Woaaahhh. Hearing it this way gives me SUCH appreciation for the intricate, creative use of chords / chord progressions in this album. It makes me realize Hail to the Thief is a masterpiece. What could ever top this. I love humming the missing melodies during this whole 8-bit thing.
It's such an underrated album among fans and I don't get it at all, every song is just fantastic. There there is the song I always show anyone if they've never heard any Radiohead because I feel it is perhaps the best single they've ever released and the deep cuts like myxomatosis, where I end you begin, sail to the moon and scatterbrain are just all amazing. Not to mention songs like wolf at the door and 2+2=5 which are highlights in the whole discography
Yeah I don’t get why it has this black sheep status. I think this album is actually LIGHT YEARS ahead of both Kid A and Amnesiac. I love those albums (or least Kid A Lol) but the music here is just incredible. And it’s easily the one that’s stayed topical with our current political predicament.
Both. I remake the songs note for note in FL Studio, convert it to a .midi file, then use the program GXSCC to make it sound in 8-bit. I wish I could convert the song itself into 8-bit. It would save time and sound a lot better. But then everybody would be doing it.
For some reason, A Wolf at the Door made me think of a Streets of Rage ending. Works for me. And given that Where I End and You Begin is one of my favorite Radiohead songs, it's no surprise that it's pretty amazing here, too.
I didn't know I needed this until I heard it. Damn that Where I End And You Begin though, you might have just made one of my favorite songs even better.
Radiohead should write a game that incorporates all their albums in 8bit, possibly an NES style game. Outworld was a personal fav of mine, as the game progresses so do the visuals and sophistication of graphics, like the evolution of their music.
This is truly fantastic. Bravo. This is the only Radio Head album I own. I really like it. Surprised that it is underrated . I'd of thought it was their best.
This is mostly great, but sail to the moon sounds a little odd, which I can fully understand given its odd time signatures likely making it a nightmare to program
I listen to your all your Radiohead 8-bit very often. So damn good work! Love it! But I agree with Foxface and The Mech and PaperTowelDispenser about there there.
Very well done. My only comment: it didn't begin with a sound emulating the opening of the actual album where someone plugs in a guitar or some kind of gear. Maybe the sound of someone inserting a cart into a NES (after blowing in it, of course)?
Weird. A lot of people have been asking for that. I would put it up for download but recently I had to wipe my C:/ drive due to a very nasty virus. I'm still registering all my programs again and it's taking a while, which explains why I haven't been posting a lot of videos lately. If I can find the file I will post it, but for now it's not one of my biggest concerns.
I don't mind that Backdrifts isn't here. Sail to the Moon transitions nicely to Go to Sleep without it. Nice work on making an 8-bit version of the album, though I agree with PaperTowelDispenser about There There's lyrics being missing. It sounds a little off without.
Waited for that image to render. I'm not a smart man.
Gold
David Maris brilliant!!
I'm not a smart man
but I do know what love is
Astounding job!
But you're a top commenter.

Word, my favorite Radiohead album
2+2=5 and Scatterbrain always had a "classical" feeling to me.

Mr Flibble Scatterbrain is one of my favorite songs they’ve ever made.
This would probably be a very dark and scary video game...
It'd probably be called something like "the boney king of nowhere" (which is there there's alternate name)
Mr Flibble maybe it would be called “the gloaming” cuz that’s the alternate title of the album
37:50 Myxomatosis sounds amazing in 8bit
badass song
fuck yeah!!
Yes
So true
The pixels (x46)
"I Will" sounds like the perfect title screen music, Zelda-style. Either that or as background music for a safe zone
What should the battle music be? Go to sleep maybe?
@@theflev-matic4892 that or Myxomatosis
I think Go to sleep actually sounds like good title music
@@theflev-matic4892 Maybe 2+2=5?
Damn, "Where I End and You Begin" sounds amazing in 8-bit.
this comment single handedly caused that part of the video to be the most rewatched by far
sounds like castlevania

Where I End and You Begin is a masterpiece.
lukemarfim kb yes damn it kick ass in 8bit xD
the last minute of Go To Sleep is surprisingly accurate and thorough
I'm going to listen to this while I play Zelda.
+Micah Buzan hahaha, great!
YOU'RE FUCKING EVERYWHERE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
What a genius plan!
Oh yeah, Myxomatosis was definitely my favorite boss fight, good times
This is an incredible accomplishment in the history of music.
Grayson Cartwright Czarnecki unironically agree
The last bit of 2+2=5 is majestic. Thank you for making this - it's brilliant.
I like that you don't leave any gaps of silence between the tracks. It does something really interesting with the flow of the video.
where i end and you begin.....legendary
there there is UNREAL. those drums still sound good in 8 bit
Where I End You Begin sounds straight out of Castlevania.
this absolutely blew my mind! Sing along to every song!!
nice profile pic, bro! Tool and Radiohead are two of my favorite bands ever
You did such an amazing job on these 8-bit radiohead albums, man. Just downloaded them all. Cheers!
zELDAS, PLEASE, X'D/.
Where I End and You Begin is superultraextremeawesomazing!
For some reason, A Wolf at the Door made me think of a Streets of Rage ending. Works for me. And given that Where I End and You Begin is one of my favorite Radiohead songs, it's no surprise that it's pretty amazing here, too.

backdrifts would be so sick. also, this album is dank, bravo. It would be cool if there were vocals in 2+2=5 though. over the intro....
Myxomatosis = the absolute end boss theme
Maybe a title screen
Or credits
The ending part of Go To Sleep sounds amazing in chiptune!
Holy shit, 20 mins in I only just realised this is the 8-bit version. I wondered why radiohead had gone so retro.
I just have to tell you how I think you're the most talented arranger I've had the pleasure of listening to lately. thank you a thousand times
These would sound amazing in an NES game.

+Naymlus Esmour Creep should be a boss battle against their most hated song hahaha
Kid A should be a game.......
Can you tell me more about the game you mentioned? Looking up "Outworld game" didnt really give me anything
@@shadowoftiger116 oh my fucking god
@@shadowoftiger116 wish granted
Scatter Brain sounds amazing.
sit down, stand up. holy shit. that was perfection.
2+2=5 sounds like an underground level.
2+2=5 would be the greatest dungeon music for an NES game. Time to go play Zelda.
a wolf at the door
Scatterbrain is the music happy town music but then the princess is taken and it all goes bad and wolf at the door is when you first meet the boss
I Will and A Wolf at the Door sound so good 8bit haha
This is truly fantastic. Bravo. This is the only Radio Head album I own. I really like it. Surprised that it is underrated . I'd of thought it was their best.
nOT UNDERRATED FOR ME, =).
Ohhhh, I came here just to hear Backdrifts ;A; Yet, it's a great work!
God damn. Wolf at the door.
Holy shit, Where I end and you begin and myxomatosis sound fantastic
Jeffrey Rinehart 14:15
A generation of music progression later, but iconocastically Frank Zappa's Absolutely Free album in design cover and social analytics!
I didn't know I need this.. Now I do
Nice profile pic man
Where I end and you Begin.. and Mysomatosis are The BEst n the 8-bit album
Myxomatosis !!! OMG TNKS!!!
I demand a MIDI file of this album. Now.
WHERE I END AND YOU BEGIN SOUNDS AMAZING HERE OML
Not seeing enough comments praising Go To Sleep… that was fantastic!
incredible interpretation of the tones and vibration of hail to the thief
THIS IS REALLY GREAT!!! I mean, the songs sound incredibly spectacular!!!
there there's second part sounds pretty cool in 8-bit
This needs to be done. This needs to be done... This needs to be done.
After listening to it for 15 seconds the pixelated album cover makes so much sense.
This is mostly great, but sail to the moon sounds a little odd, which I can fully understand given its odd time signatures likely making it a nightmare to program
"Go to sleep" sounds so good!!!
"2+2=5", "Where I End and You Begin" and "Go to Sleep" are so awesome
"Where i end and you begin" seems to be the credits music of a videogame. It´s AWESOME.
I listen to your all your Radiohead 8-bit very often. So damn good work! Love it! But I agree with Foxface and The Mech and PaperTowelDispenser about there there.
What an extraordinary thing to invest time and effort on.
Sail to the Moon sounds like something you would hear while walking down a road in an early Pokémon game.
Very well done. My only comment: it didn't begin with a sound emulating the opening of the actual album where someone plugs in a guitar or some kind of gear. Maybe the sound of someone inserting a cart into a NES (after blowing in it, of course)?
Where I end and you begin sounds like some sort of extreme level on mario kart
Go To Sleep is terrific
Wish you also did Backdrifts. It's one of my favourite songs.
this is fucking amazing
MYXOMATOSIS SOUNDS SO COOL OMFG
This is really good. Where I End and You Begin sounds awesome
Lmao I love the clap in We Suck Young Blood
I din't care what anyone else says, you fuckin' nailed "go to sleep." A+ work all around.
Where I End And You Begin is AWSOME!!!!
it's just more than whatever it is. just awesome.
These could easily be my ringtones back in the days before mp3s
really neat, but lacks soul somehow... i wonder if it's just because it's 8-bit... i can appreciate your hard work tho!! nice detail in there.
"sail to the moon" reminds me of "Monkey Island" theme tune - got i love that game
I'm with everyone else here, Where I end and you Begin is fantastic. I mean, they're all pretty great but that one is the best.
Can't believe I now just found this channel, some amazing stuff here!

Zombificus I think Backdrifts is kinda the least essential song on here anyway.
this has got me cracking up lol. it's awesome
We Suck Young Blood in 8 bit sounds both disturbing and hilarious.
sounds gr8
Did you forget the drum tracks for Sail To The Moon or something?
This is AMAZING
This is fabulous! Blown away!
This is amazing. Thank you.
Hell, yeah. This is awesome.
Yessssss
This seems kinda amazing to me.. is there anywhere where you are explaining all that’s going on? All that’s going into this?
Scatterbrain sounds like a "insert coin" music
"I'll stay home forever, where 10 and 10 always make to 101..."
Totally. Maybe a boss battle in a RPG or the final stage in a Gradius game.
This is incredible! I bet it took you forever! Thanks for making it, mate! Are you planning on making any other Radiohead albums 8-bit?
I fucking love We Suck Young Blood.
go to sleepthe best one
6:03 when this part kicks in i can't stop
well done mate! very impressed!
amazing..but i searched this for the sole purpose of backdrifts... :/
8-bit Myxomatosis is the best thing ever!
So good play Bomberman 8-)
