I never listened to Integrity, so Poison Idea and Negative Approach were their own bands independent of eachother. But they’re absolutely two of my all-time favorites. Got to see ‘em both in Dallas, and met Jerry A. and John Brannon. Both super nice awesome dudes.
Poison Idea and Negative Approach is my kind of Punk. Agnostic Front and Gorilla Biscuits, too. My favorite hardcore albums are Zero Boys Vicious Circle and Adolescents blue album. Since you are in Houston any chance you can interview the guys from Really Red or NCM? You have a good show by the way.

The reason why people associate Poison Idea with Negative approach is because of Dwid Hellion, he has said in multiple interviews the foundation of integrity is those two bands.
Ok, that actually makes sense, Integrity was HUGE to us down here for many years and Dwid has influenced many of the TXHC bands. And we all love NA and Poison Idea.
Never thought of POISON IDEA & NEGATIVE APPROACH as being much like each other but I will say this about them both. When you hear them you know exactly who it is. You do not have to say "who's that you're listening to?" if you come across someone playing either band
Thats also true. But yeah, I always think of them together. Kind of like i do NOFX and Rancid. They don't necessarily sound the same, but they represent the same thing to me. Or at least they did.
@thepunkrockreview Sorry no offence cos I can tell you're actually a good enough guy n that but NO FX have always & will always suck. I'm not someone who just doesn't like them. I HATE NO FX I HATE FAT MIKE EVEN MORE. RANCID at least know how to make a decent tune.
@@thepunkrockreview i'm a perfectionist which can trigger OCD like behaviors. i never buy plain black vinyl anymore because i've damaged records from excessive cleaning. i only use a very fine micro fiber anti-static brush
Outburst, $60? i got that record when it first came out. I actually think it was sent to me because i used to do zines back in those days. So i have the "Together" 7" compilation on yellow vinyl. I got it when I was a kid. Still got it. I also have "Start Today" LP on purple vinyl with embossed lettering. Got that when i was kid also. One of my all time favorite hardcore records.
Man, old record prices, ESPECIALLY punk and hardcore, get absolutely insane. They're small press numbers and incredibly desirable still. It's amazing to watch, honestly
That Agnostic front if its the 2018 pressing its an "official bootleg" basically they got the rights back for it so they have been re printing it themselves and selling it at their merch table/webstore.
I ship all over the world! Let me put em on my shelf for a week or two and see if local folks want them first and if not, I'll ship em. Go check out my IG so you can check back if you want to. They'll likely be here still, i just want to give my local folks first chance at them. I think the BFB is sold, btw. Shoot me a DM and I'll try and remember to msg you in like 2 weeks?

i rarely clean my 7" inch records. HC record at the moment: Negative Male Child 'little brother' (1995).

Probably records, though, comic buyers are actually worse than record collectors in my experience
