We've closed the majority of the race tracks across America, this is why you have this behavior out there. I believe if we give these people a place to drive, race and show off, it won't happen as much on our public streets.

Nah man. Myself and most people live within a reasonable day trip distance to a track in america. Most people not all. But you need a lot more than just a car and yourself to drive on track and it’s unreasonably expensive. That’s why you see this behavior on the street. It’s not even half the price including several speeding tickets impounds and legal fees considered.
What’s fucked up is catching a felony for this shit and then being forced into a life of crime because you can’t just get a normal job after that. That’s not right. And the risk of felony doesn’t even kind of deter any of it. Just increases the stakes for no real reason.

8:35 That was featured on OnPatrol Live! I was watching when one of the officers chased down a street racer and that guy not only ended up getting his car impounded, but he also ended up taking a dump in his pants and also resisted arrest and went to jail.
I remember that one. All the dude had to do was be nice instead he decided to be a prick and talk himself into cuffs. He annoyed me. Was a nice car and dude just had to be a prick and then turned into a two year old throwing a tantrum when they said they were towing his car.

We have several dirt tracks around us and we enjoy watching them every weekend… street racing will never stop but you guys need to be safe while doing it.
I street raced 2 or 3 times a week in north Louisiana in the late 70’s and early 80’s we always raced at the same location which was a stretch of highway out in the country about 5 miles long that stretched across wooded bottom. There were no side roads in that stretch so there was no place for the cops to sneak up or monitor what we were doing and we watched both ends of that stretch as well. I drove through that stretch a couple of years ago and it is still the same. You could still race there.
“Close all the tracks they are too loud”. “Savages doing this stuff on the streets shut them down” “why doesn’t anyone do anything anymore”. All from the same person.
If these friends were intelligent enough; they would carry radios to talk to another

90% of police radio communication now is encrypted digital signal. Intercepting the signal, let alone decoding it, is next level shit, now.

In order to listen to a digital radio, you have to have a digital radio to listen with. Also, they use trunking which is were several virtual channels share a single frequency. Bearcat makes scanners that are digital, and can follow trunking system calls. Radios have come along way, but only the MILITARY is allowed to use encrypted radio calling, BRAH!!

It is not illegal to encrypt the signal, AND (I think this may be where you're confused) it is 100% legal to decrypt the signal if you have the proper equipment. Now, stop acting like a child and go do something productive with your life.

It's pretty easy to spot the unmarked suv vehicles. If it's a cop type suv, they don't have the luggage racks on their suv's. Now, those cars are harder to spot. I've seen them use old Taurus, Impala's, and even a Kia Optima. Sneaky bastards.

I roll with a classic car group and the one thing we do, albeit with a little legal help, is police ourselves. If someone acts like an idiot by doing unsanctioned burnouts, or brodies, they get a real firm talking-to. We point them out for the cops to deal with, if the cops don't see the action themselves.
A great rider once said, or continues to say..idk. But he said, “Cops get free smoke”.
This is why evey big city needs a 1/8 mile dragstrip for legal racing at the drag strips.

You would think they have a couple tracks charge people to race in a safer way
Well, many have been shut down due to noise ordnances and population growth that, in turn causes the land to become more valuable than what two paved strips of asphalt are worth. That said however, even if there were tracks 5 minutes apart, this kind of thing would still be going on. Always has, always will. A large portion of the thrill is the actual possibility of getting pinched. NO track can provide that adrenaline rush. Been there when I was young, so I understand it a bit more than some. I did eventually figure out that you have to be lucky EVERY time, but the cops only have to be lucky once.
