    My dining room chairs are in need of a refresh. I want to paint them a lighter color and change out the fabric. Maybe even distress them using your technique. The signs turned out great!

    I like the idea of glazing the raw wood before painting so when distressing it looks old already.

    Thank you for the video. I have a question regarding the technique you used for the aged look. Why not use a rag to apply the white paint on the plank. This way, you can rub it in and not have to paint the whole plank solid and then rub it off with a wet rag. Have you tried this?

    • @CountryChicPaint
      @CountryChicPaint  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Anaf,
      Thanks for the tip; that could work as well! We usually recommend applying the paint with a brush just because it's a little less messy than having to wring out a rag full of paint. Everyone has different preferences on techniques though so it's definitely worth experimenting with :)

      You definitely can! You can purchase stencil machines such as the Cricut at craft stores, or you can often just purchase vinyl and use an exacto knife to cut your own by hand as well.

      Hi Scott,
      I'm sorry you didn't find the information you were looking for in here. We don't make our own stencils here but I'm sure you can find lots of helpful videos on TH-cam for how to use stencil cutters such as Cricuts, Silhouette Cameos, etc.
      Have a wonderful day!
