Thank you for the breakdown, your content keeps making it easier for me to understand how trading works in general. My question now is how can I approach the market at best if l'm still a newbie with no trading experience?
Firstly you should create your trading strategy, second is your system that has an hedge and lastly you need to have a proper trading psychology. You need all 3 to reach profitability, without having these 3 you just might not be profitable
Open a demo account with any broker and start trading. Figure out what concept is suitable for your trades and then you can transition over to prop firms.
Spend a couple of months to fully understand the basic of the market
@HEDAMJOHNSON just got started with trading and I'm still developing my own trading strategies. how do I go about getting proper trading psychology ? so I can get to trade profitably.
Trading with ex perts helps beat uncertainty, emotions and also gives you proper trading psychology. Basically why I work with trading ex pert cooper to secure my financial spot while I learn and earn through the provided analysis.
Just understanding that the right energy in your life is one gem I get from this guy
I have been needing a lesson like this for over a decade now. Better late than never.
Really great presentation. The most interesting part was around the 4 minute mark - I would have loved a good question on preparation in the Q&A. "In every performance field there is more time spent practicing and learning than actually performing" - Biggest golden nugget in the hour
The emphasis on mentorship and practice over just jumping into the market is spot on. It's not about luck; it's about strategy and discipline. 💪
Love his positivity and outlook. 😊
Absolute gem, thank you for sharing.
Thanks as always for the great content.
Fantastic lecture. Thank you for sharing
i agree with Doc! you have to find what strategy/setup makes sense to you the most and trade that. become an expert at it and make it work for you. makes perfect sense! ... way to go doc!
Thankyou for this great lecture 🎉
thank you for sharing this
Great coaching - thanks!
Great seminar!
Very inspiring, and so many truths shared there. Thanks for posting!
Great insights ! Dr. Brett Steenbarger mentioned about low volatility creating on average more reversals, is that because true momentum creates a sustained directional volatility and without it, stocks tend to reverse to the mean ?
Good to hear you sir.
May I know what will be ideal chart time frame we can use for scalping.
Thanks for sharing! Was worried this one was going private after watching half of it yesterday. Awesome content as always
Amazing video thank you
Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you bro.
Been waiting for this long time, Than you for sharing!
Thanks for sharing
Thank you so very much
❤
Thank you for the content
you are welcome!
This is Awesome training! Very much appreciated!
My favorite trades are longs into retail shorts stopping out. My best trades are within the first 15 minutes after the open.
Can you be more specific? At what point do you think retail shorts are stopping out?
@@charliemcgrainhe doesn’t know what he’s talking about.. or his strategy really is to play against .01% of daily volume which i doubt is profitable LOL
@charliemcgrain he waits until buy stops are taken and then longs after. So after an old low is taken or after a major dump. And these moves usually happen the most during NY am session.
It's very helpful
Thank you
Thank you Mike for sharing. This is so valuable for traders.
Possibly the most valuable content you’ve posted. A+
Finest channel for pro traders ❤ #SMB
Nice share. His book had a major impact on my approach toward markets many, many years ago.
Thank you SMB capital for giving this out freely on youtube!
Dr Brett is a legend in this field!
do you guys offer online courses and do you guys take VA?
Best video.....
Amazing video and content 🎉🔥
Thank you 🙌
The goat of trading psychology
more screens = more money
always more!
not one bit of truth in that
I could use more screens to keep an eye on changes to the macro, in real time.
When people ask why I have four screens on my desk, I respond "because I can't fit 6"
this is wrong assumpion
I watched this 2x. Great information, especially when he discusses the hedge funds. Would like to see him in person
YES we are TRADERS
Owe you sir
I have learned that Successful Traders have biggest temperament of Patience
Gold
This is pure Gold
So if people learn from mentoring, there had to be someone elite who started the ball rolling! Therefore, you can learn yourself it just takes longer.
Mindset > Trading Strategy. Every time.
Isnt hedge funds trade with bots? HFT algorithms and so on ? Or am i missing smth? Shouldnt we start thinking as bots and try to outsmart them ?
Its crazy how traders can have all the knowledge in the world but them as individuals can't improve themselves
Great content as always.
Is that Lance? Is he at SMB now? :o
Yes, Lance works with us and the traders
World view, idea generator, and gatekeeping --keep it simple.

I want he talgram
great speech, but even if someone listen to this 5 times, he or she will not make money. Making money is a mindset, losing money and keep losing it is also a mindset- its a battle between you vs you ! minimum skills and practice are inevitably important else u will lose your kidneys but money wont come
Yeah…the video is back up again
To make the claim that he is the greatest psychological trader is pretty bold. Everyone knows Mark Douglas was the best and still is even after his passing.
Mark Douglas laid the foundation and everyone builds on top. Dr. S is one of the best if not the best builder. 😊
Mark Douglas wasn't even a psychologist. He just wrote a book that sold well.
@@shayneduncan6600 That was precisely how he was able to write both trading in the zone and disciplined trader. If he was a psychologist to begin with, he wouldn't even have those original perspective, and also the sincerity in communicating his fundamental truths of trading to the world. Stop being a hater
Finally someone recognized Mark Douglas, he's underrated and his the only one you need to win in this game

Where and when are these SMB capital meetups/confrences??
We will do an annual one in NYC and now that we have a Miami office we’d like to host more down there as well.
Anyone wanna team up? I trade SMC ICT
I trade tip
They all trade currencies in massive quantities. As a matter of fact that's all they do. It takes money to make money. As a matter of fact, tomorrow's currency exchange rate is dictated by today's buys and sells. Well it's a 24/7/365 kind of deal. You're welcome!
You can use GPT or Claude to divine insights from your trades.
it’s interesting how a psychologist bacame a technical analyst
the only reason you need a shrink is you are not confident in your trades
True
It should be illegal to not rhyme “in some measure, to some degree, you are already the person you seek to become”🖕🏼
Trading psychology is for those who have no understanding of technicals and fundamentals. Makes you feel good but has no successful track record.
because profitable traders rely on certainty in an system based off of uncertainty… math skills anyone?
He ain’t ICT tho
THOSE INDIANS QUESTIONING ARE KILLING ME LMAO😂
hope no one gonna get offended because i do like this channel a lot, specially the regular traders that explain things but man , trading pshychology must be the most bogus thing invented in this century, how people cant see that you cant think like a winner if your not one is just one thing that i will never get, ill just have a wild guess and say they have no clue what "mindset" and pshychology really means.
So… using your own “brilliant” logic those who don’t think like winners will never be winners.. Have you ever met a winner that thinks like a loser? Does that make him a loser then?
Oh wait… 🤣
@@AngelRodriguez-dz8yd You wanted to reply for the sake of replying right? cuz ive read your comment 72 times and has nothing to do with what ive sayd, yea you should feel dum but anyway i will gladly adress to what you just ask just to make you feel even more unconfortable so here it is : have i met a winner that thinks like a losser ? yes i have and is called perfect place perfect moment + random event but the guy is clueless about life itself, anything else that you would like to be schooled in ? lmk
@@alexanderargint1396 again.. using your logic. 1. youve met a loser that wins= winner
2. you cant think like a winner if you’re not one
3. point 1 according to you means he’s a winner, therefore he thinks like a winner because if he wasn’t he would be losing.
4. You make the anecdote of him winning due to luck, so you believe winners are just lucky?
schooling yourself more like..
danning kruger effect in action to that person you mention and including your own analysis LOL
@@AngelRodriguez-dz8yd you should stop keyboardwarrioring and go out and experience life, cuz the nonsense that you try to make sense of has 0 value in real world, you are braiwashed by "personal development cult", from the "you met a loser that wins=winner" thing that you just sayd makes everything sense,, you are clueless about how things work in life
Hope @smbcapital the scammers you aren't policing in Comments are paying you.
chill dude they make 8 figures trading
This has to be the most discouraging and disappointing video I’ve ever seen for day trading.
he’s dropping gems about patience and the value of learning from others and their experiences, idk what you on twin
You lost all credibility when you quoted Ayn Rand. She died extremely depressed and homeless.
Did Jesse Livermore, who had a terrible end, also have nothing of value to say? Does our finality ending poorly mean that we had nothing to offer? Should you really judge the entire credibility of someone who said one thing you disagree with? Are you really that shallow?
@@Josh-Joneshmm questionable indeed
Waste of time.. general discussion
You're comment shows how dump You're .
Awful clickbait. Avoid this.
Quoted Ayn Rand. Nuff said
If one was unsure of the intellectual capacity of this guy, you know now. Shallow as they come...
@@dme80 Your butt does seem shallow, its already hurting
@@dme80 Your inability to see past your own obvious political biases to see the value in something you disagree with says more about your own intellectual capacity than anything.
@@Josh-Jones Political views is one thing, but she is just a god-awful writer and calling her a philosopher would be a mad stretch. Quoting her just shows bad intellectual taste. Okay for a 15 year old, who has not read anthing good, but unacceptable for an old guy.
