By the way, I too resurrected a dead 33 from grave as a hobby (in my channel), now it's my daily driver along with my special occasion 24V 164. Love to see your content here. Keep them coming!

Thank you very much, I'm in a bit of a struggle.. personal issues and other stuff, do not know if I can go on with this

Fun fact is both issues are independent, but their occuring at the same time is nothing exceptional. It is good to check things by our own, since You can find some other problems, like missing some dashboard screws for example(in my 16V), or just literally broken speedometer wire somewhere behind the clusters(in my previous 8V).
Nice idea to make YT clip! Best wishes from Poland.

Hello, yes with this older cars, normally issues are very often "simple things" broken wires, bad contacts, etc. Doing this checks and simple repairs many times solves the problems and in the process you learn a bit more about your car

Thanks for this great video. I think its an issue on many 33's unfortunatly. When i had a 33 (i had 3 in my lifetime) 2 of them had issue that rev didn't do anything. In both cases because of poor connections on the plugs. With this video i would be able to repair myself i guess.

Great video! Guess what - my speedometer (33 SW 1.7 8V) is not working, also the daily kilometer counter doesnt rotate. Can I measure resistance on that plug and understand if it is the sensor fault or the instrument's fault?

Hello. You can yes. But you must also have the cluster repaired

@@alfaromeonoproblem Thanks for replying! I have bought a second hand cluster from a car with the same engine. Will swap it this winter to see if it is working. If I am not lucky, will look for a shop to repair the cluster

You can, but some get the signal from the coil others from other system. Sensor I believe. But I think they work the same

I have the speedo needle running but the odometer not working, what could be the problem? I subscribed today. I had this connection corrected already (same type waterproof connectors, but 2 wire) and the speedo connectors to the instrument cluster cleaned with electrical contact cleaner to remove any oxidation.

Hello. Welcome to the channel! If you have Speedo but not odometer, it's an internal problem.

As you may seen on my abs esp vídeo, the speed info is gathered in the abs unit and sended to the speedometer.
Do a diagnosis and while driving see the speed info on diagnosis. When it fails on the speedometer check if it still reads on the abs unit. If so, the problem is on the speedometer, wiring or plugs.
If it stops reading on the abs too, is the abs unit the problems. Or again, it's wiring and plugs

Hey, I've got a problem on my Alfa 159 2.4 ti.
    The car won't start,when I push Start - it just clicks,nothing happens.
I'm not losing power, I've got a new car battery, starter and alternator are fine.
Egr deleted, swirl flaps deleted, dpf removed, decat.
I'm guessing it's a cable, because when I replaced the car battery - it started. The thing is - I measured the battery and it was fine - 98% Health and Charge, at about 720A CCA.
Or maybe it's the ECU ?
    Thanks in advance.

    • @alfaromeonoproblem

Hello. You can do a very simple check. On the starter itself Touch the solenoid pin to see if it turns. If it does, no problems with the harness so far. Do, the signal to the starter can be interrupted for some reason. You can check it using electrical diagrams to see where is the relay and the terminal wires. See on the relay terminals of you can send direct signal.
Also, check on diagnosis if the key is recognised.
