( GRE exam cost - around 18k IELTS - 15k) Next step start shortlisting universities and apply ( applications fees per uni - 50$to 100$) Next wait for University decision. Once you receive university decision. Submit your financial documents and wait to receive i20( which includes whole one year university expenses and sevis id ) . Next step - start visa procedures, 1) Fill DS-160 form and pay sevis fee 2) Book your Visa interview slots 3) Attend the Visa interview. Still there are many other procedures in between this. Once you start your application you will understand .

The condition is that we need to have some on-campus job. It is not necessary that our work has to be connected to our studies. Now, CPT /OPT are for off-campus jobs. CPT is during the course and OPT is after graduation. CPT and OPT both have to be related to our field.
Application process for the admission is not simple. We have to start the preparation atleast 1 and half year before the intake we are planning to join. The requirements vary based on the universities and courses. Most of them need language proficiency, 3 letter of recommendation (our teachers have to submit by themselves for us ) , Resume, transcript, statement of purpose. F1 Visa is a game of luck... We do have good number of rejection rates for multiple reasons. If you get reject please don't feel bad. Please keep trying. Please have all the documents that can support for whatever they are asking you.
Part time can be done only On Campus. CPT can be done off campus. But it depend on the department. CPT should be related to your study and it can be done during summer breaks.
Also OPT is 3 year after course completion. Within 3 years you have to get H1B which is given once a year thru a lottery system. 85k H1B are given per year. Almost 250k people apply. You can get upto 3 chances for H1B. If your H1B petition is not picked within 3 years, get ready to pack your bags and leave the country.
