  • Decided to slap some sticker RE71Rs on the S2k for Laguna. They don’t like to be driven like this for long, but it was enough to get one good lap in per session 😄
    2008 S2000 - 45k miles
    -1.6F/-2.2R camber
    225/255 RE71Rs
Project Mu CRA pads + ATE TYP200 fluid
    Exclusive track days - 8/27/19, A group

Ok, this is impressive. No aero! Lap time goals with minimal mods!

This is such a great lap! Going to bring my Imola S2000 to the Bay Area and see if I can manage to get close! Been awhile since I have been to Laguna.

I'm watching your video....and thinking how humorous to see all the s2000's with 3500$ suspension and aeros doing like 1:45+

And not just that. With big brakes, lsd, 100 treadwear tires

Awesome job fixing that rattling noise! Oh yeah, good driving too, I guess.

Didn't know you could take that line in turn 2 and still be this fast ..

Hey man sweet driving. If you wouldn’t mind, what’s your audio set up? I can’t for the life of me get good audio from my GoPro set up with an external lav mic and windscreen. Thanks!

Hey! Believe it or not this audio is straight from the built-in mic (GoPro session 5). Ive found lav mics can be a mixed bag for automotive as the placement is super important - where are you putting it?

@@W33lhop Woah that is amazing! The wind noise is soo low compared to my Hero 3+ Black. I've tried a bunch of different places, passenger side floor board, license plate, under the seats, inside the trunk, and rear bumper above the exhaust. I just got an Olympus mic so hopefully the change will help.

@@specamit one thing I didn’t like about an external with the GoPro is the GoPro will auto-level it which amplifies quiet sounds. For my last track day (video not uploaded yet) I got a separate field recorder and just shoved it in the passenger cargo net and the sound improved quite a bit over this one as well. That’s the same setup DIYGuys uses, you can check out his latest track videos for a sample of the sound quality.

@@W33lhop Heck yea, you guys are freaking awesome to watch and learn from! Got soo into watching your guys driving that I forgot I that I came for the audio lol. The field recorder sounded great, I guess manually syncing audio in post is just the best way to go. Appreciate the input, and I'll likely see you guys out at Laguna or Thunderhill one of these days. Thanks again!

Very nice car control! There is room to go faster with less drifting (you obviously know it). Looks like the track needs resurfacing.

You have an s2000 AND an E30??? Holy shit.
My F30 is quick but you have better track cars for sure.
