Best fight. Difficult, and a welcome challenge at that. He never ever shows himself until the end. Unlike Sloan, Ash, or Kane who show themselves out of their cockpits to make a gesture, Viper stays inside. His DOWNFALL is his lack of hatch. While any good sniper could easily snipe Sloan or Kane for an insta-win, Viper knows the danger and stays guarded. He's 90% professional, only stopping to point out your weakness to him.
Ash was the next best villain after Viper. The rest were a joke. Ash was so annoying with how she spammed an army at you and tried to destroy the facility you were in. It was so satisfying to beat them both but, I was wrecking Ash the whole fight except for when she closed the distance on me and stabbed me one time. I lost almost all my health from that skip up then finished her off with a melee move.

I did it as the standard Monarch class. Had my own personal challenge on my 2nd run through on Mastered. First time on Mastered I ran Tone and Northstar. Opened up with North, got solid hits on Viper and Flamey Boiz, then mopped up via Tone shield and rocket spam
Salt Did a bit of testing, the only difference is that viper has unlimited flight, his core makes a different sound and the missiles take longer to hit you
Northstar got a buff recently; her dashes recharge faster now. It's a pretty big help if I'm honest. Also, I recommend the Thrusters perk since it lets you move faster while flying. It basically turns you into an attack chopper when you use Flight Core.
Gg guys gg unlimited flight and increased speed.... but those are the only things I really wanted... I get that it's OP but it should've been in frontier defense as an aegis upgrade.. how bad ass would it be to have extended flight for atleast 15-30 seconds coupled with the 'Viper Thrusters' kit
Viper is basically an Ace from ace combat, he’s calm, cool and determined to end your adventure right there, the pilot calls he uses just further reinforce that.
3:00 the first time you experience this in the campaign it's such a rollercoaster. One of the absolutely coolest scripted scenes I've ever seen in an FPS
Beat him on hard as well after about 2-3 tries. Beat him solely with Tone but I recommend using Northstar/Expedition so you can hit him from afar, then using Tone for Salvo Core.

It took me forever but I just used the missile gun. I hid behind cover and stayed locked on to him, as soon as he used his special attack, I fired. I tried every gun and that's the one that worked for me.
I just wanted to remember why I liked him so much. I can't even remember how hard I struggled against this boss, but now it's coming back to me. I forgot about that damage output.
To put things into perspective, Viper worked for a mercenary Titan pilot corps the Apex Predators who were hired protect Ares Division that had a mountain sized superweapon that was going to blow up the planet Harmony which was the Militia's headquarters. A lot was at stake so his death how ever sad it may have been, it was necessary in order to save many more lives and as a mercenary, Viper knew the stakes of his job. At least Viper died doing his job as professionally as possible.
Of course...in easy difficulty...because in master difficulty viper always stay fly and always have the missile master attack...very hard...and his precision is 200% secure...impresionant the curve of dificulty in this fight

Imagine being such a professional bounty hunter as Viper, who’s more professional than most of the Apex Predators. And you die by a rifleman who got promoted to a pilot like last week. Again, Viper had years most likely training in his Titan.
I like having firestars the most in this game, I love throwing all 4 as soon as the cockpit opens on Viper so he's dead immediately and burns for what he did to BT
Viper is the only Apex Predator that really put up a fight. First he gets shot down by Cooper and BT, and comes back. He then body slams BT into the ship and has a pretty good fight with BT. Finally, he severs BT’s left arm and only goes down when his hatch is blown off and he is shot by Cooper. Badass. Not to mention, Viper’s the only Apex Predator that doesn’t open his hatch during his intro, which implies he has good tactical thinking and doesn’t expose himself unnecessarily. Meanwhile the most that Kane does is say “I won’t die” when he’s dying.
Ugh this pisses me off I had to kill him. The most badass character that’s ever existed in a video game for me. This predator is amazing. Special thanks for Hyper who animated the fight at the end.
