@@Gerolamo_Cardano As far as trading goes bloomberg is really overglorified. Its crazy that these guys are using thinkorswim though. Even crazier since its a free software.
Absolutely! It's refreshing to see authenticity and real insights in the trading space, especially when so many just focus on promoting products. Genuine traders who share their true experiences make the community stronger and help us all grow. The value of transparency can't be overstated!
My favourite parts: - drawing down sucks for everyone. Great of you to include this, as beginners might not realise that being "profitable" is not a final destination reached once and for all, but rather something you have to keep working for, you have to earn it, over and over and over again. Drawing down sucks no matter what size you're trading, the doubts creep back in, even after years of experience and X amount of money made. Thanks Max for sharing. - on exponential bet sizing, I relate to the part about being nervous to add size being a clear internal sign that this might not be a A setup but a B or C instead. The A+ setups are so clear, so obvious, they feel very different. - "coming into big events as energized and refreshed as possible" a thousand times yes! Managing energry, mental capital as well as financial capital is crucial. Coming in tired is a sure way of making sloppy decisions, which usually end up being costly. Great video overall, thanks to the team for putting this up and Max for being a part of it.
This is an important observation. Most elite traders do not like drawing down too much. Making more for them is not learning to handle more downside pain, but rather being more selective with their trades and cutting trades that are not working quickly.
Props to Max for showing the grind behind real trading. The comeback from a $1M drawdown is insane. As an options trader, I'd love to see more on how prop traders manage risk on volatile days like Fed announcements!
I've been apart of Inside Access since last April, and all the meetings are apart of my everyday routine now, as well as Trader DNA and The Winning Trader(which I'm currently working on). With the Apex drama going on (see the day trading subreddit for those who don't know) this comes at a great time, giving people an inside look at a LEGITIMATE proprietary firm. Thank you guys for uploading this, fascinating to see what goes on in a day from one of your traders.
@ice69191 I don't think I can share the link, but pretty much one of the heads of APEX was recorded on a video call talking about technique's they use to screw over people utilizing their service. He was talking about how they purposely make people wait for payouts and make them jump through hoops, in hopes they trade worse. Pretty much purposely stressing customers out so that they trade worse.
It’s definitely a departure from the usual “glamour shot” trading content you see online. In real prop trading, especially at a place like SMB, you’ll find far more focus on routine, risk management, and real edge than on gym-sauna-ice-bath “flexes” or “done in 30 minutes” claims.while it might not be as Hollywood as Lambos, luxury breakfasts, and million-dollar trades before 9:31 AM, it’s a lot closer to what successful full-time trading actually looks like behind the scenes.
Really enjoyed this. Cool to see things from a different perspective. Also he dropped some real gems, like when he mentioned his feelings when using size and how it helped him realize the quality of those trades.
Love hearing this Steve! We hear SMB Inside is helping many traders improve significantly. Look forward to even more progress from you. Train and Trade well.
prop traders can reach exciting levels of success (multiple six- and seven-figure years), the journey to get there involves risk management discipline, self-awareness, adaptability, and a strong support network. His biggest lesson is recognizing that not trading-or trading with small size-during lower-probability setups is just as important to long-term success as swinging big on your best trades.
This is another great video. Inspiring. I agree with some of the other comment...seeing a few other traders do this would be very cool. I'll be watching this one again and again.
Glory!!! After so much struggles I now own a new house with an influx of $360,500.00 every month God has kept to his words, my family is happy again everything is finally falling into place. God bless America🇺🇸🇺🇸
SMB technical traders are the best overall. I have watched SMB since 2020, including the young man and others from their early beginnings. It’s incredible to see their transformation into well-rounded financial traders and analysts. Mastering this skill can open doors and bring countless blessings. I have studied at many different places, and SMB is by far the most detailed and technical institution to learn from. It’s incredibly challenging and more in-depth than other programs. However, it’s clear that those who commit to the work and process become super consistent traders with remarkable adaptability and emotional intelligence. Their ability to adapt and maintain an edge by consistently gathering new talent is inspiring. Great job, SMB keep up the amazing work, and all the best for continued success!
Something that shows with videos like this is how humble elite traders are. Super dope guys! You can really see how pushing aside your ego, putting your head down, grinding, and always wanting to be better is super crucial with these vids.
