Back when men went to work, women stayed home, being gay meant happy, a tank o GREAT gas cost a couple bucks, everything was still american, there were great blue collar jobs, everyone could afford to live well if they tried...Great time.

Just imagine HOW MANY gto victims were ditched by this bad lad.
And the "Trip thru the gears" was so visually & AUDIBLY rewarding.
    Shift on, bro...
    Brian.

The 1965 Galaxie appeared somewhat lighter than the 1963-64.

My favorite Ford ever made is a 1965 R-Code 427 Galaxie. Well it's between that and a 66-67 R-Code 427 Fairlane. I love the 63 1/2-64 Galaxie 427's too but the 65-67's are superior cars overall because the improved 427 Side Oiler design replaced the older 427 Top Oiler design for the 1965 model year and the new and improved 427 Medium Riser replaced the old 427 Low Riser midway through the 1965 model year. Plus 65 was the first year of the LTD...the most luxurious Ford ever made up to that point. There were even a few 427 LTD's and a 4 door 427 Galaxie built in 65. I'm a Mopar guy first but that is an awesome ride you've got there

you have my dream car, was wondering if your 427 is side - oiler block. Reason being: I have two 427 blocks, a C5AE-A ,and a C5AE-A cast# ,the first# is a top-oiler,and the 'G' is a side-oiler block. Since A is Jan. and G is July, I was wondering if the production 65'sAs

Looks like power steering has been added. Not available on 427 cars from the factory.

Beautiful bad ass Ford! One thing though. Loose those god awful glasspacks. A nice set of Dynomax super turbos would make that car sound like the beast it is. Glasspacks make it sound like some wacked out east LA low rider.

I disagree. That car sure sounds badass with those glasspacks

Poor Mans GTO, minus the 427 of course.

You haven't met a dog like a F100 360. 9mpg up hill down hill head wind tail wind, Gutless. The 352 ran better had more compression.

Had one too in my truck. Boat anchor!!! Replaced it with a 428 Cobra Jet from my friends Mustang after he totaled it. Paid him $385 for it and it included the shaker hood scoop and the bell housing. Too bad I left that shaker scoop in my parents barn and never went back after it.

The 360 was me er meant to be a performance engine. It was designed to have low end torque and a workhorse and it did that very well
