    The Roku Streambar combines the functions of a 4K Roku Media Streamer with a high-performance Soundbar. It offers an easy solution for watching your favorite streaming channels with upgraded sound quality. The soundbar portion includes 4 speakers with the option of adding a sub-woofer and two mid-range speakers wirelessly to the Streambar. It also supports ARC connection to simplify your wiring. I hope you enjoy the video and please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks so much. We upgraded our old 1080p tru motion LG tv to a LG B2 OLED a couple months ago. The guys at Best Buy said you can't get a decent sound bar for under $300- so we didn't get one. I went looking at Roku products to get another Roku stick for that old TV and found they made this product. I had been having trouble understanding what people are saying on my shows on our OLED and have had to put CC on to read while I watch. I think we will get this for the OLED and I'll use the 4k stick on the old one. I'm glad the audio will work with Firestick and our Blu-ray player too :) Thank you again :)

    Question: do you know how wireless the additional speakers truly are or how they connect together.

    Great Review Rick,
    I am confused about one thing. ARC and EARC (enhanced) are designed to return audio back to the Soundbar. So if you are watching content on your TV that is not available on Roku, you can hear it. (Such as a DVD player plugged into the TV or watching OTA channels etc.). But if all you are doing is listening and watching the built in Roku why do you need ARC or a Fiber Optic cable?
    I ask because I have a small WXGA Benq projector that does not have Fiber Optics or ARC and I am hoping the internal Roku electronics can feed audio directly to the built in amp in the Soundbar.

    You have me interested. Right now these are only $80. ! I'm pretty handy when it comes to this stuff. Right now I don't have a streaming system and I'm not sure if I need one. Pluto works fine but I have conciderable trouble with "Buffering" when I try to use Peacock and Crackle. Any sugestions?

    Does it works well with BT Headsets? What if you want to watch/listen during evenings and do not want to disturb others? Thank you.

    Rick - what if none of the HDMI ports on my older TV have ARC? Is there some adapter I can purchase to solve the problem of connecting to the Streambar? TIA -- Jay

      Chances are your TV has an Digital Optical Out port on the back. Use the included optical cable and connect the TV to the Streambar that way. You’ll be able to use the Streambar sound for other devices connected to the TV that way.

    Did the remote have an microphone jack on the side so you can listen with out the speaker on?

      If you have Bluetooth earbuds or headphones, connect them. I've connected my Sony WI-XB400 earbuds to my Streambar so I can listen without the speaker.

    I bought it a few weeks ago, but when I connect my phone to it and play music 🎶 it is just quiet. But when connected to my LG TV via HDMI the sound is there.

      No, these were designed to specifically fit the DJI controller. We have newer versions available as well for the newer DJI controllers.

    Do all TVs have ARC and EARC in their HDMI ports?

    • @Dronevalley
      @Dronevalley  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the post and unfortunately only newer TV's have an ARC port on the rear for connection. If you have multiple HDMI ports, check to see if one of them is labelled ARC. That port will really allow you to expand your audio options if you have one on the set. It makes connection so much easier than wrestling with a pile of cables.

    • @CorvetteCoonass
      @CorvetteCoonass ปีที่แล้ว

      In the event you don’t have an HDMI ARC port on your TV, chances are it will have a Digital Optical Audio output. Connect the TV to the Streambar via the included optical cable. It’s actually the reason they included it in the box, in case your TV doesn’t have HDMI ARC.

    The original setup for sound is HORRIBLE but can be modified.
    Eliminate the nasty thumping of bass by turning it to -10 to get adult level sound and sharp dialogue.

    I've had a Streambar for over a year, and I like the sound. However, since I installed it, one annoying thing happens...pretty much constantly. For example, when I change from a Roku app to over-the-air or one of my blu ray players, the sound is automatically muted. Every bloody time. I'm constantly unmuting the thing. P.S. I finally connected with someone at Roku and they offered a simple fix that never would have occurred to me: Switch out the old HDMI cable for a new one. It worked. Now there's only a single boot up mute, and no more after that.

      @@lancelotlink3907 Nope. I asked in dozens of places and...crickets. Roku service (an oxymoron) is useless. And yes, it gets hot. So I have it on a power strip that I turn off when it's not in use. Energy vampire.

    Can this just be used as a sound bar?

    • @Dronevalley
      @Dronevalley  ปีที่แล้ว

      Dan, Unfortunately it's tightly integrated with the Roku app and only plays sound from there. I wish they would have also provided a direct connection but you can only use the ARC HDMI for audio and it plays whatever sound is being sent to your TV. It makes for an easier integration for sound but does limit your options. I hope that helps. Rick
