I can really appreciate Jae standing up for JYP as a person. JYP gets a lot of hate for no reason because people assume JYP makes all the big decisions within JYPE. Happy he could clear everything up and that he's finding his passion again.
yeah. it seems like because the company was originally ran by JYP himself and the fact that its literally named after him, people quickly throw the blame on him for whatever happens within the company. don't get me wrong, he does have some flaws, but if Jae respects him, then we should as well.
bro I could not agree more! like I don't like JYP for some things he has specifically done in the past, but it is so unfair to blame everything that happens in his company on him. That is why I also like Jae because he tells us specifically who F'd him over and is super straight forward about the stuff that happens to him. So we don't blame some random group or person.
@@TheDOWNxSHIFTED that and also because he wants to focus on music production.. i think a huge part of it started in 2015 when twice and day6 debuted.. or more like around like got7 debut.. Twice is the prototype model of jype for it..
Most people don't know how company works. Even if JYP is the founder doesn't mean he have full control of the company especially when the company expand so much. It is not easy to manage a big company thats why he need to hire many people which the quality is different. There is a lot of things to consider in the company too
Jackson high-fiving JYP as a trainee is the most Jackson thing ever lmao. Funny thing is he did the same thing to Jay B but he didn't get away with it that time 💀
So glad Jae was able to be on the OTV Podcast and express his honest thoughts about so many things. It was sad to see him forced to stop streaming because of external pressure, and he looks & sounds so much happier now that he's doing what he wants instead of what other parties want him to do.

Damn, Jae is one of the few people Ive seen that can make Toast really open up on camera and be so wholeheartedly invested in conversations, would definitely love to see more interactions with him and the OTV friend group. Great podcast!
I didn’t know much about Jae prior to this podcast but I like this guy a lot now. His personality brings out positive energy out of ME somehow. I’m looking forward to whatever he does next and he’s inspired me to really shoot high for my dreams. Jae idk if you’ll ever see this but good shit 👍
You should listen to his music.. Day 6 and as he said he sings and plays guitar and they're all so good or Eaj idk many of the songs he did on his own but I believe he did like one or two at least
idk but him appearing and expressing that he's happier in America makes me think of Blackpink. I feel like K-Idols when in America or outside Korea they just seem happier and have more freedom. I'm not a Blink but I follow their socials sometimes and they do seem to be enjoying their time in America/ outside Korea like Jae.
I absolutely respect this guy so much. Jae is genuinely one of my favourite artists out there and I love his music and his personality. Well, Jae once had his own podcast for a year and he did really great as a host. I've been expecting nothing but super engaging conversation between these two and they delivered just that.

Fr day6 is trending on twitter and its all “i hate jae” “day6 hates jae” “all of jaes friends hate jae”, but no ones actually giving context/proof as to why!?? Its getting ridiculous, people are twisting his words and acting like he’s the worst person to exist on the planet,,, he’s revealing harsh truths about the kpop industry and it seems like people don’t wanna admit it??

i think about the bad treatment is come from the company which is jype entertainment (jype) and yeaaahhh many people and even idols have many issues with them lol. i think for jyp the person, he seems a pretty decent guy, but not good boss, or someone you want to work with

I read so many negative comments thrown towards Jae on social media especially on Twitter and it's just SO funny how Jae is actually living his own life, feeling his own vibes, minding his own business, laughing out loud, yet those haters are busy consuming every single Jae content to make hate comments on them like??? You don't even like Jae, no? I'm not sure how but those haters sure have an excellent time management skill and enough time to spend on their favorites AND the person they said they hate. i've known day6 for yeeears now, it's so interesting to see the other sides of jae. you don't really get to see that often in kpop because of how the korean music industry is strict with idols images.
He hardly speak in Korea for real. Even in Dive podcast, he still has some limitations, like he restrained himself to not say some things. But when he's in US, he def feels like at home.
Jae is honestly one of the most inspirational human beings, he truly makes my life better. i am so happy he's happy and he's really being his self and it makes me so proud and emotional to see him this comfortable and just Jae being Jae
this is the most interesting episode so far and I really am curious about all the going ons of the kpop industry from jae's perspective. really insightful and this made me really root for him. you got this jae!!
JAE your are famous....you are in the biggest k-band in Korea, world-reknown now, AWARD-WINNING ARTIST, you're the most popular member of said band too... Be confident in DAY6
Finallyyyyyyyyyy!! tbh for me the back and forth questions + topic transitions felt so smooth for this episode. Maybe cause of Jae's experience hosting Dive Studio's HDIGH podcast? Anyway thankyou OTV for having Jae, love love this episode!
All I was doing is going crazy.. I been a fan of Jae/EAJ for about 4-5 years! I love Day6 so much and seeing him interact with one of my favorite streamers with Jae!? God I love them. I’m glad Kpop is recognized more internationally compared to 2015(the year I got into Kpop) :)
I feel like Jae is just done with Kpop... not the music, but the industry politics... and honestly, good for him! Edit : well, he fucked up... wow, way to ruin your own career...
@@hyon2441 jae is on hiatus, sungjin & young k are in the military, wonpil & dowoon are doing their own things. day6 isn’t disbanded, but the fandom has been rlly quiet 🥲
I understand Jae when he said he felt pressure when performing with the group cause you dont wanna be the one who fuck things up. This is the reason why I dont like group work. Not because some member may not do the parts but I felt scared to not do the best and up to their standards and that stresses me a lot whenever I have a group work. I know this is not comparable but I just kinda understand what Jae is feeling ✌
The level of transparency that is shown by them is really refreshing, honestly why I keep watching this content, not only the podcasts but OTV as well and hope this trend sticks!
The comments here about this podcast is so much open minded it’s peaceful to read than with the twitter people, they’ve been roasting jae, twisting words, making scenario with no context, even cancelling lmao for what? for speaking what’s on his mind and showing his true personality. Jae’s just keeping it real and i bet they’re not ready for it.
I couldn't agree more, I was even a little scared to look at the comment, but looking at the section makes me REALLY realise that twitter is such a shitty app (even tho I'm on there a lot) and that actually there's really very little substantial to this platform like at all. And also, you can clearly see most of what he says is... And I don't want to twist his words, but it's, quite sarcastic. I don't know, Twitter is so fucken weird
A man just talking to his friend about his dreams, and people are shitting on him. Bruh, kids are growing up bullies. smh :/ ANYWAY, always love seeing OTV with eaJ. More please!!!
The contrast responses between here and twitter are insane🤯🤯🤯 Like, in here (YT) ppl are praising him for speaking-up about how the "industry" works and stood up for JYP, meanwhile my twitter's home is in rage because they think eaJ / Jae is just being too vocal and apparently kinda problematic just because he hasn't spoken to their idol in some years. I'm on the former side tho btw.
They probably haven't watched the full podcast, and some are just taking it out of context especially those who don't even know him. Ofc it's Twitter, they are entitled to have 'opinions'😂
Hell yess!!! Like, I came here after seeing the drama those fans created but I didn't see anything serious. I'm not even into Day6 but the whole thing got me curious. Twt stans be creating a hot mess out of nothing as always.. anyway, gonna check out his music in the future.
Genuinely my favourite ep so far. What a great conversation - they vibe with each other really well and had so much insightful thoughts on a lot of important topics. Definitely looking forward to January!!
I clicked on this video because im a myday, i dont really like podcasts because i thought its uninteresiting but I didnt even realize i spent the whole hour listening to them, I really like their vibes together its so entertaining listening to them talk about stuff, I will try to get into podcasts from now on because of this video.
Jae, I will always have your back, Dont worry! Dope podcast, def felt like 10 minutes. Its nice to see a podcast like this, like hearing a conversation of friends next to your table.
I loved this podcast! Jae seems so happy and I appreciate him for being transparent with us. I feel like sometimes he doubts his ability to accomplish things and I hope he knows that he can accomplish great things because he is absolutely talented and his fans are here to support him 100%. Hes an amazing person and he deserves the world. I've been waiting for him to start streaming ever since he stopped lol so I'm absolutely looking forward to seeing him stream again. Toast looks good, love the hair and earrings
To be honest im a bit lazy so i never see the podcasts through but this is the first one i've watched through without even skipping lol. Toast really flows with everyone istg
This is one of my favorite Jae interviews / podcasts, it's so fun to watch! I hope we can have Jae on this podcast again, would love to hear him talk about his solo career now that he's free from the shithole that was his former company. There's so much I'm curious about haha, figuring out the indie musician life, singing a song for Valorant (!!!), the multiple HITC festivals he's done...
Jae is so close to freedom we can almost taste it lmao So excited to see what the future holds for him. Also, expecting a eaJ x Mark Tuan collab if Jae goes back to L.A. definitively 💚🔥
now he's finally tasted it😍 since he's not in kpop anymore he can finally say things that most kpop idols can't because it might ruin their image like Cursing, expressing their own feeling and opinions, OH and even talk shit abt one of your closest friends ON A LIVE STREAM😍 he's finally come out of his shell!!🥰🥰 so happy for him!!
@@King_Jonghyun fr i was actually so disappointed also considering i wasn't really up to date with what he's been doing except for like his songs so i thought he wasn't doing any problematic shit

I could definitely see keshi becoming one of the biggest artists of all time as long as he continues to do himself, and work a long side other artists like Jae and 88 rising, HITC was just built different this year
been watching this for the third time now🥲 I literally enjoy watching them talk and being honest to each other, their chemistry matched well, how the conversation flows, it's just too enjoyable🥲👍🏻 i am rooting for ur both happiness🤟🏻
13:50 Totally logical IMO.. as someone who doesn't follow KPOP, I had no idea who Jae was before this podcast. I'd have to think 'older' viewers(mid-late 20s, 30s, w/e) of the podcast are probably in the same boat since most of us didn't grow up when K-Pop started gaining an international audience. Seems like a fun guy to hang out and shoot the shit with though, glad he's still seemingly down to earth and humble after being successful.
This was a funny and insightful. I really love Jae. I found him through OTV but he has become one of my fav artist. I was soooo sad when he stopped streaming. I will support anything he does.
stan twt is honestly such a toxic environment, I used to be on there often during middle school keeping up with what's happening and toast's statement on not letting an influencer's opinion impact your own really spoke to me. definitely had a lot of moments in where I followed the crowd and just instantly labelled people "problematic" due to the opinion of stans around me, without doing research or trying to form my own opinion. and in all honesty, I'd question my own viewpoint whenever it didn't align with others. felt like everyday I hopped on stan twt, there was always some sort of controversy or drama, whether it be about a celeb or between fandoms and ever since I stopped being as active, I've genuinely been happier.
Stan Twitter along with Instagram has a brain unlike y'all TH-cam users y'all don't know sh_t about anything sit tf down and worry about your mental health
Was waiting with excitement for the podcast with Jae, finally here :D! Now can't wait for the upcoming podcasts with Syd, John and Jodi! Honestly so hyped every Thursday night (EU) for the new podcast, this new format is so good holy.
I love this episode. Not only can I relate and understand what Jae is talking about the culture difference between Korea and America but I witness it by being a K-fan (particularly KPOP) and bruh it's so legit. Enjoyed the episode. Hope there's part 2!!
I think kpop stans as a community also tend to keep away a lot of people who could be kpop fans. Ive met a lot of people that say they like kpop but dont identify as a "kpop stan" On the other hand, their dedication and the time they take to make content for their biases is really admirable and i think is a key reason as to why kpop marketing is so successful

this is the most interesting episode so far and I really am curious about all the going ons of the kpop industry from jae's perspective. really insightful and this made me really root for him. you got this jae!!
I love seeing Jummy being brought up more and more and being a part of streams. He deserves it!
I always knew I'd like Jae after seeing him in streams, but this just made me respect him. Loved when he talked about bettering himself.
Aww ... I missed his HDIGH days with AleXa and PD Diane! 🥺🥺🥺❣️❣️❣️
@@deborahanneicey me too. It ended so quick like I am not ready
Im not happy, now everyone streams instead of enjoying the music. I got hate cuz i used an emoji🙄
I feel like Jae is just done with Kpop... not the music, but the industry politics... and honestly, good for him!
Edit : well, he fucked up... wow, way to ruin your own career...
Well said
yesss i feel the same too!
yassss you underlining it
is he still in day6 all i keep seeing is the rest of the members (i dont even see sungjin in those short side mvs)
I like the host of this podcast. And that Toast guy was fun too.
🤣🤣🤣
Yeah that toast guy dealt with the questions calmly..
The host name is Jae from Day6 aka eaJ
☠️
I love how Jae is so honest about the Kpop industry. Agh love hearing the tea in HONESTEAAAAAAA
What I love about this podcast episode is how Toast and Jae have great synergy throughout the video. There was never a dull or awkward moment.
Jae seems like a super chill dude considering he's a famous kpop star.
i rlly love the relationship between jae and toast it feels rlly authentic
I love how comfortable Jae is with Toast they're like those two cousins in the family who always bonded n stuff
i love how Jae is suddenly interviewing Toast. lmao
hahahaha
Um you got something to say 👀
It’s twitter, don’t expect anything civil
"But I do have a list of people I'm gonna get back to"
I CAN'T WAIT FOR JANUARY TO COME LMAOOOOO 😂💀🔥
just wanna say that Toast's interviewer skills are improving and he's hosting the podcasts really well
Jae's Toast impression when he said "Jae really likes streaming..." it was so good lmao i could hear AND see Toast saying that in my mind
Me toooooo. Hahahaha ^^
A man just talking to his friend about his dreams, and people are shitting on him. Bruh, kids are growing up bullies. smh :/
ANYWAY, always love seeing OTV with eaJ. More please!!!
Honestly that’s why we get along in the world anymore. Everyone is so mean and overly critical of one another.
Ofc it's Twitter, they are entitled to have 'opinions'😂
so true... they're so toxic
@@요배리 it's always like this isn't it smh
Hell yess!!! Like, I came here after seeing the drama those fans created but I didn't see anything serious. I'm not even into Day6 but the whole thing got me curious. Twt stans be creating a hot mess out of nothing as always.. anyway, gonna check out his music in the future.
Twatter stans sure love their toxic company.
eaJ claiming to be the protege that Toast always wanted bruh thas cute
Great conversation! Jae is such a person I’ve never got bored of him just talking. Been a fan since ASC. I really wish you the best Jae.
Genuinely my favourite ep so far. What a great conversation - they vibe with each other really well and had so much insightful thoughts on a lot of important topics. Definitely looking forward to January!!
It’s so nice seeing Jae chilling and have a talk with his friend like this🙆🏻♀️💙
I clicked on this video because im a myday, i dont really like podcasts because i thought its uninteresiting but I didnt even realize i spent the whole hour listening to them, I really like their vibes together its so entertaining listening to them talk about stuff, I will try to get into podcasts from now on because of this video.
it's really nice to have smth to look forward to or have smth to listen to in the background as you do other stuff
i respect jae so much,, people always tend to blow shit out of porportion when it comes to him i hope he's ok,,
Jae, I will always have your back, Dont worry!
I remembered Toast flexing on his friend because Jae followed him in twitter. Now he is a close friend of Jae.
Jae is so close to freedom we can almost taste it lmao
So excited to see what the future holds for him.
@@nabi5597 yeah, this comment didn't age well 💀
@@King_Jonghyun fr i was actually so disappointed also considering i wasn't really up to date with what he's been doing except for like his songs so i thought he wasn't doing any problematic shit
and then randomly that vid appeared on my fyp and yeah i unstanned him after that cuz we don't(and shouldn't!!) stan any misogynist
i love it when everytime jae comes to podcasts/interviews it always become two sided and at some point it looked like he was the one interviewing. what a great conversationalist
"Twitter people are not real." Truest statement ever spoken.
This was a funny and insightful. I really love Jae. I found him through OTV but he has become one of my fav artist. I was soooo sad when he stopped streaming. I will support anything he does.
You know what, I can dig that “Jae as Toast’s protege” idea. Love the dynamic between these two
stan twt is honestly such a toxic environment, I used to be on there often during middle school keeping up with what's happening and toast's statement on not letting an influencer's opinion impact your own really spoke to me. definitely had a lot of moments in where I followed the crowd and just instantly labelled people "problematic" due to the opinion of stans around me, without doing research or trying to form my own opinion. and in all honesty, I'd question my own viewpoint whenever it didn't align with others. felt like everyday I hopped on stan twt, there was always some sort of controversy or drama, whether it be about a celeb or between fandoms and ever since I stopped being as active, I've genuinely been happier.
Stan Twitter along with Instagram has a brain unlike y'all TH-cam users y'all don't know sh_t about anything sit tf down and worry about your mental health
@@bellsgotitnowft lmao what? 🗿
@@bellsgotitnowft you good buddy ?
Twitter in general seems so toxic. Which is why so many people are deleting their accounts.
@@bellsgotitnowft a perfect example of a toxic stan.
I love how honest Jae is. He seems like such a genuine dude. Loved your conversation :)
Jae's tattooed arm is serotonin. It's colorful, I like it
I actually listened to this on Spotify but wanted to stop by and say I really like the podcast and the fact that Toast is the one interviewing people
Jae is such a good sport, he should definitely be invited again
it's so nice to have a conversation as honest as this :') also the chemistry between jae and toast make this podcast really really fun
Finally! lol felt like every week I was wondering whether it would be Jae or someone else ever since it was said that he would appear.
I loved this episode, it seemed more like a podcast than an interview like the other ones. I'm glad they seem really comfortable with each other too.
Omg I just realized that, and it's true
Was waiting with excitement for the podcast with Jae, finally here :D! Now can't wait for the upcoming podcasts with Syd, John and Jodi! Honestly so hyped every Thursday night (EU) for the new podcast, this new format is so good holy.
I only know Jae for his music and hope he makes lots more music. So talented!
There's an ad right after the beep when he he said "well you ghosted me" I'm dying.
After the michael episode about toast and michael not responding to people, I was not surprised at all when Jae said Toast ghosted him
Everything makes sense now,, comparing Twitter and TH-cam comments right now is so different!!! People really do use Twitter to release their anger 🤣🤣
Seeing Jae live at HITC was a dream 😭 seeing everyone there was amazing 😭😭😭
the way me and my best friend screamed because we KNEWWWW Jae was bout to be here, such a good friendship and interaction
this was such a buddy-buddy podcast, Toast is really good at keeping topics flowing naturally, really entertaining stuff.
Jae is the definition of the motto "Reach higher", we must learn from him.
The sponsor video with Yvonnie and Toast is Gold asf.
I love this episode. Not only can I relate and understand what Jae is talking about the culture difference between Korea and America but I witness it by being a K-fan (particularly KPOP) and bruh it's so legit.
Enjoyed the episode. Hope there's part 2!!
A rough time for the mydays, but thankfully Jae is doing what he loves. I just hope one day they all come back to perform one time.
I think kpop stans as a community also tend to keep away a lot of people who could be kpop fans. Ive met a lot of people that say they like kpop but dont identify as a "kpop stan"
On the other hand, their dedication and the time they take to make content for their biases is really admirable and i think is a key reason as to why kpop marketing is so successful
"Jummy does nothing but watch Sana fancams and he's number one."
"It's like 80% Sana fancams from TWICE right, and 20% teamfight tactics."
the power Sana holds 😂
Hey, i get really interesting about that Jummy but idk who he is, do you know his twitch name?? Please
jummychu. he's lily's longtime friend and personal assistant (?). also, tinakitten's ex.
Happy to see Jay happy, really love his music >.< That one part at the end where toast offers to help jay get his twitch name be like "yeah we know some people" lol love it
why does it feel like Jae is interviewing toast instead of toast interviewing Jae? hahahhaa
