It doesn’t help that lots of influencers are encouraging this hate, whether on purpose or not. Fire emblem is one of Sakurai’s favourite game series, and he seemed so passionate while explaining it.
I really love Sothis, but i wish they had fleshed out her relationship with Byleth a bit more...I really hope she gets proper C, B, and A supports in the free update, since it doesnt seem like its in the DLC. Rhea can get up to A rank before the timeskip, so they could do the same with Sothis imo.

Meanwhile Hero and Joker... And Banjo also "technically" could be considered a sword user because Kazooie (the bird) is just a feathery sword with a projectile. So before Byleth's reveal, the DLCs had 3 out of 5 characters that are sword users.
Hands down the oddest support in the game. Do want more Sothis in the game - she’s an interesting character and having her opine on your actions would make for an interesting dynamic - but bringing her back into things like this was way too forced.

FS Smash posted a video of the responses on his main channel. I admit I'm an Animal Crossing fan, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna witch hunt, and honestly, FE3H and the franchise, in general, can't catch a break, people need to chill and respect others.

I must say, I really like the fact that Sothis can stay with you forever and have some fun in your head and your thoughts. But calling it "love" and S-support is really weird. Sothis is still a cute and funny character tho, I'd like to see more of her (FEH has already started to do that lol)
I doubt she is equal to Naga, considering Naga's people were so powerful they had to take the form of humans to avoid going crazy due to her own power, and she can only be killed by her own fang, blessed with her own power (and by Grima, who seems to be the only character more powerful than even her). But 3H doesn't seem to take place in the same Universe as the Marth-games anyways, so it's not exactly possible to compare.
I would imagine Sothis lost quite a bit of her power when she created her "Children" since all of their power were a part of her at some point, i'm not even sure her children know what her original form was capable of doing.
Shinobu maybe Sothis was more efficient in her way of creating her dragons, and could keep their power in check. The Crests stones were probably better than dragon stones. Also, I think Sothis was only killed because she she used a lot of her power driving TWSITD underground, and then repairing Fodlan back to perfect condition again. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sothis can create actual meteors and stuff unlike the spells in the game. If you look at the opening cutscene after Seiros kills Nemesis, you can see what looks like Sothis falling to Fodlan from a what looks to be a meteor or something similar to her attack she does in FEH (also, you can see adult Sothis in one of those many pictures if you pause it at the right time. Not the Mural picture, but you can see the back of the actual adult Sothis. That’s just an off topic, but interesting thing I wanted to bring up). Also by the sound of it, she was able to easily deal with the Javelins of Light, and we know how terrifying those are. I would assume Sothis is efficient with Tome travel since that’s her gimmick, create powerful dragons with her blood like the ones we see, and I’m convinced Seiros and the others was way stronger thousands of years ago considering they haven’t fought in like a thousand years. Rhea was able to tank Javelins of light and possibly survive depending on which route and support rank in her dragon form, and from what we know, Sothis dragon form must have been really huge for her to change into a human so she doesn’t freak out the people of Fodlan, so I would assume she’s way more durable than Rhea, and could probably rip through dimensions like how Byleth did.
Also, like how Naga can only be killed by Grima or by her own fang, isn’t Sothis supposed to only be killable by someone else who has the Crests of flame? I heard that Nemesis wasnt really killed by Seiros, but was sealed away or something since she had the Crests of Seiros, and not Flames. I do wonder how Nemesis was able to kill Sothis if that is the case even if Sothis exhausted using most of her power to fix Fodlan. The support is literally the same in Crimson Flower? The literal dialogue? As she says 'The stone within your heart' I think is weird. Though, I like the support. I do like Sothis' personality too.
There is a little difference : in Crimson Flower, she said that the stone is no more, while in the other scenarios, for her the stone is just a decoration, because she lives now in Byleth's soul in the two cases So it's not the same for just this detail
I honestly thought “Edge of Dawn” was supposed to be Sothis’ song until I found out Edelgard’s voice actress sang it. But now I think it fits Edelgard better anyway

It makes you think that if the next dlc character were to be a typical sword fighter and is not from Fire Emblem, the smash community would be pleased.

Captain Falcon had a whole anime F-Zero anime series. The whole of Persona 5, where Joker came from, is done in the most "anime" style too Hero, from Dragon Quest, is literally the product of the famous mangaka Akira Toriyama, whose works have been adapted into anime including the popular Dragon Ball series. Freakin' Pokemon with it's 10 characters came from the long running Pokemon anime series. Even Villager and Isabelle could technically be "anime" since Animal Crossing also had an anime movie that came out years ago. The show Kirby Right Back At Ya a long time ago, can also pass for an "anime" as it is literally an animation that was produced and drawn in Japan. Kirby, King DeDeDe, and Meta Knight appeared in it. If the salty Smash fans REALLY dig down at the long history of the Smash roster, they'll find that at least a third of them (if not more) have had connections and/or adaptations to "anime".
