Boy I sold mine 18 years ago , best bike I ever had ! Took it into the Sahara and to Croatia on a race track super handling and yes you are handling it very well. Never sell that piece !
Od 40 lat jestem fanem enduro i cieszę się na widok mistrzowskiej jazdy MADE IN POLAND :) Jutro wtaczam moją piękną Tenere 87' do salonu na zimowanie. M.in. Twoje filmy spowodowały, że po 30 latach przerwy wracam na 2oo właśnie na xt600, choć z moim pokiereszowanym kręgosłupem w terenie tak już niestety nie pojadę.Sound bajeczny....Szerokiej i gumowych drzew, pozdrawia Gdańsk ;)
Thanks for sharing this... I'm currently riding a XR 650 l and it is similar to this here.. bike is 350 lbs approximately.. I ride it like a dirt bike, but don't try to get air on it.. it's basically a dirt bike that can hit 100 MPH.. I love it.. Robert Jr NJ here..
Bought 1 new in 99. Loved it. I see the old speedo cable snapped. They only lasted 5 minutes. I wish they still made bikes like this. Imagine the 700 raptor motor in a more modern frame like the XR650r.
Had the '83 version of this machine. It was a lot of fun drifting fire roads and in soft sand but a wrestling match in tight woods. Real heavy with a soft suspension that easily bottomed out & I only weighed 160 lbs. Good grunt but a 250cc MXer of the era would leave it behind. Broke 3 kickstarters off because it was such a bear to start hot. Bet it would have made a superb desert sled. Enjoyed the vid, thanks for the thumper music!
Really ,? I'm 259 pounds and my tt600 is smooth and handles jumps and bumps and trails just as smooth as any bike can. You must of had bad shock or own suspension ? Only 160 pounds you weighed ? Your bike needed something fixed if it was soft and did not handle trails well . My buddies on their ,250 and 500 2 strokes can not keep up to me. On the straight aways they take me off the line , but once these big 600 cc open up I hit over 100 mph yes I do , I have verified with several ways to prove my bike can hit 103 mph.
+mdo686 , I got the DR650. Weighs about 20 lbs more than the 400. Stock tires are like riding with racing slicks in the dirt...best off swapping them out for the best knobbies you can that are still "legal".
I had a TTR-250 and I used this for thick mud weather wet and raining mostly, but when it was dry I was extremely suprised of the pulling power at such low speeds with little revs... And to see this one pulling him along makes no wonder that they made a 600 version.. I amazed at the sound of the 600, the 250 93 enduro was a quiet bike until the exhausht was changed.. By the way with stock exhausts these bikes engines can fully submerge underwater up to the underside of the seat! They simply do not make bike with brains beofre computer design anymore... I now have my thoughts on buying a TTR 600 .
Sounds good, what kind of pipe? I had an Arrow on my 99 XT600 sounded amazing, unfortunately they don't make one for my 2014 DR 650 but the Leo Vince sounds pretty good, just not as well designed as the Arrow.
I have inherited my Fathers mint 1988 TT 350. 1600km or 1000miles. I have transformed it into a 380 with tubeliss Gen wheels and tyres. Ohlins front internals suspension. Faaast suspension handle bars. Wilburs customised rear 100kg rated spring suspension. 38mm carby. DG race exhaust. Lightened actuated clutch. It wasn't about the Beta 300RR I could have bought, it was building something unique fast and that could keep up with the Beta. It still grabs attention. Still living the dream
I owned a red one and the later Yamaha blue versions. The nine litre tank meant I had to refill everyday, commuting to work. Plus it didn't have a locking petrol cap. I later bought a huge Acerbis fuel tank. It was hell to restart after dropping it on the ground. Otherwise a solid bike. I wished it had a electric starter. Built for the apocalypse.
what an epic trail , great skills man ! i just bought the same one with the yellow TT letters and its a heavy bike man , its not like the honda XR . And you got some great skills handling it so easy like its a bicycle ! great sound , great settings , great video
Hi bro, nice bike, my question is, do you recommend it? The power i am sure that is enought, i can see it, but how about the weight that this bike has?
The Belgarda was definitely the most well engineered big enduro of its time, the 5 valve head is the secret, it gives them more torque, than outright HP, BULLETPROOF.

+Enduro Hołdziorze My weight is 75 kg :D i got 14 teeths secondary wheel and 44 teeths drive rack do you think its powerful enough for driving in forest and medium terrain? Would it be possible to do a slow wheelie? :DD Ive seen almost all of the vids about TTR600 and also this one. Sometimes its hard to start it up by leg and not even by hand :D
+Samuel Rebroš if you are driving on 80% of the forest and the terrain and 20% street, this change to 48/50 rear ,you do not need such a slip clutch 1st gear is then very short and not tugging so. Slow wheelie ?everything is possible :)
+Enduro Hołdziorze Im just looking for right sprocket into medium terrain without too short first gear that i could use also at roads. Thanks for your tips :)
What year is that? Where was it made? What brand suspension and brakes? They never brought these to the US, but I have one made in Italy, Ohlins shock, inverted KYB fork, Brembo brakes. The US version turned into a pig after 89, gained 40 plus pounds, steel wheels, less travel, electric start. Before that, the US versions of the 80's were made in Japan, gold aluminum rims, kick start, but Japanese suspension and brakes, not as good as European versions,
Great sound, no stupid music thank you. Burnouts, drifts, doughnuts, log hopping and single track. Only skipped the police chase😉 Great video!

Four valve.
How do you handle the clutch, isn't it hard to pull it after a few hours of riding or do i just have to get used to it?
You could install the Easy Clutch.
