  • Drawing Boats and Seascape from imagination. Main focus are Perspective and Horizontal line. Distance of objects, Proportion of the architecture. Understanding for Lighting Direction, Shades and Shadow. Foreground, Middle ground and Background to be able to tell what surfaces are in front, middle and back. I'm using 2B-6B pencil, Carpenter pencil and 1.3mm pencil on smooth Bristol paper (Lists below)

    Carpenter Pencil (Lumber) from any hardware store.
    (*Wide flat tip - sharpen with Utility Knife and Sand Paper. Please be careful using the knife)

    Hi, your drawings are amazing! What is that piece of plastic that you're using to prevent smudging? Is it specifically for drawing or is it just a piece that you found. I see it works as a ruler too. Great stuff!!

      Oh thank you for your kind words. The clear plastic helps me to see through while drawing and helps protect smudging. I cut it off from the flat backside of packaging that u bought from store . Large enough to use, sturdy and not too thick. You can use anything that you think it would work. Have fun on ur experiment!
