    The ending is very powerful, hopefully we all go uptown in eternal peace. The heavenly kid was choked up going up the escalator because God gave him a chance to redeem himself, way to go heavenly kid, way to go! Hey he got it covered! Great film 10 out of 10 storytelling and inspirational ending scene.

    • @AR-xd3dp
      @AR-xd3dp 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I guess the assumption was that Bobby wasn't going to change when he got older,they got that dead wrong(pardon the pun),I don't think Bobby would've stuck to his old tropes,like Emily he would changed.He said it himself,cause he died young he missed out on alot of things in life.That why he risked everything for Lenny,to give him the chance to live life to the fullest.The chance he never got

      I agree, it's an emotional and great ending. You can see in his face while he is going up the escalator thinking "This is the beginning of my life in eternal peace." I was tearing with emotional joy for him that he made it UPPPP TOWNNN! 🥂👍👍😎

    I think that one point that this movie emphasizes is how precious life is, how quickly life goes by, and how quickly one's life can end. I think that one message that could come from a movie like this is to enjoy every day of your life as much as you can

    He was willing to spend eternity in hell to save his son's life even though he knew his son was going to heaven. He wanted his son to live a full life. Something he didn't get a chance at. He didn't know that he was given a chance to redeem himself.

    It's amazing how much movies represent certain parts of our own lives and then the memories they bring back. I saw this movie when it first came out, which was during the summer before I started high school. I may not have been the healthiest or the most well adjusted young girl at that time in my life, but seeing movies like these still allowed for some good times during my not so healthy youth. Thank God for the good times that we do still have in our lives, despite all the problems.

    Watched the TV version which included the edited out scenes. Hope his mother did tell him who Bobby was.

      Kinda racist as I recall after I got the the end of that escelator. I must have been threatened 3 times in one night just for being white. First and last time I'll ever go to Atlanta. I got stuck at the airport and decided to take the train downtown. Which is where that exact escelator literally goes 🤣
