Was so lucky to be at this concert...my one and only Queen gig with Freddie. It rained heavy early in the day but by the end of the gig I was bone dry! Can't believe it will be 35 years ago next year but a special memory for me as I was with my brother that day who is no longer here. Special memories!
... and it was so expensive!!! Like 15 pounds or something! Well, at least there was Status Quo as opening act! ^^+gg
@Krissy R 1000 bucks? only if it included the flight from the usa to britain and staying in a hotels for days ^^+gg
@@JohnHazelwood58 15 pounds? 15 pounds is NOTHING
No one reacts to Freddie and Queen the way you do. Just love the way you break it all down, and really appreciate everything that they are doing, singing. You are still the best reactor on the tube!!
I want a time machine right now!!! I want to go to Wembley in 1986 and feast my eyes and ears and heart with Queen's live concerts!!!
I want some Freddie's potion to make my heart sing and my blood flow...So perfect!!!
Goosebumps all over 💖💖💖🥰🥰😍🤩👑👑👑

I LOVE your queen reactions! The love is contagious. Thank you. Freddie is The Man
Thank you too!
I am so glad that you are starting to listen to some of the songs from this legendary concert. They do about 28 or 29 songs that night. There is also a guitar solo that BRIAN does for about 10 minutes of fantastic guitaring from the G O A T BRIAN MAY. This concert is nonstop action from start to finish and its almost 2 hrs long. Great reaction HAP. I just love to watch you react to QUEEN. Enjoy these songs from this concert. Take care. Your girl QUEEN BEE.
Just love it .....words are inadequate......🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶 Sheer Heart Attack is my personal fav album....LOUD 😂😂😂😂...on repeat 😂😂😂😂
there is no supposed to sound with Queen, they change it every performance, its LIVE. Thats why is so interesting and mesmorising. No one could touch them on a live performance.
You're right, the high notes of "In the lap of the gods... revisited" brought him at the edge of his voice. At least in the mid 80's he had problems with those high notes. But we know, two years later, without further touring, his high notes came back brightly on the Barcelona album.
My very favorite version of this song is "In the Lap of the Gods... revisited" in the studio version from 1974. So many falsetto notes, so vulnerable, he was so much inside of the pain he was singing about. Whenever I listen to that version I can't help but hit the replay button more than once.
How come he went the a4 high notes here then? Pretty sure magic tour had Freddie's vocal range much higher than the 70s, he actually attempted a bb5 the same note Roger hit in bohrap.
I don't think it's the touring, it was the smoking.
- When you listen to his gigs 79-82 his voice was excellent and he hit high notes left and right, although he was touring heavily every year. I just listened to "Love of My Life" from Montreal 1981 and his voice was similar to his best studio versions from the early 70s in that performance.
- Then 1984, right after the first time Queen didn't tour for more than a year (1983) his voice was suddenly lower.
I think he started smoking and that got to his voice. He stopped smoking after his AIDS diagnosis and his voice suddenly started to sound "younger", lighter again on the following albums. Too bad we couldn't hear him live again. :-(
He did not have problem with those high notes, he sang this version far better then in the 70's. Freddie sang much higher in the 80's, then in the 70's, his voice just gained a lot of depth and power that makes it sound lower.
@@queenremix1353 You are correct, and he nailed that Bb5 note as well. Those are two B4 notes and incredibly powerful A4 notes, you don't see other tenors hitting those notes with that power. He is doing it in full chest voice without head voice that is very difficult. A lot of tenors cannot do that. In fact this is amazing singing. I have just made video comparing Freddie to Steve Perry, and I used this exact example, because these are amazing A4 notes. Freddie could barely hit a A4 note in the middle 70's (except for 1979 that is when his voice started to heavily improve).Other singers use head or mixed voice to sing A4 notes. Listen to Steve Perry's A4 notes, he has no power on those notes, because he uses head voice:
th-cam.com/video/fngh_6YIl4w/w-d-xo.html
Of course funny enough this is actually one of those rare examples where Freddie did use head voice on the two opening B4 notes.
@@ZENOBlAmusic I think it‘s much about the difference between studio and live vocals. He rarely replicated studio falsetto notes live. He tended to belt them, what strained his vocal chords a lot. So he handeled it economically it seems, and he didn‘t go that high too often.
And touring generally strained his voice, I don‘t think that‘s worth much of a debate. The famous hot lemon/honey drink helped him not to get hoarse.
And yes his 80‘s voice is great and powerful. He himself thought his voice got deeper because he started smoking as a habit in the end of the 70‘s (with over 30 years).
I play my wembley dvd of both nights of this concert all the time, each night has its highs and little lows, truly the best entertainer in the whole world and its so sad we all still miss him so but then we honor him as well!
Man your just the best to react to the best band ever specialy to our beloved Freddie.
Think of the amazing physical condition he was in at the time to be able to run and climb stairs and sing as beautifully has he did Never seemed to be out of breath.
This was awesome! Great reaction, HAP! I love 70s era Queen so it was fantastic to see them revisit these classics a decade later. So fun to sing along, too! Their touring life ended on such a high. I don't know how Freddie kept up the intensity for an entire concert like this. Absolutely amazing. All the guys! You can tell how much work they put into the quality of these shows.
Glad you enjoyed it
Your expressions at 9:14 said it all..Yes, he'so missed..I wish I could have been there too, it must have felt like in the lap of the Gods..
My tear came down as well... 😢💔❤️
That was just a partial bit of Tear it Up. You should listen to the whole song maybe Hap- you missed the best verse!🤣 I enjoy you so very much! I appreciate the smiles you bring!!💛💛
On̈e God 4 ever and ever
Freddie’s voice has such raw power in this song!
This whole concert is amazing I’ve watched it a million times lol
Love your reactions! Yes, Freddie's voice is weak for the Saturday night, he had a cold coz of the rain, But he gives a great performance nonetheless, Even if his voice is not 100 percent, he makes up for it by his showmanship like no other.
All three of the songs are my favorite.
Always singing every note as if it may be his last
What a tight band of brothers
Yes this is from the saturday concert and Freddies voices was a little bit tired but Staurday is still the better concert if you ask me. Before Tear It Up starts Brian is playing the riff of Liar
Who goes upstairs singing like that ???????
WOWZERS!!! I love this medley! I love Wembley. I love Queen. Cor Blimey I love Freddie!!! Hap - You’re tearing it up!! 👍 The medley transitions into ITS A KIND OF MAGIC. Magnificent!! Great reaction as always! 😁 💛
Rock on!
oh, Yes! "It's A Kind Of Magic" here is........MAGIC!
LOVE THIS !CAN WATCH THIS OVER AND OVER FOR HOURS,REALLY!! QUEEN NEVER EVER DISAPPOINT! AWESOME!! THANK YOU , HAP3 REACTOR EXTRODINAIRE! 💯🥰❤🎶🙏
Three of my favorite 😊 thank you!
Thanks hap for this it is second night at wembley and the performance is flawless as usual we will never see anything like this again unfortunately as freddie can never be replaced thanks again stay safe ❤
I agree with you that these were 4 equal in talent and contribution of the band members, but it is worth listening to the Queen + Paul Rogers album "The cosmos rocks" and it immediately becomes clear how amazing Freddie was and how he sang. Despite the fact that Paul Rogers is not the last vocalist of all time. He is very strong. But Freddie is a god! And Freddie is a great showman, which certainly attracted Queen.
Both Wembleys are excellent! Hard to believe Queen' s very last concert at Knebworth was not filmed! But then again, as there was no official "Final" concert, Queen will never end for me.
Fast Fingers Freddie using all 10 fingers is a sight to behold! Wembley is an Amazing Concert Hap. Great to see you reacting to more and more of it. I Love the way you get emotional and think it’s a beautiful and attractive thing. It shows what a big and beloved heart you have for someone you admire. I know the feeling....it hits me the same way. You should react to Another One Bites the Dust from this concert. It’s definitely a different take from the studio/live version original video. Freddie has so much fun with the crowd and as usual changes it up and improvises to make it completely different. You will love it! Keep being my favorite reactor friend. Happy Holidays Hap♥️♥️♥️
No one can match Freddie he had it all big voice big persona and best front man of all time.
GOAT !!!!! Thank you ....
No problem
His voice sounds great to me....
Only 1 kind of magic. Only 1 man who could have created it. Freddie was and still IS The King!!!
Look at the speed of his fingers on the piano, playing intro to 7 Seas of Rhye - they are so fast, they are almost a blur! There seems to be no end to Freddie's talent
Thank you!!! I’ve been asking for this for months!!! Freddie’s voice was amazing at this concert.
Please remember to do the Sat 7/12 version of Tie Your mother Down.
No problem! I know, I have also reacted to your suggestions before too but as you recall I have been on this self imposed musical journey with Queen for a while. Wembley was something I felt needed time. Since they have so many great songs already recorded. I can appreciate this live performance a whole lot more. Thank you for your patience.
@@HAP3SPEAKZ I understand. Wembley is such a treasure. Freddie and Mary were the only 2 who knew that the Magic Tour in ‘86 would be his last tour with the band. He poured his heart and soul into it, especially the performances at Wembley, in his home town and the place where history was made at Live Aid. The Lap of the Gods medley gave me chills.
With Freddie instead of screaming all the time he pronounced his words, amazing 👍
Freddie´s voice is a little bit hoarse, I think, but he sounds on pitch.
Soooo beautiful.. Queen as four, on this concert, they are all on point! I wish I was there so bad!!! 🙌😱❣️🙏🏻🎵 I'm so satisfied watching your reactions, Hap!Thank you for doing what you do at your best.
So good!
Długo jeszcze bardzo Długo nie będzie takiego artysty jak Freedy 😢
I've watched this concert so many times ❤❤❤❤ its like getting your favourite film out and watching it for the 100th time 🥰🥰🥰 chill out one day and watch the whole thing 😁x
THANK YOU for the early Christmas present, Hap!! It's been a tough week: one of my brothers passed-away suddenly... and you/Freddie made me actually grin! 0_0 (That's because "visiting" you here on YT is like visiting Family.)
BTW, You can also always tell Saturday from Friday at-a-glance, because of the difference in the video-shooting: Friday's footage "focuses on" (ha) close-ups of Freddie/the band mostly; Saturday's footage is much more panoramic, with a LOT of footage of the audience and aerial views of the stadium.
i`m so sorry to hear that!! so glad this cheered you up! Best wishes are with you... always. RIP.
Love that you're on this long and wonderful Queen journey :)
Appreciate you for sticking by them and enjoying them all. Even through the ups & downs. 👑
Brother
I’ve been sending you my brainwaves, my choice exactly this reaction - the most powerful opening of the the most powerful concert indeed. ThNk you do much!!!
The lyrics of the song ....”driving me ga ga”....and goes from tear it up...into a kind of magic
Aw, damn. I love these. Time to strap in.
Fix! You’re my #1 Queen reactor! 😀
Thank you 👑
Goddammit, he looks so exhausted yet bangs those notes out with ease.
I love Queen,i love Freddie Mercury, just dam...my father saw them in Buenos Aires Argentina in Vélez Sarsfield Stadium in 1981
This concert should be made for a movie for prosperity for all performers for the future
Its his LAST SHOW!!! He was dead 5 years later!!! He didnt even go to the LAST after party. NOBODY else knew!!
Tear it up is one of my favourite songs.
I love your reaction! Awesome reaction, I feel it, thank you!
Love your reaction and i hope you remember that i am recomending you to react at the full concert in budapest 1986
Freddie's vocal their are insane to
Thanks Hap! Great reaction as always
..........you're driving me gaga.......(last lyrics)..............As always, I love your reactions.
Awesome reaction as usual! I am glad you are getting to Wembley. Although I disagree strongly about Freddie's singing in the opening. That was amazing singing, the best version of that song, far better then in the 70's. Freddie hit two B4 notes in head voice and followed it up with two extremely powerful A4 notes in full chest voice. That is extremely difficult, most people would not even try to sing A4 notes without head voice. Freddie was sick, but he still did some of the best A4 notes he had ever done in his life, there are few great B4 notes as well. By 1986, Freddie's voice was
at its most powerful.
Thanks for that.
Great reaction. Love the intro to Seven Seas, his piano playing is just WOW!!! John is singing his heart out. Would love to hear him!!!!
Great reaction Hap! This version of Seven Seas of Rhye is my alarm clock 😊
Love love love Freddie and Queen💕💕💕💕💗
Bloody incredible. I'm loving the rarer cuts done live, wonderful.
This is my favorite song.
All I can say is no other group can touch em ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You're absolutely right, I also think that Tear It Up is Brian's attempt to repeat the success of We Will Rock You :) it's even clearer in the studio version, where the drums are louder
I was listening to a podcast about Queen a couple of days ago and heard an amazing fact. The first tour that Queen actually made money on rather than lose money on was the Magic Tour in 1986. It is hard to believe that Freddie’s last live tour with Queen was the only tour the band made money on.
I must add Foo Fighters live are a force to be reckoned with 🥰 not the greatness of Freddie and Queen, but , I've seen them 4 times now and my god they're awesome 🥰
Friday and Saturday were a bit different. It was raining on Friday which brought out some hijinks from the lads. The 50s rock medley was more fun on Friday I think. Wembley is great for having cameras on each band member. You can see how much Roger sings. All three of these songs would sound different without Roger's high backing vocals. If I tried to play the intro to Seven Seas of Rhye my hand would fly off. Freddie was really talented on the piano. He played with real passion and had wonderful rhythm. This is such a great concert. 👑
I love the 3 songs of queen that how freddie delevered was so great and amazing they are 4 great and not bored listening and watched so many times thank you for sharing God bless.
YES!! HAP!! Seven Seas of Rye. The fairy tale- the story telling- you hit on it- I truly love the lyrics!
Love this medley! Awesome reaction!!! ❤️❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️ thanks
Tear it up is one of my favorites long live Freddie an Queen Forever ♾️👑🌹
Always come back to HAP3SPEAKZ for my Queen in Wembley Seven Seas medley!
You Are The GOAT of reaction videos.
Bravo 👏 Hap 👏👏👏 sei sempre molto attento . Grazie per questo regalo 🎁 di Natale 🥰💘🌹
As a huge Freddie / Queen fan it's brilliant seeing your reaction to them. Fantastic reaction brilliant ❤️
GARACIAS PR REACCIONAR ASI.FREDDIE ES EL MEJOR Y ME HACE LLORAR
I love the 2nd verse...
No beginning, there's no ending
There's no meaning in my pretending
Believe me, life goes on and on and on
Forgive me when I ask you where do I belong
You say
I Can't Set
You free from me
But that's not true
It's in the lap of the Gods
Not many could sing that song and you would be able to hear what they were saying ❤️
I love Freddie and Queen💘and i love your reaction!❤
Freddie is extra great in the Lap of the Gods and fantastic n all the songs and the Band also ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Excelente .... Me encanta in the lap of the gods 🥰..... Beautifull song ....
I love this entire concert ... and you've done a fair chunk of it. All out of order, but I'm hoping you'll get through the whole thing eventually. And yeah, there was a bit of a strain on that one note and he was a bit hoarse at various times, but live, near the end of a long -- and Freddie's last -- tour, so I'll cut him a ton of slack. Given the 99.99999% of awesomeness. heh :-)
Everyone should read Queen Unseen by Peter Hince who was the head roadie for Queen for 10 years.
One of my favorite live performances!Absolutely fabulous!💫👍🎉
The version of In the lap of the gods is the live Odeon Hammersmith
I have the double dvd of these 2 concerts watch them often.
Great reaction as usual Hap.
Loved your reaction! I enjoyed it just as much!!
Tear it up from The Works (1984).
Is This The World We Created also in the same album. And you can hear/react Keep Passing The Open Windows from that album too Hap 👑
More please Hap. Another One Bites the Dust. Freddie’s Improv will blow your mind and the rock medley is lots of fun
🎶🎶wind me up- wind me up- 🎶🎶- let me gooooo!🎶🎶
Just an amazing reaction as usual. Wembley in itself was a monster showcase of their talent! Still waiting for you to react to Wembley's ...A Kind of Magic...totally EPIC!
Nobody could do it Hap only our Freddie
To be fair Freddie had a cold on both nights and it's understandable that he was probably a little tired after the first night. With that being said, he still kills it at this concert and definitely sounds better than most people with colds
The answer is NOBODY!!! Not then, not now, not in the infinite future 😁
He also drank and smoked and more for many years!! We didnt know back then. I cant imagine him smoking KNOWING it would affect his voice. But it did
There is only One and it will
Never happen again. 💔💔💔
OOPS!, REACTOR EXTRAORDINAIRE!!
Great Hap, you too have grown since you started, confidence is a good feeling 😍😍
He had the fastest hands on piano and guitar ❤️
Yeah, his voice is a little strained here after the Friday show- and that’s no surprise, it’s what to be expected. What’s so good about Freddie is that he can tell when his voice is struggling, and he needs to change the pitch, and he can do so sometimes very dramatically without any detriment to the song. A real master of his voice he was.
You’ll have to look up the lyrics on Tear it Up! - 🎶🎶 I wanna be a toy at your birthday party- wind me up🎶 wind me up- let me goooo!! 🤣🤣🤣
Your reaction is contagious Hap!
This is a re-visit and your reaction hits home as much as the first time watching. 🎧🎶
Hey Hap!!! Hope you and yours are well. Had to come back for another view and some Hap3 fix ! 😃👍
A few magic tour versions of this song has Freddie attempting a higher note on this song, at leiden 1986 he gets c5 which is two octaves higher than the studios version and he attempted this in chest voice.
Tear It Up is a gem often over looked , its Brian at his heavy best with screaming vocals off Freddie . Fantastic track off The Works
You should do the entire concert and especially Freddie's Impromptu performance!
