Hey everyone with tanned or deeper skin tone- don’t worry so much about finding a suitable colour corrector- NYX has a darker skin friendly version of their colour correction palette featured in this video. That one retails for the same price but features darker more saturated colours- however, there are no greens or yellows etc as discolouration is different on different skin tones and overall deeper skin tones don’t have as much of an issue with redness Also the elf correctors and the LA girl ones are amazing and last ages.
@@gamerlife1763 it was better for medium brown skin- but honestly, the shades looked different in the pan- when i tried them in real life, only one or two worked for me- its better to invest in MAC, Ben Nye, or Kryolan- otherwise, you can make your own colour correctors by mixing in a red pigment or blush with your concealer to correct darkness, or purchase some pigments by LA girl that are very affordable and mix in/ layer them with your makeup. I also like the essence colour correcting palette for brown skin, as it doesnt have a white base so it doesnt look grey or ashy no matter what your skintone is
hi Haley! I don't usually comment on videos but this video was fantastic. I love that you show the different tones of the color correctors. I think it would be even more helpful if one day you could show us a video of people with a variety of skin tones and color correcting their discoloration, showing which shades and tones would and wouldn't work. love your content as always ❤
@@cattrainfit8393 i’ve been using it for a few years now, i’ve noticed no pilling over a primer (ELF putty primers for reference) but there is some textural difference between formulas, green is a lot harder than salmon for example. this may be because i’ve had it for a couple years already tho.
I've been using that Nyx palette and love it. I don't always use corrector like you said for everyday makeup. Mostly because I'm lazy lmao. I usually use yellow instead of green for the redness in my face because it's lighter and blends easier with my pale skin tone. But I use the salmon colour for my eyes as well. The key is not using too much. A little goes a long way with most makeup products, but especially colour corrector.
Its literally so heart breaking how hard it is to find medium to deep color correction 😣 This videos was SUPER educational tho!! Thank you oh so much!!
Demi (a subsidiary of Seint). You'd probably need a colour match by a pro to suggest correct Demi shades - but if Fitzpatick type 4 "could" be Demi 03 (peachy orange salmon), Y01 (yellow for deeper skin tones), in addition to 05 & 07 red ochres to adjust the 03 as required for darker purple spots in under-eye. I trust Michelle Spieler for color-matching. It's free and she's a 25 year Film & TV Pro. Cheers & hope you find what works best for you! ❤
Haley, can you make a video of how to use blush on and how to make different image by using it? I'm always unsure if I place my blush on correctly and I want to create different image, but I'm afraid of messing up
❤would you share what makeup products are wearing in this video? Your complexion is impeccable- I'm wondering what foundation/blush/eyeshadow/lipstick you've used, thanks!
i’m so glad you posted this! i bought the nyx palette after watching a few of your other videos, but it was way too light for my skin! happy to learn about alternatives! thank you!
Your content is always SO refreshing. Thanks for the explanations ! I purchased the NYX color correcting palette and it's been a game changer for my under eyes. Thanks so much Haley :)
hey haley! could you do a video about the products needed before a makeup routine? ❤️ there seems to be so many like serums, sunscreen, moisturiser.. it’s getting confusing! which products should i invest in?
This year I went to Korea and when I went to my personal color. I was so confused because there were so many concealers and didn’t know what to choose, and I just get so stressed and thanks to this video I feel I can try it now!! Thank you so much cutie 🔥♥️
thank god for this video 🙏🙏 i knew i had to learn color correcting somehow but nothing on any articles helped me. will try out the nyx color correcting palette once it arrives!! 🤞
I was thinking about your videos and you posted.... 😌😌 .. I live in India.. and have a pigmentation on my left upper lip area since a long time.. I am not dark but in summer I get tanned badly so I have bought a liquid orange colour correcter because I sweat a lot in summer 🥵
Hi Haley! I was wondering if you could help me! I’m new to color correcting but I understand color and how to mix shades and which areas need what shade. I don’t have too much to color correct but I am also 33 with sort of dry skin and looking for something that is nourishing to the skin. I have very light Asian skin tone (like shade 17) and I was interested in the saem color correcting wheel but another video said it was too dark for fair skin tones, is that true? What color corrector would you recommend that has good usability and ingredients for the skin? Thank you so much for your thoughtful videos Haley ❤

Hi Kim dint see any recommendations in this video for people like me with light skin and dark melasma on what tape of color correct you suggest for this cover
I need help covering blemishes that have dry flaky skin when they're healing. A concealer that matches my pale skin tone makes the peeling skin more obvious!
Haley can you please make a video on how can Cool Olive skin wear warm makeup like peach or warm nude without looking ugly with the green mustache showing OR skin looking dull?
I want to get the dasique palette, but after watching your video. I want to get the Nyx one . Which one you recommend? I use it mostly on my dark circle
Hii what about wet n wild concealer palette? It's the only brand that are in store near me or should I order online for nyx color corrector? They're on similar price
Hahaha omg the nyx one, i have the exact same reasoning for it also if i have a model and not the correct foundation, i sometimes go and use the green or yellow to mix to get a good foundation too 😂
Thank you so much for such an in-depth explanation!!! I never got into makeup during my earlier years and am trying to play catch-up now. Super helpful! Subscribing ASAP 😊
Best for last !!!!😂😂 please try the lunar and the wakemake one too!!!T.T/ i search every where but no review, and only you do both korean and western brand
