Another fantastic walkthrough! Now I’m stuck between the Asrock Nova 870e and this board lol. I still think the Nova offers a lot more for the money, but very hard to source in Australia at the moment.

How about the pci-e lanes suddivision mentioned in the manual? Basically can you briefly describe the behaviour? Not fully clear from the manual. If you populate some M2 the main GPU slot Will run x8!

If you are dealing with lots of file transfer or doing heavy workload as in compression, compliation, yes the X870E-E or this B850-E is cater for that. but if you are just gaming and light content creation. you dont need to break your pocket. the B850-F will cater your needs.

I'm looking for a motherboard for 9800x3d that doesn't need to update the bios before, so I think ROG STRIX B650E-E would work.. what memory to put.. 6000/7200/8000 I do a bit of everything
Hi stephanie moreau, welcome to my channel. For the B650E-E , you will need to update the bios. as it does not have the firmware for 9000 series. as for rams, I will grab a 32G kit CL30 6000 will do and on Expo Profile not XMP.

Hi Karim Mina, it greatly depends on your usage and the price point. If you are only into gaming and do not do intensive content creation or 3D compilation and usage on high transfer speed rate. I will choose the B850-F. As the top slot is of x16 full lane without sharing lane. If you do need high transfer speed rate, then the x870E-E will be better. As for b850-E., it sits between the X870E-E and the B850-F. So by the end of the day you have to question yourself which is appropriate for your usage. I will suggest to look into these factors 1) what do yo u use on the board. 2) what’s your budget. This will allow yourself to spend wisely. Other than that, some choose over aesthetic over usage.
I will have a 9800x3d and 3080 (will upgrade to 5080 super or Ti when it releases) with 32GB 6000MT/s ram and one Gen5 and one Gen3 SSD, I am only going to be using my pc for gaming and light work, and overlocking my cpu and ram to manufacturer’s recommendations. I was planning to get the X870E-E before they released the B850, then I saw the 200 dollars difference and wondered wether the X870 is worth it over the B850-E
@@karimmina4814 I see, if you into extreme overclocking, then X870-E will fit your bill, but if you just doing slight overclocking and mainly on gaming and lightwork. then B860-E or B860-F
It's unfortunate ASUS has decided they won't honour their warranty for so many people. They told one guy his warranty was void because he used an AMD video card. They actually told him their boards are only compatable with Nvidia video cards. I have stopped buying their boards because i don't want our customers to go through that hassle

I tested asrock nova wifi and gigabyte x870e elite wife7... gl with them so many issue... asrock: nightmare is high cpu temp in idle then other mobos and no one mention about this, must be something releted to backplate, but I have in idle +42C...(on other 3mobos its under 32C) and other think I hated there is no fix with Etherned 30mb bug speed.. nop asrock still didnt fix it... what about gigabyte, best bios I used, just love it but bro.. error 08 perma display code is disgusting.. wifi disconnecting... pcb hot dead... fun part Im on b650e-e asus maybe two weeks, and I see no problem after bios update... lol maybe Im just lucky IDK but atm I do not regreed to have spend 250 on asus then any other of previous mobos I tested that cost me 500euro +

Also for backplate.. if your case have good case airflow, you should not worry about the temp. am having good temps on average max 53°C on idle, which to me is a norm in my country.

My b650e-e came with dead memory slots. So I'm thinking of going ASRock Or Gigabyte. Just beware that the quality of Asus boards are suspect at best.
