You even put your bases in sensible places, like the middle of the desert, but close enough to civilization to recruit people and get supplies. and then all these random civilians keep going for nature walks in the desert and stumbling upon your facilities so that some kid can assult them

You actually CAN purify Shadow Lugia. Catch 36 hoppips from a pokestop, fill every slot in the digital purify chamber with them, and then try to purify Shadow Lugia.
@@GT-Rev OR - and hear me out here - you can just purify the Shadow Pokemon you caught along the way and place the ones you’re not using on your team in the chamber and get all 9 complete sets that way lol. With the exception of the 4 mons I caught in the PokeSpots and the starting Eevee, all I caught and used in the chamber were Shadow Pokemon, and I easily - and quite passively - purified enough to complete all 9 sets before ever stepping foot on Citadark Isle. Honestly, I think it’s a bigger pain in the ass trying to find and catch 30+ Hoppip when you can just… play the main story while occasionally jumping back to the lab to purify mons - and steal shit from Miror B. if/when you miss any - instead, but that’s just my opinion. P.S. Just in case anyone who reads this has played the game but hasn’t figured out how to purify Shadow Lugia yet: you need all 9 sets of the chamber to be at max tempo - as in, all white “supereffective” lines in every set - and then place SL into the chamber. When the chamber’s tempo is at max and SL is in any one of the sets, SL is immediately able to be purified.
i'm actually so glad you mentioned the liveliness of the animations lol, most ppl don't rlly talk about that when they mention these games. I also really like that the pokemon are kind of further away from each other, and that the camera's a little more pulled back. it really adds to the feeling of these battles being big and intense, whereas the newer games kinda make them seem really small scale and lacking in intensity.
People don't talk about the animations and such for those games because the vast majority of assets for the Pokemon were ripped directly from Stadium 2.
Also, for the people wondering why some of the pokemon models look so low-quality, there's a reason for that. They reused the old Pokemon Stadium models wherever possible. That's why the Gen 3 pokemon all look so much better, because they were new and had to actually be made for these Gamecube games. That's why that Exeggutor for instance looks so polygonal.
Reminder that you literally start Pokémon Colosseum by blowing up Team Snagem's hideout right after you steal their Snag Machine. The Orre games were wild
"I don't care what organization you're from. If you can successfully kidnap an entire village, you've earned my respect." I'm just finally glad they finally put a COMPITENT evil organization in a game.
I feel a great distrubance on the internet, as if millions of voices suddenly awoke and cried out in unison. I fear it's something terrible they speak of.
When I was a kid I found Jovie annoying, but now that I'm an adult I think it's cute how much she loves her big brother. And how she wants to protect him at all costs (even if she doesn't know she lacks the ability to do so).
I can see how Jovie can get on people's nerves, but as someone with a little sister with the same amount of energy and love to give, I think I'd just end up finding it endearing lol
Gotta say I was not expecting Jaiden to both diss modern Pokemon animation and casually mention Queen Elizabeth's death in the last 30 seconds, so that threw me for a loop. Also, the faces in this video look fantastic
Hang on…a secretive organization operating in a desert with a major off-shore base that kidnaps whole villages? And the game, which is the second in its series, opens with a kidnapping by said organization and ends with an infamously tough boss fight? Now where have I heard that before…
Man, I actually really like the concept of shadow pokemon, I wish they used it more! There's clear advantages to using them if people don't give a shit about their pokemon's well being. I could see a dystopian society where the only way to actually make it as a trainer is by abusing your pokemon, kinda like horseracing where you can't really pretend the system's honest and still do well. I think a neat balancer could be making the pokemon unwilling to listen to you. Not in the way badges do, but in that they use their moves randomly, sacrificing strategy for raw power. Not to mention they'd be extra dangerous and difficult to control. I've always wanted to see a pokemon game where your bond with the pokemon and what kind of training you do with them affects how they play.
Honestly I'm surprised Shadow pokemon aren't like, the norm for most evil Teams. But yeah, I doubt Nintendo will ever use them again. It just seems like the type of thing that would imply Pokemon *can* be abused (despite y'know, the fact that they're captured and used to fight eachother for sport), which = not kid friendly.
The XD game already has that balanced mechanic, causing shadow Pokémon to “go into frenzy mode” which can cause them to hurt themselves or randomly attack anyone on the field.
So, we aren’t talking about this line at all? “The captain looks like he want to passionately kiss Lugia on the lips, but lugia isn’t here for kisses, he’s here for the opposite of kisses… which is crime.” Genius.
I love that the video just started, no explanation of why she’s been gone for 3 months, just immediately get into the story, and I love this channel for it.

"He may not be purifyable, but he's mine now" Well, yes and no. You see, it's impossible to Purify Shadow Lugia under NORMAL means, but it IS possible to Purify it. You asked why the Purify Chamber was needed when the Relic stone still exists in G.O.D (which I know may have been a joke, but still)? Well the Relic stone, while still capable of Purifying any other Shadow Pokemon, is a bit slow since you can only Purify one at a time (and no Time Flute to help speed up the process, since I assume Wes from the prior game used them all). The Purify Chamber can Purify up to 10 at a time. It's also the only way to Purify Shadow Lugia. To do so, you need to raise the Tempo of all 10 rooms to Max, then place Shadow Lugia in one of them. That's it.
@@AlexThat200 If I remember correctly, it hits both enemies with a super high base attack power, so yea it's good. Lowers special attack after using it though. In future games though, it was nerfed to also hit allies, like Surf was.

I dunno HOW my family could afford it at the time, as my family was very poor back then.

@DONT READ MY PROFILE PICTURE ok I won’t
People don't talk about the animations and such for those games because the vast majority of assets for the Pokemon were ripped directly from Stadium 2.

Also, for the people wondering why some of the pokemon models look so low-quality, there's a reason for that. They reused the old Pokemon Stadium models wherever possible. @WarlordofBrittania I don’t know but I’m curious now
Man, I actually really like the concept of shadow pokemon, I wish they used it more!
@DONT READ MY PROFILE PICTURE who fucking asked
Honestly I'm surprised Shadow pokemon aren't like, the norm for most evil Teams.
But yeah, I doubt Nintendo will ever use them again. It just seems like the type of thing that would imply Pokemon *can* be abused (despite y'know, the fact that they're captured and used to fight eachother for sport), which = not kid friendly.
The XD game already has that balanced mechanic, causing shadow Pokémon to “go into frenzy mode” which can cause them to hurt themselves or randomly attack anyone on the field.

"He may not be purifyable, but he's mine now"
Well, yes and no.
That's it.

I was at first like: "it can't be that bad" but after mentioning the Grape dude from MHA, I realized how bad the situation is😧🫥
Ohhh, I started playing this game about two months ago, and I'm still dumbfounded that the game has better battle animation than the newer titles, very nice game.
Just the models for the NPC look really "unique".
And better plot
If they had more than 1 year to work on a Pokemon game ever they might look nicer
@@Letsplaymoron cope
@@Letsplaymoron They could stop doing remakes and have a full three years of development time especially now that ILCA can do remakes for them. But knowing Gamefreak they won't do the smart thing.

As someone who’s been a long time fan of Jaiden, seeing her post another cleverly written hilarious video game animation brings me joy.
ok
They’re always hilarious
Shadow Lugia actually made catching Greevils team incredibly easy
So true. I just finished the game last month and I considered resetting because it made the final battle so easy. He'd just tank every shadow hit.
...Aaaaand you just made me realize that Shadow Lugia was designed specifically for this purpose. Oh my god. That's actually pretty decent game design; Kid Me just wanted his Fair Fight and refused to do it this way. XD

Es totalmente cierto. Gracias
"Not here for kisses here for crime" would be Jaiden's imaginary tinder profile based off her playthrough of the ghost speed dating game.

Omw to earn jaiden’s respect
She must have mad respect for MineCraft players
Jaiden: “The game was fun… and weird. I like it.”
This is the EXACT reaction I had after completing the game! It’s definitely still one of my favorites coming from the GameCube😂
I would also say the same for other games I've played that weren't Pokemon games but I had lots of fun with
I love the new addition in the series “Jaiden gradually plays every Pokémon game” 👍

I love this game. It was the first ever pokemon game I played or even owned for years until getting a ds. So glad to see a video about it from you. Though, just a biiiiiit late to watching it.
