That romanticizm is just sth the movie started. He said that he didn't wrote his songs for someone (and in that interview, he especially gave this song as an example, he said "...for example love of my life, I basically made it up") and there was no connection between his songs and his life (his own words). Although it is known that, after that interview, he did write some songs for certain people. And John Reid said that he told him he wrote Love Of My Life for David Minns (his boyfriend at the time), but I would rather believe Freddie.
