I'm quite impressed with this soundbar. It really is good for the price. I wouldn't look to build a 5.1 surround setup with it, but as a standalone soundbar or for an area that you need a small soundbar it is perfect.
Thanks so much for this review. I was hoping this was great for apartments because I want to be courteous and we have thin walls. Will definitely be buying this!
Great open review man. I like the fact that you will point out negatives as well as positives, too many arse licking reviewers are scared of negative words. Thanks man.
Seems like that arc function could solve the problem. Im just recently looking into this device as one is available on the marketplace. I just want it for the sound improvements since I may be able to get it cheap. I really want to know how much power it uses too.
I have the roku wireless speakers already and I want to use them on a non roku device can I pair the stream bar to the device and then use the roku wireless speakers with that?
Check out the TCL Alto 8i! It has Dolby atmos sound and sounds AMAZING! It’s got 2 subwoofers built in and they don’t sound like crappy small subs you’re used to hearing. These things pound pretty dang hard. Harder than our LG soundbar + subwoofer does!

This bar can be coupled with their own sub and their pair of surrounds. I'd love to see that video someday, if it's happening:)
Yes but by that time youre spending $400. You can get a competant 3.1 system for that or even a 7.2 av reciever with bluetooth and $100 bookshelf bluetooth speakers with large drivers
You can, but like Quattro said, you're paying what you'd pay for a pretty ok system at that point. Plus, subwoofers are generally what makes all systems not neighbor friendly. However, if you just want all the Roku branded bells and whistles then yeah, they're there.
Yeah sadly it’s not worth the price point they’re advertising it for. Especially considering it doesn’t support Dolby Atmos. WTH!!! We all get fancy TV’s with fancy options because we want to USE THEM! 😆🤦♂️
You don't have Apple products, but you'll be able to use Apple Air Play in the coming months for casting when they do a software upgrade. They already have this feature in the U.S.
Sorry, I dont understand the English very well, but I have a question. if I have a LG nanocell SMART TV, year 2020, do you think it is a good idea buy the Roku streambar? The sound is really better than a recently Smart tv? Or, os better buy pnly the Roku streaming stick plus, for example. Thank you
You definitely should consider upgrading your speakers as in built speakers are awful. You can probably get a regular speaker use the smart functionality that is built in your tv.
I could not get mine to pair in Bluetooth mode.. tried several devices...terribly disappointed with the purchase..My Bose Soundlink is half the size.with equal if not better sound. Should have bought another one for the second TV instead of this.
Listening to Black Sabbath. I'm sold.

Ty!
Small rooms as in bedrooms and kitchen is the best for this streambar. Thats what what it was made for.
I just got the Streambar because of its compact size and added Roku 4k functionality which is perfect for my small bedroom.

Absolutely it is amazing
Does the streambar help improve audio in video games?
Absolutely

Can it only be used just like a soundbar? I'm not interested in Roku streaming service
You can combine the streambar with the roku subwoofer and the roku speakers. So you can build a 4.1 system.

I used a Sony Blue Tooth Headphone with the Roku app on a One Plus 7 pro phone and I cannot see any sound delay.
Please help me out, can it be paired with the Roku Subwoofer? I want to buy it but i read it´s not compatible, do you know something about it?
I believe so
Can I only use it for the sound with my tv and keep my Samsung IOS?
yes

Nice! Ty for sharing
Tried it pi it! Works nicely!

Thank you! I have to think if this roku streambar can be a good option or is better buy another regular speaker. 🤔. Thanks for the advice

Anyone looking for a sweet setup? Check out TCL r615/r617 with the TCL Alto 8i soundbar 👍👍👍👍
It's ok for a monitor with Prime video!
The optical cable is trash. But I do like this device.
this sound bar was great, trouble is the bass speakers only lasted 3 months, won't be buying roku again
it sounds alright but Boise gives big sound
i actually dont like my bose tv speaker and prefrerred roku soundbar
Just replace the remote with one with a 3.5mm jack. All roku remotes are swappable.
Really
Nothing for a wireless headphones means no good I'll go with the ultra
You could download the app on your cell phone or tablet as an alternative for private listening.
@@jondeforge8266 Thanks but I'll go with the ultra , still can't understand why it wouldn't come with that remote Thanks Again
Any lag with ultra?
@@JSyntax no
apple tv - AirPods = private listening
Sound modes are just eq settings lol. Marketing
i have bad hearing and the audio speech boost is essnetial
You are not to corner your stream bar !
Am I the only one who thought the TV sounds better?
Yikes.. Probably bad test
Depends on the tv. My “bigger better smart tv” sounds worse than my ancient 32” TCL.
Well our Samsung Smart TV is from 2016 and still looks great so this Roku Streambar definitely adds better audio.
