Hi! I see you are using an artic liquid frezzer II in that build, did you have any issues? In their website says is not compatible, I’m planning on buying asus z790-f and artic liquid frezzer II 360 argb but I’m not sure they are compatible.
Hi Saul Vichique, welcome to my channel. Nope I have no issues fixing the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 to this board, I do know out there, there are people who face this issue. I am using Rev03 which does not have an issue. the 1700 bracket is obtain separately. If you do encounter this issue, you can always approach Arctic and they will ship you with the correct brackets. www.reddit.com/r/arcticcooling/comments/18eap5v/rog_strix_z790f_gaming_incompatible_with_freezer/ (this is for Z790 though)

I recently purchased the same motherboard, and while I have no performance issues, the RGB logo at the top doesn’t seem to be securely attached, causing the RGB lights to bleed through the gaps. Is there a way to fix this?
Hi Ethengraal L, welcome to my channel. back then I recall not having the issues like what you are facing, the top rear I/O is firmly mounted. I would advise you to submit a case with Asus or to approach your seller for a 1:1 exchange if it's new.. if not and under warranty, have it repair.

Hi videosallnight, welcome to my channel. This is something which I am not aware of. Do pardon me and I don't even know there is a V2 out of this motherboard.
Will this motherboard support a 1200 socket cpu water block / cpu cooler?
I currently have a 11900k with a EKWB Velocity² 1200 version.

Hey there , i just bought it , i nee to put on it i9 14900 k , will i need to update my bios? Or it should be ok? And how will i update it ? The bios
Hi Ameer Joe, welcome to my channel, this board by default, you will be able to boot with a 14th Gen processor, but I will still advice you to update the bios, which you can follow the insttruction on page 47 dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1700/ROG_STRIX_Z790-F_GAMING_WIFI_II/E22962_ROG_STRIX_Z790-F_GAMING_WIFI_II_EM_V3_WEB.pdf?model=ROG%20STRIX%20Z790-F%20GAMING%20WIFI%20II
The prior version had so many bad reviews. I like the specs on this motherboard, but not sure if I should buy it.
Hi Rafa RS, welcome back. It greatly depends what you are after? when you have mentioned bad review, at which area did they talk about and does it impact you? Then weight on it. If it does not impact you, then grab the board. if it does, move on and look for another board.
@@KleoYan Well, people leave bad reviews because of multiple issues. Maybe some of the issues won't be a problem for others, but issues are issues regardless.

Hi mevl, welcome to my channel and thank you for your feedback. All the best with your build too. 😉
Great video as always! Skimmed through a bit, looks well built overall. Only complaint I might have is no pcie gen 5 m.2 slot considering the price the board will probably come out at, I don't personally care for gen 5 nvme's but I know a few people that do and once direct storage is implemented into more games gen 5 ssd's will actually make sense.... well besides their insane temps under load and the cooling they need lol.
Also 400+ dollar board and no post code...... : (
Hi ya Ion, welcome back. yup this is the part where I wonder too. it's a mid tier mobo, should have the Gen 5 m.2. thanks for your valuable feedback.
Apparently adding Gen 5 M.2 costs $70 (price difference between the E which has it and the F which does not)? I know Gen5 switches aren't cheap but still...
@@sabishiihitoadding gen 5 switches is like an extra dollar over gen 4 at most, at least for nvme (more for x16 slots of course). Asus just wants people to buy their more expensive boards by making their lower tier boards worse specs wise.
@@sabishiihito yup you are right. If I am in such position, I would go with the E model. It also greatly depends on individual budget. Thank you for your feedback and to share your thoughts with us, greatly appreciated it.
Was looking at this board, seen your comment about the pcie gen 5 m.2 . At $238 now is it worth getting still ? Is it a must it should have a gen 5 m.2 ..I'm new to all this lol
Hi, can i install single-sided Nvme SSD in m.2.1 slot (close to CPU) or should i install it in one of bottom slots ?
Hi Roko Prč, welcome to my channel I would advise you to remove off the protective plastic from the 1st m.2 slot (near CPU) and to place your m.2, as the first slot is controlled by your CPU and not Chipset. It will be faster this way.
Hey kleo, so between this asus mb, asrock tachi lite & nova which would pick, for mostly gaming and light work for spread sheet n pp
hi Adrian Kuo, welcome to my channel. all you have mentioned works fine. it's a matter of features and budget. If you do not need thunderbolt ports, I will go for the new Riptide or Nova. but nova is of a better build.
@@KleoYan I'm set on Asrock, but now contemplating whether to 14700k or 7800x3d. Any thoughts?
@@Asck96welcome back. Choosing between them is kind of headace, if you do play highend games, I advise you to get 7800X3D with a X670E board. These will serve you longer and with better gaming performance. Do note AM5 platform motherboards are not cheap, also ram training can be very fustrating.. longer wait time to boot into windows.
@@KleoYan ya initially was thinking to go with 7800x3d coz the performance seems to even outmatch 14900k, but worried abt the stability. Hence started leaning toward intel. really headache lol
@@Asck96 Intel is much cheaper on the motherboard side. Personally I am using only a 14700K with an ASRock Z790 Sonic PG, mainly work and leisure. It serves me will. If you intend to go with 14th Gen, just be prepared that it's the end of line. You can't upgrade to the next gen, which I am prepared, cos when I upgrade, it will be both processor and motherboard, which will be like 4 to 5 years down the road.
Before this, I was using a 7950X but I can't stand the boot time (Ram Training) even till now.. you got to wait like 1minute before it boots to windows and idle wattage is around 35watts to 40watts.
The benefit of intel are
1) It boots within seconds
2) Idle time, be it just watching youtube, netflix and such, it's always hovering between 7watts to 15watts max. only time when I get to see 243watts is when I compile stuff. (Video or such)
3) The boards are rather cheap.
4) I go with 14700K as it's of most value. not fastest but will do
5) easy undervolting, no need so much hassle like AM5. got to do PBO2, optimizer curve and such.
by the way, this is how my current PC looks like.. it's a bit childish but still my childhood game character www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/19f113a/sonic_the_hedge_hog/
Quality review vid as usual, thanks. 👍Great layout on the board, but at his price point you should have Gen5 M.2 as previously stated. ASRock steel legend is a similar spec to this and has Gen5 also its approx £100 less. 9/10 layout. 8/10 spec. 6/10 price.
Hi Wayne, welcome back. I totally agree with your ratings 😂as I find that this board should have a Gen 5 at least. To be honest the price is abit steep.
I have this motherboard too. But I encountered a problem of not booting up, the logo rog page came up and I couldn't press anything. I want to know if you are the same. Thank you in advance.
Hi Flooke Kmth, welcome to my channel. Nope I have not encountered what you have mentioned. Maybe try these methods 1) clear cmos 2) slot only one ram stick 3) use the bios flashback to update your motherboard bios.

Hi 4SecShark Mr, welcome to my channel. Thank you for your valuable feedback.
I rather 4gen ssd controlled by the cpu, than ssd gen5 and gpu running at 8x. Plus all gen 5 ssd are worse performers than 4gen 900 pro.
Hi Rafa RS, welcome to my channel. For most user or gamer, a Gen 4 m.2 is more than enough. But for someone who does 3D compilation and such gen 5 save more time. As for the 900 pro. I believe you are referring to the Samsung 990 pro. Yes I don’t deny it’s fast but not that great endurance compared to the Seagate Firecuda 520 or 530. Even the WD SN850X has better consistent read and write speed.
