Everyone, thank you for all your kind comments, it means so much to me. I love this movie !!! The song has a special place in my heart. It was produced by George Duke who we lost a year ago. He was a great music man with a warm heart. Everyone's kind words tells me this song keeps on touching people in so many ways. Keep listening !!! Love To All !!! Jon
I had no idea you responded to my video, can you tell me what album I can get this song, the soundtrack was pulled due to a defect and been wanting to properly support your work by having an actual copy of the CD, thanks
Loved this movie as a kid and now I'm 46 years old and fighting for my life right now, and I happened to remember this song. Definitely lifts my spirits.
I grew up with movie and just watched it again on Amazon prime. It truly was a very underrated film. I still can't believe all the negative reviews. Don't people have a soul??? The music, the story, the characters were all great in this..
What I miss about these talented , powerful but a little cheesy songs , were the dreams peoples had in their hearts. A lot of hope. Even if impractical, it was a different time.
"With the eyes of a fool and a heart full of fire , I'm climbing a mountain that keeps getting higher... I'm playing a game that no-one's supposed to win" .... goosebumps every single time!!!!!
I'm heading for someplace that ain't in a dream. I'm heading where no mortal man's ever been. And you may never see my face again. The eyes of a fool and a heart full of fire. On my way Where I want to be Got to stay Out on the edge Out on the edge I'm betting it all on a roll of the dice I got nothing to lose, but the rest of my life I'm chasing a dragon And I'm gonna ride him down The harder I run and the faster I go And the faces I've never seen here before I know this is it It's too late to turn back now On my way where I want to be Got to stay Out on the edge Out on the edge On my way where I want to be Got to stay Out on the edge I'm betting it all on a roll of the dice I got nothing to lose, but the rest of my life I'm chasing a dragon And I'm gonna ride him down The harder I run and the faster I go And the faces I've never seen here before I know this is it It's too late to turn back now On my way where I want to be Got to stay Out on the edge I'm headed for some place that ain't in a dream I'm headed where no mortal man's ever been And you might never see my face again The eyes of a fool And a heart full of fire I'm climbing a mountain that keeps getting higher I'm playing a game no one's supposed to win On my way where I want to be Got to stay Out on the edge In the middle of 2021 and we continue listening to this great song from the 80s' greetings from Lima Peru!

Thank You Jon Fiore for this song, Out on the Edge. I first heard it when I watched The Heavenly Kid for the first time when I was five years old. I watched it continuously, playing it over and over again, but the song Out on the Edge didn't get old. Something about that whole movie didn't ever get old to me. Hearing this song as a young child shaped a part of my childhood that makes it part of what I am today and I thank you for that.
Must have watched this movie a hundred times with my dad as a kid. Had a dream last night about this song, probably haven't heard it in years. Woke up and the first thing i done is look it up, instant tears.
I watched this all the time growing up as well...I'm watching it now for the first time in forever. I know I'm going to get all teary-eyed when this song plays at the end as Bobby goes up to Uptown.
(1985) still listening on Dec 27, 2019. I was, 1 years old when "Heavenly Kid" came out. I believe everyday there's a God & Angels who saves us. I'm Thankful to be Alive to say it. I'm a Survivor for reasons. (Some) people don't understand "Spiritualism" if they Never known God. I like this song. 😇🌈♥️💯💐
I watched this movie when I was young. Now that I am 47 years old, got the chance of watching it again online. Thanks for the soundtrack and the lyrics, of course!!!
I finally found it! After years of searching titles like "Stair Way To Heaven" and "Knocking On Heavens Door", "Out On The Edge" just poped into my mind out of nowhere.
I love this song ❤️🔥 This was my mother's favourite movie ❤️🔥 She watch him with me when I was a child from 8 years ! Today, I,m 43 years old , my mom died when I was 21 years old ! I will remember me on my mom with this movie and song ❤️🔥🫂✨ and I see her again in the overtown ❤️🔥🫂✨🙏🏻 xoxo Judith ♥️
Ich liebe diesen Film dieses Lied, seid ich ein Teenager war und ihn zum ersten Mal gesehen habe. Die 80 er das beste Jahrzehnt das es je gab bis Mitte der 90 er die beste Zeit.
I was born when this movie came out. Watched many, many times. I love at the beginning in the gut race when this song played. I would love to own that 53? Chevy. I love the look of those cars. Great under rated movie!
I just watched this movie out of nostalgia even though I was born in 1983. My parents at the time watched this a lot in my household right before my Dad went to prison for 5 years. They divorced when he got out and I never reunited with my father afterwards up until recently. I am now 38 years old. I forgot how catchy this song was while reviewing the film. The song has been stuck in my head so I had to hear it. thanks for posting really. Reminds me of a great time when I was surrounded my my siblings and Mom and Dad were still together. Nothing but good times. Bobbies character even dressed like my Dad according to my Mom who would play this for us while Dad was away. It was really emotional for me to get through the whole movie and now I want to call my brothers and sisters. My Dad however texts me everyday. THey are all in Texas and I am in California. I miss them all. To great memories.
I love this movie still have an original copy of the vhs, this song is amazing Jon it rocked when i was 5yrs old and still rocks 2day :3 thank you sir for such an amazaing piece.
+Zoltan769 Not just music in the 80's rocked, had rhythm, rhyme, reason, great singers, but the acting in movies in the 1980's was pretty awesome! The actors made you believe and feel like you were part of the movie, or one of the main actors in the film. That's how damn good talent was back then. You go to movies now days and it's very monotone in demeanor. Looks like everyone is on sedatives; almost zero facial expressions and zero fluctuation ion the tones of their voices. It's highly disappointing to go see an anticipated movie now days only to be disappointed with the acting. Hollywood needs a huge overhaul on standards and style of acting once again; make people feel alive; like they can relate to what the actors are going through in films once again.
This was a great movie! I remember seeing it for the first time when I was home sick from school and what better to feel better than a 80's movie? It still has a special place in my heart.
Everyone, thank you for all your kind comments, it means so much to me. I love this movie !!! The song has a special place in my heart. It was produced by George Duke who we lost a year ago. The song is ok. I understand Elektra Records did the soundtrack.
Nice song. Lewis Smith was in that movie. What was his character, in that movie?

This is a great song, Jon, thank you for making it!
Loved this movie as a kid and now I'm 46 years old and fighting for my life right now, and I happened to remember this song. Definitely lifts my spirits.

If you were born in the 80’s you will love this movie. People that were born in the 2000’s would think this movie is boring.
i was born in 2005 and this movie is awesome, probably my favorite
What I miss about these talented , powerful but a little cheesy songs , were the dreams peoples had in their hearts. A lot of hope. Even if impractical, it was a different time.
Literally just finished watching this movie for the first time. Truly an amazing movie and the story line was a 10/10 Absolutely loved it.
For some reason, this song gives me goosebumps. Movie was A+ also.

The 80's Were Awesome!!
I'm heading for someplace that ain't in a dream.
I'm heading where no mortal man's ever been.
And you may never see my face again.
The eyes of a fool and a heart full of fire.
I'm climbing a mountain that keeps getting higher.
I'm playing a game that no one's supposed to win.
On my way
Where I want to be
Got to stay
Out on the edge
Out on the edge
I'm betting it all on a roll of the dice
I got nothing to lose, but the rest of my life
I'm chasing a dragon
And I'm gonna ride him down
The harder I run and the faster I go
And the faces I've never seen here before
I know this is it
It's too late to turn back now
On my way where I want to be
Got to stay
Out on the edge
Out on the edge
On my way where I want to be
Got to stay
Out on the edge
I'm betting it all on a roll of the dice
I got nothing to lose, but the rest of my life
I'm chasing a dragon
And I'm gonna ride him down

And the faces I've never seen here before
I know this is it
It's too late to turn back now
On my way where I want to be
Got to stay
Out on the edge
I'm headed for some place that ain't in a dream
I'm headed where no mortal man's ever been
And you might never see my face again
The eyes of a fool
And a heart full of fire
I'm climbing a mountain that keeps getting higher
I'm playing a game no one's supposed to win
