I have to tell you, man... this is ace. I've listened to most everything else Radiohead 8-bit you've posted and The Bends takes the cake for me. Which is funny because The Bends isn't my favorite RH album... but you fucking mastered this one. I don't know if you're still doing this stuff but please keep uploading. Awesome.
Yeah, I just discovered the 8 bit music community yesterday. I've been binging since then. I've quickly discovered not all ports are the same. This one is probably the best I've found!
i think i've designed a video game: planet telex - the pressure is on you the bends - grassy meadow music high and dry - the place where the boss hides fake plastic trees - dying music bones - underground nice dream - battling music just - accomplished mission my iron lung - killer robot battle bullet proof - half a heart music black star - mission accomplished sulk - boss battle music street spirit - game corrupt /error music One year later, I realize I haven't included any intro music. So, "The Bends" shall be that intro music. Edit 20th of April 2022: I completely forgot I created this. I think I had a Pokemon-style game in mind when creating this. Still think that Bones is a bizarre choice for underground music, and Sulk is a strange one for Sulk. However, I still quite like the idea of Street Spirit playing when your game file is corrupted. Anyways, thought I'd add something recent to this 2 (probably almost 3) year old post.
I used to think OK Computer was Radiohead's best album but then I reevaluated this one and this album is so much more full sounding. More drum fills and better beats from the drums, I just love the guitar tones and excellent solos, the bass is very driven and there's lots of dynamics and just as atmospheric as OK Computer even though Let Down is one of their best songs. But this albualbum is where it's at and it's the most coherent. I love Planet Telex, The Bends, Black Star, and Sulk. I love all the songs. All killer and no filler.
weston407 I just think it has that balance to it. A little Pablo Honey, a little bit of what's to come but still containing its own sound. Everyone is at the top of their game here. Kid A is a great album that's perfected fragmentation but if you want solid art rock bofrom start to finish this is it. No duds here.
To be honest, when I saw an 8-bit version of an entire Radiohead album show up in recommended videos, I thought it was some kind of joke, but I'm pleasantly surprised that it sounds really great! Great job! One thing though, your mediafire link you gave had the downloads removed for copyright.
My Iron Lung sounds awesome as an 8-bit song. Very groove-able. Bulletproof also sounds pretty trippy. I like how repetitive the rhythm is - it's like a half second clip constantly looping over.
Fake Plastic Trees is a magical song. This 8 bit version sounds like the end of a goo jrpg game, and the main character is saying goodbye to all the friends and comrades he made through out the journey. Maybe he returns home with the mage girl of the group (During the game the romance between is built up until the end when everything is over, they kiss.) They get on the train headed home. The end. The credits play over screen as we follow the train. Then it fades to black. Then the last message appears "the end"
This is a pretty basic comment but you mastered this album I’ve listened to most the 8 bit renditions but this one made me appreciate the bends orchestration and layering and this is just so good to listen to it made me feel like I was listening to them for the first time but knowing all the lyrics
Amazing work. You can hear the time, love and effort that goes into creating these. I would love to hear your take on Sigur Rós - () 8. Or the entire album! Cheers, you got yourself another fan.
Best karaoke version of Just i've ever heard :D U miss the vocal lines? Then sing it! PS thank you very much @RGYDK for making and uploading all radiohead 8 bit :)
Radiohead Quest 4: The Search for Phil's Hair
You are now cursed to go bald before you hit 30
Planet Telex = Ending a Mission
The Bends = Intro or something
High and Dry = That one level of the game where you're above the clouds
Fake Plastic Trees and Bones = Trader Shop
Nice Dream = Starting a Mission
Just = Boss Fight
My Iron Lung = Underground/Industrial Level
Bullet Proof = Romance Scene
Black Star = End of the game
Sulk = Menu Title
Street Spirit = Boss Fight (presumably the last one)
So you just ignore Bones?
@@ZatSoul it’s probably the part where a villain is introduced
Fake Plastic Trees is definitely at the village in old Squaresoft RPGs.

Planet Telex= Mission Accomplish
Plastic Trees = Happy game ending
Just = Boss Battle
My Iron Lung = Industrial/Factory level?
Street Spirit = Sad boss battle...
+hopscotchoblivion High and Dry = End Credits

Also Nice Dream=World Map
+hopscotchoblivion hey nice observation. We definitely need a game with this soundtrack.
Bones = quest level.

so in 8-bit form Radiohead is still better than every other band :)
i think i've designed a video game:
planet telex - the pressure is on you
the bends - grassy meadow music

fake plastic trees - dying music

sometimes less is more and this album is a perfect example of it - by FAR my favorite Radiohead album

Kid A for life..
This is definitely my favourite album from them.

You are doing a social service by uploading this
(I am not kidding when I say some of these songs I will play at my wedding)
everyone 8 a bit and left?
@digiface loved it
anyone else ever think its funny how thom sings "everything" in both the beginning of the bends and kid a?
Street Spirit is totally the final boss music for this.
So true.
NameTaken1191 I feel it should take place in a Zelda type dungeon.
Final boss music on a quest against Creep that The Bends is
Thank you Based Dunk.
I like how you actually made Planet telex transition into The Bends
Black Star melts my heart.
8-bit Radiohead > Most other bands.
I've never seen a more honest and true comment in my entire life.

This is insanely awesome.
This is a pretty basic comment but you mastered this album I’ve listened to most the 8 bit renditions but this one made me appreciate the bends orchestration and layering and this is just so good to listen to it made me feel like I was listening to them for the first time but knowing all the lyrics
excellent way of putting it at the end
This made my Monday and possibly the month!!
Best compliment you can give a musician using FL Studio is that their music doesn't sound like FL Studio. Good work
thought it was GXSCC
how awesome radiohead is, even at 8bit is sounds fucking awesome
Love it. I would even pay good money to go and see this live.
Street Spirit sounds like a final boss fight xD
LOL
because it is
The boss is depression.
Dahédaƒos .
Good played sr
Fake Plastic Trees is like the music to a break-up scene in a teen soap opera starring lego people.
this just made my day thank you so much
God I love this album, and now I love the 8 Bit version.
Amazing work. You can hear the time, love and effort that goes into creating these. I would love to hear your take on Sigur Rós - () 8. Or the entire album!

Street Spirit has potential to turn into a PC-98 touhou theme
Still get chills from Street Spirit...
Best karaoke version of Just i've ever heard :D U miss the vocal lines? Then sing it! PS thank you very much @RGYDK for making and uploading all radiohead 8 bit :)

this helps me do my school work thank you for this!
This is the perfect way to start the day. Thank you ever so much xxx
There's no way I can "like" this enough.
I love you whoever you are who made this
street spirit sounds like it's a dark souls boss if dark souls was made in the 80s
What a fuccin awesome job you've done with all of this albums. Kudos to you.
Oh, btw: Is there any Amnesiac 8 bit version? I want to hear that pyramid song all messed up, but can not really find it anywhere U_U
There's some subtle changes you made to Fake Plastic Trees that makes me kinda like this more than the original version.
It’s Radiohead without the let down just leaves you feeling High ahhhhh
this sounds like some old messed up video game!
Well that's the point, isn't it? Old video game music was 8-bit.
Fake plastic trees sounds actually good in 8-bit. Sounds like something that could be played in a end-credits
when a song is good ... well nothing can ruin it ... except me and my guitar ;)
😁
"Just" RULES
Whoever made this should do an 8-bit To Be Kind by Swans
The Seer ........ Lift Your Skinny Fists .
Yes!
Street Spirit = Castlevania
P.S. Very lovely work.
P.P.S. This is making my work day tolerable - much gratitude :)
Unpopular opinion: My iron lung is the best radiohead song

I need a video game with this ost
World class work, awesome.
Really, really cool, thanks for sharing!
This is amazing. I'm gonna get my mega drive outta the attic now!!
Really awesome! Thanks!
Nice dream sounds so much more uplifting than the real thing; could be the title sequence for a lighthearted NES-era platformer game
Street Spirit sounds a lot like Teardrop by Massive Attack
Street Spirit reminds me of the binding of isaac
Love it. Singing along like a crazy thing!
Está increíble esto viejo
Muito interessante esta versão para este clássico!

Can't wait to listen A Moon Shaped Pool in 8- bit.

Just is freaking awesome!
Damn, Street Spirit (Fade Out) sounds great
AWESOME
I think I might like this better than the original. :X Don't kill me, RH fans!
Since this is so amazing in it's own right, we'll let you slide.
Haha. Funny how you're the first one to notice after all this time. Fixed.
Dunkey!!
Street Spirit reminds me of the music that plays in the Pokemon Cemetery
This is hilarious and somehow really good
Nobody did a 8bit version of the king of limbs. Am i the only one who likes this album? There's a pablo honey 8bit version btw
Just as good as the original, in it's own way.
