Jordan. My hair started thinning in my early 40's. I came home after a motorcycle ride, looked into the mirror and realized how thin it had gotten. Then, I grabbed the clippers shaved my head and never looked back. Don't sweat losing your hair. Anyone who cares if you have hair or not isn't worth wasting any time on. I say embrace it and save yourself the money on hair cuts and hair replacement. It also takes a lot less time to get ready in the morning. I wish you the best!

  • @EnemyOfYourStat
    @EnemyOfYourStat 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hey Jordan, I am an electrician and one of the tricks we use is to strip back about 6-12” or so of your insulation on your wire and then cut a couple of the wires out. Then use the remaining wires to make a loop. Next use your fish line to loop through the wire loop and tape up from there. This ensures a chain-like lock while maintaining a small profile. Hope it helps in the future of fishtape adventures! Love you guys and hope to one day have a boat for my family. 🤙🏼

My uncle is here with me, he is a very experinced cruiser. He says that now, while in build mode, it is the time to start a list of parts and tools to accululate for your trip. pumps, filters, filter vessls, tools, wire, tubing, tube clamps, through holes, impellers for pumps, etc. And just bite the bullet and buy an extra transducer.

Jordan, I had a similar situation in that I would lose patches of hair just overnight. One morning I got up my whole sideburn was gone. What it was for me I believe was pure unadulterated stress. No need to go into why I was stressed but it was most stressful time in my life and that was the result I would lose patches of hair. Your situation might be different. One positive thing is that it actually grew back eventually. I do hope that the situation for you can be resolved. I followed you both for a long time on TH-cam. Wishing you and yours the absolute best. Stay well and happy. ⛵

Being a mechanic for many years I have to say using sealed butt connectors on the navigation light system would be a no-no for me. I'd personally buy a small hand held soldering iron and solder them.
Butt connectors are unreliable and are prone to fail (i.e. gremlins) in my highly experienced, but humble opinion.

I found my first patch sitting in class when I was a senior in high school. After that it would come and go. My first year teaching I lost most hair on the top of my head. I starting shaving my head when I was a substitute teacher. I had kids ask if my head was tattooed. I tried treatment but the hair would come and go on its own schedule. These days the shaved head look is popular so try not to stress. Just think of the savings on hair products.

The medication for is kenalog-40 injection which is triamcinolone acetodine. I had the treatment I'm multiple places and it works perfect after 2-3 weeks you get your hair back. Trust me ask your doctor because this is a prescription here in Canada. It works the best. Good luck with Atticus 2. I am waiting for you guys to see what else you do to it. Running wire is always fun. Here's a trick we've used many times, always with success. With duplex or any sized encased wire cut the end square. About 3/4" of an inch from the end make a hole between the wire and through both sides of the casing. Take a paper clip or piece of similar semi stiff wire and run it through the home and fold it back against the underside of the casing. Punch a second hole about 1/2" from the wire's end. Pass the free end of the paper clip through this hole. Tie a stout string to the paper clip. Then pull the paper clip all the way through as tight as you can bend it back against the casing. Wrap in electrical tape; taper the tape over the string. No rigid edges. That connection can withstand a lot of pressure when you are pulling the string.
I liked the trick with the vacuum .Never thought of that.
    Good luck with projects.

The only thing about the grits that I said "huh?" was the egg wash. The 'eggs' came out of a half gallon carton. That said, I'll bet it is good eats.

Well, watched this even though it had a somewhat negative title. Very glad as I love solar. I missed why you removed the chain plates, they looked really good. Perfect in fact. Wow, I'd love to taste that. Anything with Shrimp (you did say shrimp right ? ) So good. It reminds me of this special dish I ordered, sitting at a bar in a somewhat fancy restaurant. An interesting lady came out and, my typical shyness, I didn't say much to her. She sat right next to me, didn't say much, I could tell she was watching me eat. Eventually i put two and two together and realized she was the owner and this was a dish new on the menu, and I might have been the first to order it. It was delicious and she could tell I loved it I hope .

wire pulling is very frustrating. BTW... never hurts to pull an extra string in certain places in case you need to make a future pull, and hopefully you ohm'ed out each wire after the pull just to ensure nothing happened during the pull? Yes, a friend of mine had that alopecia hair loss, stress they think, and got treatments of some kind of steroid injection in scalp, to get it growing back. You have lots cables, a label maker helps when you mark both ends of a cable. If you ever have to start taking things apart it helps it all go back together allot faster.

For pulling wires. Buy a roll of this dynema cord SAMSON ROPE
Lash It! Single Braid Accessory Cord. It has a breaking strength of 500lbs. It is expensive but lasts forever. It is 1/16” x 180’ and slick and a roll will last forever.

3:10....POI Stagger the length of the pos & neg connections, it makes for a smaller diameter connection that is easier to fit a conduit or make it thru an existing run.

You guys have bitten off a lot to do at one time, so it’s not surprising that you feel overwhelmed at times. Maybe head to Nova Scotia this summer to avoid next hurricane season in the tropics. You may never get the chance again once you head South. And it keeps you in boat project friendly waters to test out all the new systems. It also might make it easier to leave with a few things not quite finished knowing you have Annapolis, Newport, and Maine facilities and easy shipping in your future. Then hightail it South as soon as Hurricane season is calming down.

I have a boat like yours in that mechanics hate to work on it. I do the work but it takes me double, maybe triple the time. I'm learning a lot about something I prayed not to have to learn. Oh well, at least the work is getting done and rather poorly at times I may add!

My dad has something similar to that when I was a kid. It started on the side os his had as a small circle and it grew from there. I think it was related to stress. I will ask them and let you know. But I think it when away on its own. I will keep you abreast.
