Unpopular opinion but i just loved all 3 coma seasons. It was a blast to see how well all the characters fit into diferent roles and settings. I would have killed to see the cast in a high fantasy world

For me, it goes Dreamland, the space one, and Danger Island. Dreamland has Archer subconsciously dealing with Woodhouse’s death, being a generally nicer person, everyone in the cast has a chance to shine, Trexler gets to come back, and the setting works great. The space one can be read as Archer subconsciously resisting his responsibilities and waking up, plus some nice sci-fi concepts. Danger Island is the weakest for me since it just feels like an action scenario that Archer dreamed up that doesn’t serve as a metaphor for an issue he’s dealing with. Like the biggest “arc” in that one is his and Pam’s relationship, but I can’t really call it the focus. But yeah, I can see why people don’t really like the last two, but Dreamland is one of my favorites. Probably up there with S3 and Vice.

I mean he certainly didn’t get into the PI business for the acclaim and money and considering the serious stuff this archer went through during the war it 100% turned him into a better person than regular Archer far more selfless

Lana's death scene was one of the saddest/most beatiful/most hilarious moments in the whole series. It came at the end of an OK season but it was a masterpiece in my eyes

Archer was a WwII vet with PTSD in this season which is why he had flashbacks of fighting Nazis.

Dreamland was the best coma season. Honestly I wish they just did one coma season and went back to the main plot. The others were still pretty decent though.
Yeah I also loved dreamland, but the space one honestly had some good moments

Dreamland was a straight up amazing season. Really creative way to shake up character dynamics, atmosphere, yet keeping the comedy. I thoroughly enjoyed the vibe. And the writing was still really great, it only started to get bad in Danger Island.
Then got better in 1999.

Honestly it was a brilliant way to allow things to stray hardcore from the plot line (people dying and whatnot) while still making it recoverable since none of it was happening in "real life".

I loved that they brought Len Trexler back, he was one of my favourite characters

I think the Figgis agency had real potential. The fight scene in the hotel was one of the best. Cyril trying to act all suave and Ray trying to be straight.

I know many aren’t a fan of the coma seasons of Archer but I thought they were good. It gave everyone different but good roles. I love how in two of the three, it had Archer and Pam working together. These two are best friends and I love the progression of their character. It went from Archer hitting Pam with her iconic dolphin hand puppet to him offering to go to her abusive sister’s wedding when she was crying. Even though Archer is a better person here with his background being different to the original Archer, he is still the same character we all know and love. One of the reasons I love this show is because of the development in Archer’s character. He had moments and even some episodes where he was kind and thoughtful and even some episodes where you just feel sorry for the guy. Archer is now over and while I do hope that they’ll revive the show or give it a movie or a spinoff, I’ll always love this show.
Pam is 100% the best character in the show
Pam has the oddest changes in those coma episodes. First a middle aged man, then a muscular hulk of a woman and then a rock alien lol.
