In the last one, if the person wants to take the next step, they can personliaze some offering. Like the States, you can engrave a map on it for an address.
The price the items are selling for are not enough to cover the cost to make these items unless you can buy bulk materials for dirt cheap. $34 to $80 especially for the wedding book with all the custom paper is ridiculously low. And an item being in multiple carts shows interest but not sales.
I think a lot of the stuff on Etsy are either made in China or a large company in the states that buys in bulk to save on material costs and has large cnc or lasers and can batch out a ton of them. As far as the customization, they could still have a base model ready to go and when the order comes in have a dedicated laser or two and someone to whip out a quick program.
This was what I was coming down here to say. Typical Etsy race to the bottom. $16 for engraved apple watch bands... You can't even buy the watch bands themselves for that cheap (maybe for crap from aliexpress in huge bulk). Not to mention overhead. Yeah you don't have to be bottom of the barrel pricing, but if you're just starting out you also can't really be 2-3x for the same item that has millions of other listings. I started my Etsy and within a week I realized it isn't the right focus, at least for me. Not to mention as soon as you come up with something unique that gains ANY traction, within a week you're undercut to the moon and back ON YOUR OWN ITEM. I'm focusing on doing freebies for friends and family and pushing them (gently) to keep me in mind and mention me to their employers etc. I'm also focusing on finding local clients both going to local businesses and posting on local social media. A few good local partnerships can keep you plenty busy, especially if you're a solo side hustle.
Hey bro, if I wanted to laser cut gold and silver sheets and make jewelry, what machine would you recommend to start. Assuming a 5k budget. I can't decide if I should just start with a beginner machine to engrave only and then work my way up to a machine that can cut metals. What you recommend?
If I were doing it I would start with a laser that can engrave and if that works out well look into one that can cut well. You can probably get a nice 40 or 50w fiber laser shipped for that 5k budget range. That will do everything you need for engraving jewelry. I got one from OMG Laser recently. Beautiful machine.
Fab video , thanks ; i am a newbie and this video was truly an eye opener and very informative ; do you have any videos on using the laser pecker 4 which seems to be getting a lot of decent reviews ? Many thanks again
I have a question what is the best laser cutter that also cuts in color that is reasonably priced. This is my first machine and I’m not sure what to get. I’m completely baffled.
I think one of the important thing first is to have great designs and a great laser machine which can give you excellent Engraving results. It might be investment heavy but In the end it will generate great results where you can stand out
at 1:07 you say or buy one off ???? I listened 4 times but still could not tell what you said and don't see a site name on the video section for this. Can you please let me know the name of the site?
my biggest tip for a true side hustle, just sell to friends and family and have them spread the word. it helps pay for the laser and eventually even makes you extra money. you’re not making a ton of money or anything like that but you’re also still just doing it as a hobby.
Even more helpful than just price examples would be some cut times with a couple of machines that you are familiar with. A hundred bucks isn't much money if the item takes 8 hours to run.
Howdy Justin, i have brought some patterns from you in the passed, it had been a while. anyway i am looking into a laser engravers, is there anyway that you would talk to me on the phone or maybe text a bit. i keep learning things about people doing TH-cam, they like everybody else we all need to make a living or at least make some extra money. like can you cut and engrave on Chrome tan or only on veg tan? i want to buy a very small one and they cost a thousand or more just for the small ones. i have brought many tools and patterns that i knew would be the answer and found out that they weren't the answer. i sure you know what i am talking about. i don't want to spend alot of money and never really use it. thanks either way. rob
@justinlaser till you can't sell a thing because the products are everywhere you go. Lasering was a much better industry 5 years ago when I started out. Nowadays everyone copies everyone. The skills and creativity have disappeared
@michaelfinney5317 how is this sharing creativity? This is just a guy making a video for money, his interests are getting views.... he's not going to care about selling laser products..... you get people all the time to lazy to research so they ask what sells..... who in their right mind would tell competitors their best selling products... that isn't business
@@adambundy2639 1. Yes I am interested in getting views. 2. Yes, I sell laser products and have been for the past 6 years of my life. These 2 things are not incompatible.
Brah says be unique, then shows a bunch of etsy listings, not very unique if you are just copying another idea on etsy, to be lost in the crowd of etsy sellers
Open a store with products nobody wants and you wont be in business long. Apply that logic to literally any real business (laptops, burgers, phones, t-shirts, etc) and it makes no sense.
Just because some product is in a cart, in no way means it is sold or selling. Many people save items in the cart whether they actually plan on buying it.
I would recommend Sculpfun😉
LOL! I have recommended the S9 before.
Thank you for all the research you’ve done on this! Lots of great info.
Thanks Joy!!
Very Helpful Information. I am immensely Grateful Bro.
You are incredible. Thank you so much for taking the time to help others trying to build up.
Thanks for the kind words appreciate it!

Thank You for the amazing video, I'm gonna start making this kind of work here in Brazil!
Good luck!
Amazing tips. Thank you from someone who is soon to embark on the laser journey. 🙂

Great ideas, thank you!
what is the website that you would buy the black granite tile?
Ive been looking to try www.lasersketch.com/granite/lasergrade-super-black-granite-laser-tiles/ recently.
AP Lazer store carries black granite pet markers that range from simple tiles to upright monuments. Look them up

Great video. Thank you. Melton Memorials are sandblasted. Can you recommend a laser engraver that is suitable for engraving stone like that?
Thanks for your insights
So you would recommend Etsy as a place where to sell stuff ?
Good video and well thought out topic.

Hello what do you think about the laser pecker 4
Havent tried it but if you want small and portable seems like an affordable starting point.

17:34 speaking about copyright...
what AI website was that please?
I use Midjourney however there are other free ones available now.
budy my name also justin and i have a co2 laser
Well there were great ideas untill you share them with your competitors 🤣
Haha yeah but every product is going to have competition. If it doesnt you either hit a goldmine or a massive waste of time.
@justinlaser till you can't sell a thing because the products are everywhere you go. Lasering was a much better industry 5 years ago when I started out. Nowadays everyone copies everyone. The skills and creativity have disappeared
Pretty sure everyone didn’t rush out to do these ideas at the same time. People that share creativity like this always helps the community as a whole.

Why do the maps get exponentially more expensive as they get bigger? Lasering for an extra 5 minutes isnt worth that much money
Winston was only 7 years old... so sad...
OK let's do a quick calculation with you
1999 to 2016
You may have to take your socks off to get up to 17 😂😂😂
@imeach2897 total L for not seeing the numbers correctly. I am asian, it isn't the lack of math skills, it is the lack of paying attention.
How is that person selling Dumbo watch straps getting away with it? Too small for Disney to notice or can you purchase a licence to on a small scale?
I didnt catch the design. Disney is very litigious with their IP so if they ever notice Im sure its coming down.
@@justinlaser thank you, at least we can do original black and white mickey mouse soon with the copyright expiring.

"Products that people aren't currently offering". Well they will be now.
Everything on ETSY is always on sale. So basically nothing is.
Just because some product is in a cart, in no way means it is sold or selling. Many people save items in the cart whether they actually plan on buying it.
It's at least an indication that people are searching for the item and that's at least something
