The whole time watching that bit I was thinking that you where going to send it off the pier, not destroy your propeller.
Yeah, if he'd gone faster I think the prop would have been fine.

I would personaly use the rear axle to make a centrifugal pump and use that to run the boat or install something like that inside the boat, because going in and out of the water will keep destroing props no mater what. is too exposed

Definately, all wheel drive to get up out of the water. Also, the DUKW had the propeller in a recessed housing. Emulating that would reduce chances of the propeller getting broken. Overall, the new drive system is awesome! I'm always so inspired by these projects!

Try adding a mechanical winch to it so it will be easier to get it out from ditches and/or bad spots near the shore. Hope this will help. Nice idea about modifying it to look good and work good.

Definitely an improvement over your last. However, the one thing I could suggest is to convert your hand pedals to foot pedals and make it something you can drive everyday by putting seats in the car

@@plusxz821 4 wheel drive means all the wheels are powered means it can go faster instead of the normal cars which uses 2 wheels to drive

Still think it would be cool if you can build a small carrier that launches RC planes with a similar catapult system and lands them with the cable to catch them too. It would be a challenge but really cool if it was all scale. Maybe you could use that little boat as the base for the deck.

I like how he could've just gone in the water initially to stop, but he chose the pier, then instead of going fast he went slow
Reminds me of the TopGear episode where they had to go along a lake. One of them had a housebout made out of a VW camper and hit the prop on the pier when he went down it.

the first 41 seconds where the most dramatic seconds of my life
make it solor and see if you can add two speed controls (including revers) to the wheel and propeller. it might make handling the steering wheel so much better

Maciej Czapka it is, buy I think its a bit far even for Peter. You would have to use metal for EVERYTHING, ballast would be a huge obstacle, and thats not to mention the air supply. Would it be cool? No. It would be awesome. But it would be really expensive and would take months, if not years, to get right

You've done a fantastic job building that boat the only thing you'll have future problems with is salt water . If you don't wash it that's where I believe problems start . Anyway, wonderful job and it's a great idea .💯🙌🙏😇💪👊👍

Hi. I am very very impressed with your homemade boats. Have you ever thought of using a small 2 stroke engines? (gas/petrol 18cc, 20cc, 24/25cc engine grass trimmers?) That'll be fun. I am watching your homemade gadgets (including electric mini aeroplane). Question: what do you think of putting/adding extra propeller behind the original propeller?( creating a mini turbine, just put an extra length of shaft for a two set of propellers arranged alternatively, 2nd behind 1st: the blade of 2nd propeller is NOT line up with 1st one, but in the middle)

I wanted to say thank you Peter all your videos inspired me to be an aeronautical engineer the subject is so interesting and I’m glad you made me realize this
would be pretty cool to see the wheels more tucked into the body, if at all possible. and then a larger motor/engine to take advantage of the reduced drag to get to planing speeds.
