Holy Heckers! The production value on this video is top top tier, your editing and pacing is amazing, your delivery very is amazing. This video seems like it would be made by someone with hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of subscribers, and yet you're this small!? I hope you get more attention in the future, your videos are awesome!! :D
Not sure if this works for your flow, but next time you try a one day challenge, I’d love for you to search an stl database for a keyboard base (as an example) and print that out while you are disassembling the keyboard+sketching out your prototype. Then you can pop one of the switches in the printed online stl and talk about what designs changes you’d want in your design (ie an included wrist rest, tight edges to the pcb, etc). Maybe only do this if the object is small (so you aren’t wasting $30 of plastic on a prototype) Great work as always!! Love the end result and is a huge upgrade over her old razr!
Not a bad idea Alex, I didn't really think of trying existing projects online to just test fitment. I had a look for any custom keyboards that had a palm rest included and from one lasercut piece, and since I didn't see anything I went straight into designing from scratch. Maybe on longer projects, some sharing of a further exploration phase could be useful!
have you thought of using MEK (aka plastruct) to bond the PLA? it bonds pla really well and does not require application of heat. the only drawback is that anywhere it touches that doesn't get bonded will look a bit extra glossy, but it's great for connecting PLA cleanly
@@camshand it also works on various other plastics. it works by melting a thin layer and rebonding it to whatever plastic is butting up to it. I forgot to mention that when you do use this.. make sure you have a small fan or wear a ventilator because it generates fumes atleast very briefly. protect your lungs.
Share the vid and we'll get there 😉 haha naah for real appreciate you watching my vid, and if you enjoyed it and watch future ones then the algorithm will hopefully do it's job 🤙 next keeb vid will hopefully be for my own custom build
That's what I like to hear! I love trying new things and really enjoying sharing it with you. Also Thank you for coming back and watching my video's, appreciate it 😁🤙
Thanks for making this for me! You put 110% into everything and it shows! Congratulations on 10k subs! 🎉🎉🙏
Glad you liked it! And thank you for the 10K balloons 🎈
