      @cliftonsnider1520 I like the way you wrote that : "no government pencil pusher regulations" ! 👍
      Easier in the US than in EU but it surely is inspiring !
      A few years ago, you could still play with laws... Police : "Driver license ?" -> "It's a boat !"
      River police : "You there !" -> "Nope, it's a truck !" 😁

    I think it is awesome, an when you are in the water you don't have to worry about dragging on the bottom because the tires will drive you on out instead of getting stuck. Plus if someone else gets hung up on the bottom, you can pull them out and free them. Once you finish the interior I would like to see the finished results. Don't forget to add a huge projector screen and projector on the very top so other boats near you can watch the movie with you. Sharing is caring, right brother. I just found your channel this morning, I'm looking forward to seeing some of your other builds. The yellow car is a must watch along with few others. I "had" a similar concept, using a 1970s Land & Sea, SeaCabin houseboat, incorporating steering on land from both the main and upper helm station, incorporating retractile wheels (flush with hull), that is four wheel drive.
    Unfortunately, there's a few design problems, the top two are, weight and ground clearance.
    I'm guessing, the tires (pressure) will act as the suspension?

    i think the most impressive thing about this build is the fact that it floats basically level. i figured it'd float kinda weird because of the wheels. I know they're likely buoyant on their own, but the way the back one sticks off in the center i figured would throw things off, and the wheel wells for the front wheels removed more displacement than the tires added. quite remarkable that it doesn't sit low in the front, or look all that unstable from the middle wheel.

    • @AgentWest
      @AgentWest 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was expecting the opposite- the boat sitting too low in the back, considering that the engine, riser for the wheel, and the fork being back there and mostly above water line.

      @TheAruruu 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      it probably isn't registered. it's likely handled the same way that farm equipment is handled. it's not technically road legal, but you are permitted to transport farm equipment certain distances without needing anything special. beyond that, you'll either need a permit, or police escorting (which is actually stupid easy to get. you basically just go ask for it).

    But in the test I would never have put my family in danger.
    Maybe it's because I'm a bit lacking in confidence, but I would have done the test without people on board, lest there be a leak, a loss, as well as not knowing if the weight and buoyancy were well distributed.
    But anyway, I'm glad it worked without mishaps, and that now you have one of the coolest amphibians of the place... maybe of the state or of the country, haha...

    Really too bad he didn't document this with a TH-cam channel. Would have been marvelous.

    AWESOME!!!!! The only thing that was a major concern for me was when you first drove up out of the water, the props were still engaged which had me really worried with all those people and kids in close proximity.

      That's okay, if kids get chopped up from being too close, the word soon gets around which deters them from being so foolish next time!... it's all good!!!

    Theonomics...Powered By GOD. Love it. Great video! Radiator hose clamp utility knife blades around the rear of the propeller to cut seaweed off! It works on trolling motors.
