    NWZ from the 90s is my favorite Zorro show. I can’t believe it’s not mentioned here.

    And of course, without Zorro, we wouldn’t have - Say it with me, DC fanboys - Batman. Con permiso!

    See! With Disney Plus, I think this would be a prime time to not only bring back the series but to start a new series as well!

    4:55: Guy didn't want to ride a horse in the parade, because he didn't know the horse they gave him and he didn't know how it would react to the crowds, so he didn't want anyone to get hurt or anything.

    Are we just pretending the Duncan Regehr Zorro series from the early 1990s never happened? I grew up on it. Actually it's how my friends and I discovered the character as a kid

    You forgot the Zorro series produced in the 90s starring Duncan Regehr and Efrem Zimbalist Jr.

    • @zvonimirtomac7896
      @zvonimirtomac7896 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, Efrem Zimbalist Jr. was only there for one season. He was replaced by Henry Darrow, an actor who played Zorro in the past and most people remember him as Alejandro de la Vega of this show.

    I'm a 38 year old man from Argentina and I still get goosepons all over when I hear the Zorro theme it's a shame the things they have done with zorro There's Only one Zorro and that is Mrs catalano alias guy Williams all the ones before him and after him were just jokes he had the best look for it a very handsome man the way he moved when he fenced it was very graceful he looked very dashing with his costume unlike the others they looked like the bought a cheap Zorro outfit from eBay to go to a Halloween party PLEASE, I also have to say that no just guy was great but el sargento garcia cabo reyes Don alejandro bernardo and Capitan monasterio they were all amazing they all contributed to the huge success Zorro had world wide viva ZORRO!

    Not mentioned here, there has been several animated adaptations of Zorro that were produced over the years as well in several countries.

    Not a bad explanation of the corporate history of Zorro. At one point, 3:24, a kid asks if Zorro is a real person and while Zorro the character is not real, Johnston McCulley was inspired to create Zorro by a real person called Joaquin Murrieta, a Mexican freedom fighter who avenged his raped and murdered wife. I've always wanted to see a film based on the tales of Murrieta's exploits and adventures which eventually spawned the invention of Zorro.

      @DocFaust 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My apologies. I just realized the focus of your channel. I came across your video while looking to research more about Zorro. Extremely informative. Thank you! Although the mention of Joaquin Murrieta would've been awesome, I can totally see why it wasn't relevant to the theme of your channel (pardon the pun). I just think it's important people realize Zorro is based on a real person. Thanks again!

    If a new Zorro movie was created, it would be very hard to follow The Mark of Zorro. I especially love the Tyrone Power one.
    And The Mask of Zorro is wonderful as well. Big shoes to fill.
