- As 2024 draws to a close, it's time once again for one of the most time-honored traditions here at Hodinkee. Each year since 2013, we've asked Hodinkee team members to tell us about the single watch that saw the most wrist time during the previous year. We call it "The Watch I Wore Most," and more than anything, it's an annual celebration of all things watches and the memories and milestones they represent.
Happy New Year from the Hodinkee family to you and yours. We hope it was a good year for you in terms of watches, and all the things that matter to you most.

The 2nd guy with the Blancpain is an absolute legend
Agreed!! I want one but they are soooo overpriced in the UK
Coolest watch by a mile.
@@teammacnamara5320 One of the most perfect watches ever designed imho.
Jason Heaton is indeed a legend. Grey Nato is arguably one of the best watch pods out there. (Alongside the great James Stacey also).
Entirely! In a world of now Cartier and Rolex sport watches, it's nice to see a Blancpain in the mix.
"Back to Basics" "Minus the hype" Gold Daytona Le Mans 😂😂
what ajoke
again it is all about hype... 100%
isnt that watch around the 200k mark?
@sunnybwoy4547 more
He is a clown. Hodinkee is so out of touch.
Hodinkee family is shrinking
Family is shrinking.
That Berneron Mirage took my breath away. What a master piece! The Otsuka Lotec reminds me that art should never be created based on what people will like but rather on what the artist loves. It's phenomenal. Thanks for sharing guys.
Benyamine Clymer so full of himself! Federico should sit on him in ‘25 and shut him up for good!
Jason heaton!!!! Happy to see him included!
This one and Teddy's one are my end of year must-watch videos
Wow, that Serica is a great looking watch, and I kind of like the fact that the name is omitted from the face.
The Mirage is such a wonderful beautiful object.
“Hello. I am Yu”
Had me there for a sec.
Happy New Year!!!
My faves are the Patek & Cartier. Classic watches never go out of fashion.
Huge congrats to James on the Editor and Chief role. Some fantastic time pieces and memories, looking forward to what 2025 has to offer.
Thank you so much all😊
Yu knows how to make the boss happy 😂
Le Mans is the sickest Daytona ever. I woulda did the same
So great to see the whole team, including from Japan! Wonderful video Ben and everyone🎉
A nice mix of people and watches. No hate for the high end pieces just like there is no hate for those for the more budget conscious. That’s what this hobby is all about. I personally started “low” and over the years have been blessed to able to go “high”. Nothing wrong with either! Happy New Year!
Perfect!
Happy New Year Everyone 🎉 I'm not sure which Watch i wore the most but I'm glad i found the Watch community and made some great friends and memories .
Quelle surprise!! 😂
Starting out with a TGN bang! 1. James 2. Sarah 3. Jason...
Nice Hype Watch Ben!! ❤❤
Some nice pieces. The pick of the litter is the '67 Carrera.
i've got the black version and I confirm the date window location simultaneously solicits both frustration and a wry smile....
And yet they repeat the same mistake again recently with the new releases 😂 love the watch tho.
😂no

These kinds of watches are the most exquisite.
Ben = smug. Love these videos!
So Ben has a 200k watch but still puts out that sweet 144p quality segment? C'mon dude
I understand if some people wear watches without setting the correct date or moon phase. But if you’re wearing a watch without setting the correct time, you’re not wearing a watch but a decorative bracelet.
That’s fine though. They are jewellery after all. I always set the right time but my wife wore her (quartz) watch for months before telling me the battery had run out. YMMV.
That’s why Malaika is my least favorite person in Hodinkee. It’s nothing wrong for covering jewelry aspect in the watch industry for your job but when she said Rolex is not luxury on recent podcast, I lost it😑
And in this video she said something like not setting the right time on her explorer, it’s all jewelry for her now. Better leave Hodinkee and work for fashion magazine woman 😒
Precisely.
Its like working for a car magazine, not knowing how to drive and then buying a car because to just sit in and listen to music.
I feel sad for that watch
James, we love you but we know it was actually your Pelagos 39.
some great selections here ! happy new year ! Also @Jason Heatley, you know Jacques Coustea wore a Blancpain 50 Fathoms - before COMEX haha
good job sir
That was fantastic!
Ben Clymer and his G-Shock & Daytona.. Good lad.
All the trips these guys are taking, and here I am making 100 grand a year and still fighting for my life 😂😂. Got to love America. You guys have some killer watches though for sure! Hodinkee must be paying good to be able to afford $40,000 watches.
Very cool selection. Glad to watch this!
Great video y’all! 🎉❤
I have the longines hodinkee piece. It's amazing
Fav video of the year starting with my fav, James. Instant click
I like these type of videos, so much so that I’ve created a spreadsheet to track which watch I’m wearing each day. I usually cycle through my watches every 1-2 weeks so I suspect they’ll come out about even as I have 4 watches. Sad I know.
Love it.
"This watch is everything I love about watchmaking minus the hype". Yeah.. Go get the white gold rolex daytona - 100 anniversary le mans because it's all about the watchmaking. Not the hype! ❤🔥
Love the FF of Jason Heaton!!!
The watch I wore the most this year was the Erebus Ascent Purple fume. The second most worn is the POEDAGAR Patek Philipe Homage in emerald Green . If I could afford it it would be the Omega Speedmaster white version . I live in the Australian State of Tasmania and we don't have a Rolex store in the state which is good because I am not attracted to any of them and I am not like my Father who owns 5 of them , but never wears any of them ........lolol He wear a VC
Man I want that Hodinkee titanium Longines Zulu Time 😫
same
No eye rolls from me Ben Clymer. Great watch!
I agree i don't know why Ben gets as much flack as he does I'm a fan of Hodinkee & Ben.
Really nice Seiko!
all giving main character energy.
John Goldberger is a sketchy guy. Shocked Hodinkee would have him on this video
😂😂😂
It's not like Hodinkee itself is some bastion of integrity and respect.
How so?
@@jarrodclyne707He’s been connected to people and watches called into question by folks like Perezscope. But he’s a major figure in the industry and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
@@jarrodclyne707 Just google Perezcope john goldberger.
The Berneron from J.G is a flex. Cool watch though.
9:58 - I saw this watch today on eBay for 250K. Stay safe.
In the past, people showcased their personality and individuality through their choice of phones and cars. However, since the introduction of the iPhone in 2008, nearly everyone now owns a smartphone that looks virtually identical. Similarly, as cars transition to electric due to regulations, they are losing much of their distinctiveness. I strongly believe that in the future, mechanical watches will be the last significant item people can use daily to express their individuality and personality. Hopefully, media outlets like Hodinkee will play a key role in ensuring that future generations continue to value and enjoy mechanical watches as we do today.
Well Said 👍
I think clothes are a big one for expression of individuality too and I can’t see that changing soon really.
Tudor Black Bay 36
As an avid listener to TGN I would not though that Jason’s most worn watch was the Blancpain. FXD yes, Blancpain no. As for James, definitely the P39. Guess they’re not being honest here or in the podcast.
I think it’s just them being on brand for Hodinkee, a business. Remain calm.
@ ha-ha. I’m pretty calm Ronnie! And I totally agree. But that’s the point. Instead of being honest, they try to promote Hodinkee colabs and Blancpain as a sponsor for themselves and for Hodinkee. Instead of telling what they really wear the most. So the whole thing is pretty pointless.
@@hansakselos4636fair. I choose to believe that TGN is the real deal.
Although I still hope for a return to the pre-pandemic article form of the The Watch I Wore the Most, I get why it's more apt doing a video versiom instead Also missing some old-timers who have since left... Jack of course, Stephen, Jon Bues as they always had interesting picks. Having said that, I wish Ben, James, and the whole team Hodinkee the best in the coming years! Cheers!
P.S. My most worn for this year is probably my Rolex "Pepsi" 126710 BLRO in Jubillee i own more interesting watches but it's the Pepsi that has been my default when I don't have a specific outfit and timepiece to match in mind.
IMO Goldberger Wins. 2:49
😂Big Flex
didn't ben pick up the yellow gold lemans as well?
Why do so many watch people talk about going on "adventures"?
Citizen solar diver black with xl colareb leather strap in grey. Cheers
funny when hodinkee president say " minus the hype"
I’m sorry Ben, Daytona Le Mans is minus the hype? Not sure about thaaaat
I only wore my blue caliber 9605. I haven't taken it off for three years. 😂
Nobody wears Omega or AP??😮
Eye rolls.
show off Ben
Some of these job titles would lead me to believe these people could barely afford a Seiko or a Longines. But here they are wearing Blancpain, Cartier, Rolex, Patek Philippe and so on... Do they really make that much or are they in debt to their eyeballs? Anyway, some I saw really cool wathes here. Absolutely love the Habring. Goldberger's pick is out of the left fiels as usual, but that's a cool watch. Not a G Shock fan but that Ben Clymer model was pretty nice. And I love the fact that someone would actually wear a yellow gold PP as a daily.
Petty doesn’t look good on anyone.
@Judah.Rosenthal Indeed, that's why I'd never feel that way.
How much a person makes or doesn’t make is none of your business. People are here just sharing their passion among others who like the hobby, zero need to take things toward personal income.
@@rabelosancho By all means, spend whatever you want on your hobby. How I make my own personal observations is up to me.
Well, there are exactly two levers you can pull. You can increase income or lower expenses. I would guess most of these people have done the latter barring the executive types. They probably don’t have killer crazy cars (if they even have a car), or crazy nice houses or apartments, or designer clothing. If you keep your other expenses and luxury trappings in check then watches, even luxury ones, do not have to be bank-account-shattering purchases.
It really depends how rich you are... More relevant would be... What would you wear everyday at different price ranges...
250k watch ok ben
In what universe is a white gold Rolex Daytona “back to basics”? Seems divorced from reality.
You must be new here lol
Genuine question. I am seeing so many people claiming that John Goldberger is sketchy but no one is explaining why, am i missing something ? He seems like a good guy with an outstanding collection.
Google perezcope john goldberger daytona. It's all about fake watches and shady auctions. And not just one instance either.
I tried to reply but they deleted the comment. Just use google. :)
Check out some of the articles written by perezcope. He’s been shilling franken watches for years.
Whats a explorer 1? Ppl never learn
They have an Explorer 2, so why not say its the Explorer 1? You probably get tossed when folks mispronounce aluminum, huh?
@@urbanracer032 It depends on the spelling.
So you couldn’t decipher the watch she was referencing or are you simply a stickler?
G Shock!
Totally ❤❤
Is Hodinkee even relevant anymore? Having a dubious non staffer with a Berneron for CHF 61.000 on doesn't help the brand.
John Goldberger does not work at Hodinkee. He is a man of immense and undisclosed wealth. He is very sketchy but he is not a Hodinkee employee.
Longines Spirit Zulu. Does it have enough to push the Black Bay Pro out of my wishlist? Hhmmm
“Minus the hype.” *shows a watch there’s only 100 of on the planet.*
Mailaka Crawford.... Will you marry me? BTW... Watch I wore the most is my Rolex Explorer 1 (ref: 124270) first watch I ever bought from an AD. I love it.
A watch guy who started a watch channel and calls a watch a washe! Jokers!
That GShock is shockingly ugly.
And the ATL on the bezel area is a gentle reminder of the Crown & Caliber torpedo that sunk the S.S. Hodinkee 😂
@@heljestrandyea isn’t ATL the same time zone as NYC? Lol
@@heljestrandlmao true, really didn’t age well.
