Thanks so much for your review in detail!
That tip about the framing with blue light is so useful! I had no idea!
Honestly? Neither did I until Sculpfun told me how to do it!
Thanks for the review!
Educational and informative, well done! 👍
Hi!! Have you tried it with Aluminum or Stainless steel pcs?? Does it look nice the engraving? Thank you.
Hi! Just love your videos! Was wondering, since you mentioned cutting acrylic, which laser would you recommend for cutting 1/4 in thick acrylic?
It depends! Do you want to cut clear or semi-translucent acrylics? If so, you’ll need a CO2 laser. If not, a diode is fine, but aim for 40W.
@@fiercekittenzyes, clear acrylics and mirrored. Want to make bag tags and blanks for making molds for resin casting
well explained...no rush. learned something as I am thinking of getting one. can you engrave on tumblers or contigo mugs?
It doesn't look like they have a rotary attachment, so you couldn't do a wrapped one. Maybe a smaller design, flat, with a bit of defocus?
Thanks for the video, did you try out white plastic? Because I have lots of white things, where I want to engrave the name on...
I did not, but it should be able to mark it. I don't know about cutting. Gotta be honest that 5W means you'd be pushing 100% to cut a lot of things outside of plywood.
Thanks for the detailed review. Wondering, do you need an additional air filter box to use in the home?
No, this one has an air filtration unit built inside. It came with an extra filter too!
@@fiercekittenz Thanks, I appreciate the response. Happy Holidays!
Hii, can this engrave stainless steel jewellery?
Is there a way to do a 4 inch cup/Tumbler? I believe it would only do a small graphic, but can it be done at all?
I don't believe so. I double checked the website and it doesn't seem they've offered any accessories for it.
Hi! Can this be used to engrave on silicone materials?
Yes!
have watched yours and many other videos as i learn more about the hardware;can you comment on its safety and usefulness for various kinds of food,if i want to surprise family with cool, creative engravings?
Do you mean engraving food items and ensuring they're safe to use afterward? Like cutting boards? You just need to wash the cutting boards. What you can't do is fill them with epoxy or resin and use them afterward unless it's a food safe resin. If you mean actually lasering designs to cookies and cakes - that's totally fine as-is. You don't need to worry about anything other than using too much heat and burning the food lol
@@fiercekittenz thanks for the input, appreciate it...👍
do you know if Lightburn is included with the machine?
I just got on the list to get the 10W
Nice! Let me know what you think?
Can it cut acrylic?
Theoretically it should be able to cut black acrylic, but 5W isn't really enough to cut with. You'd want the Pro version that's 10W. Diode lasers, in general, don't really work with acrylic.
Hi, will this 5w or 3w machine cut decal material? cut paper?
They'll cut paper, but I'm not sure about decal material.
Will it engrave aluminum?
Only if it’s powder coated or anodized.
@@fiercekittenz Thank you! I really like this machine.
Discount code did not work
I’ll reach out to them!
my wallet and my wife may hate me soon
Can’t help ya there! I’ve bought four Smart Dolls in the past 2 months LOL
there are better / with more features!
Oh, 2 layes, ?? try Offset fill!
Certainly there are likely other machines out there that have more features - but are they this portable? What do you suggest?
