The plot of the whole game would surely be very different if the Avatar didn't exist in Sonic Forces
or they could’ve just made Tails playable instead of the avatar. He could still use the same gadgets but it would be Tails rescuing sonic

If they removed the Avatar and Classic, we could've had Shadow and Tails as main playable leads beside Sonic with Shadow and Tails wanting to get even with Infinite and Eggman. The final stand off could've been Shadow against Infinite with Rogue and Omega backing him up while Sonic and Tails go after Eggman with the Tornado before going on foot. Man, the potential.

You can actually beat Arsenal Pyramid with only Sonic/Shadow. The first drift area requires a specific angle of jump boosting while the second drift area only requires you to jump boost in a straight line since the curved wall will steer/bounce you to the right direction.
Same goes for Capital City. There's a video by SonicHyuga proving how.
yes I saw the vid rn and I noticed that capital city was modded so it doesn't crash, thats why i had to use free cam because I didn't mod anything lol
I like to think after Sonic escaped from Nullspace those glitchy effects crossing over were him still disoriantated and in the midst of him shaking it off due to nothing but pure determination.
And when the world needed him most, he vanished... Wait, we're not talking about him? Oh in that case, who cares?
This goes to show that the avatar wasn't really needed either.

The Avatar is one of the (or possibly the ONLY) good thing ever seen in Sonic Forces.

yeah the avatar was alot of fun, and the team stages were actually a lot of fun
You know, the avatar and the Wispons could have easily been replaced with Sonic's friends:
*Burst: Blaze
*Lightning: Silver(?)
*Cube: Amy
*Drill: Knuckles
*Asteroid: Chaotix
*Hover: Tails
*Void: Shadow
Easily last time I checked Sonic's friends were useless in most games in fact as playable characters they suck tails as a sidekick steals airbubbles

Tails could've filled in the Avatar's role. You know, like the old days. He couldn't have given up on Sonic so easily and would be skeptical of his apparent demise. He could've tried looking for Sonic before rescuing him himself with Rouge's help. I mean this's the same Tails who saw Sonic get trapped and blown up in a space capsule w/ no clear escape yet still managed to kick Eggman's butt immediately after lol. And the Wispon is something Tails would fittingly use. He could've invented them himself after Colors.
All of the characters should have had their own levels.
Um people by the games because they want to play as sonic the whole point of sonic games is speed and sinceost of the characters are slow they're not fun to play as at all take for instance knuckles his air mobility sucks

The avatar stages were probably the most fleshed out stages in Forces considering most of them made use of every wispon.

it would be a good idea, if they didn’t have the avatar. All they did was give an OC plot armor, which is not really helping the current situation that Sonic is at in current media. They should have either made it Tails or just kept it as Gadget
OC was growing due just not shown in the right way.
@@razorionxvii638 doesn't even help that it's just Sonic without the boost. The only good parts about the idea is the customization. Everything else "new" about it is either dull at this point or just flat out boring.

una idea que Sonic forces , hubiera hecho para compensar lo corto de sus niveles/zonas, hubiera sido que, en vez de que, haya un tercer personaje jugable (me refiero a él avatar). Que tanto el sonic (el moderno y el clásico), tengan 2 actos para cada zona.

an idea that "sonic forces" , would have made to compensate for the shortness of its levels / zones, would have been that, instead of there being a third playable character (I mean the avatar). That both the sonic (the modern and the classic), have 2 acts for each zone.

@@sethmushambavanhu8391 actually no, but maybe yes, Tails and Sonic arrived at that part of the forest a bit after the Avatar reach there and find the Phantom ruby protp that was left there by Infinite in the Silver Battle, maybe Tails or c/Sonic could use it....
Or you just rewrite the story and actually have Amy, Knux and Miles be allowed to do something beyond either standing in the corner twiddling their thumbs. Or in Tails' case, be stuck having to carry a bad tribute act the whole game, due to him being a mute with barely enough personality to fill a sandwhich.

2:43 I'll never forgive Sega for allowing us to hear this beautiful track for only like 8 seconds. I didn't realize how good the song was until a month later after listening to the OST. They really could've done this stage justice by making us run through Null Space for 1:30 about, then the rest of the stage for another average of 1:30.
I mean there are voice lines in the files that indicate we were meant to be in the Null Space area for longer before reaching the Double Boost segment so it's possible that was the original plan, no idea why they scrapped it last minute though, it's certainly a shame.
If avatar didn't exist then the infinite metropolitan level would be different as Sonic with his skill and boost would doge to the the giant infinite hands hence not needing to run around like avatar did and I'm guessing Sonic would get the replica and the unused Null space dialog would be used as it seemed like he was originally planned to escape it on his own meaning perhaps avatar wasn't apart of the original game perhaps in some of level the other characters would have replaced avatar, which would explain them being in the game more, perhaps we'd even of had a level where we play as silver and then leads into sonic's level which ends with the cutscence of the first infinite boss starting. Oh and Sonic would have been the one stopping the giant sun infinite creates which would make the song that plays make more sense.
Oof thank god a person made this level look good to the eye, as much as I like forces the tones of the yellow sand, the orange and grey tubes all around with green hill looked awful
Wait till people port these levels into frontiers.

I wonder what happens if you play as an avatar with better movements, and attacks.
I already knew this while playing in 2017, but this mod showcases how easily Sonic crushes these levels and how unnecessary the avatar is. What a disappointment.

It Wouldnt Have Much of a big difference considering the fact that you dont really play your OC too much in the game, ok in the final boss but still.

@@mrnnc6805 all stages of this game sucks but the concept and customisation of the avatar its cool and could be more explored even as just a extra novelty like the game does not have him in the story but you can make one and play stages or just make like you can customise your sonic with extra content with costumes and stuff its not bad to have that, but since sega likes to take the hole cake we wont see custom avatars so soon because of how forces was criticised

If the Avatar, and that faker Classic, was there maybe it'd have opened spaces for the other characters to be playable again. As well as actually allowing Tails to do something in Forces, given that he wouldn't be stuck looking weak, so as not to undermine that bad tribute act, while having to carry his mute ass the whole story. It's been 15 years, Sega. Bring back Amy, Knux and Miles for the next mainline 3D game!
