Would absolutely love the Golf. My first car was a MK4 GT TDI 15 years ago (with an R32 bodykit on it)! Mapped and modded to the hilts and even took my driving test in it! 2 minors! :)
Just blew the engine on my weekend fun car (Rx8) so I'd worship the GTI! P.S. I'm a dreamcatcher!!! :)
Calv, black/dark wheels are now really played out an overdone. Silver is now the new black and I think they look bang on 👍
First of all, I love you and your videos. But I must tell you, your acceleration are fucking bad with most of the cars. 🚗 😅
Leave the wheels silver and get it lowered with spacers 👌🏻
It should be the clutch that’s pushed in to start. The switch under clutch pedal is faulty so Renault used a back up brake pedal switch so the car will start and not leave you stranded. Only a cheap £10 part . Go grey for wheels btw 👍
I’d do the wheels a dark metallic grey they would set it off

same here. in my own opinion, i think black wheels only suit dark coloured cars. black, grey, DARK blue etc.

That gearbox sounds mint barely any delay in gear changes

Old Williams models were little rockets. Loved the colour too with the gold wheels. Not seen one of those for a while tbh.

Anthracite grey wheels are the way to go on this and a blue 12oclock stripe on steering wheel and 2 blue hand grips either of steering wheel to match
The car could do with spacers on the back and the clio R.S 197 spoiler and she would be perfect for planet of dreams Calvin.
No Renault developed the drive and tracks and spent millions don’t mess with it, it’s a drivers car
The Clio RS is a different fatter body shell to a standard mk3 great cars I love my F1
Calvin you need to get an MG TF on the channel. I picked on up 3 days ago with 63k miles… I’ve put 300 miles on it since 😂😂. It’s a blast to drive

You should get the Recaro Bucket seats that were with some 197s
They go for about £1k second hand so probs not the best investment for this car.
brilliant stuff Calvin 👍 I'd say these cars are more about the handling and grip than outright speed, saying that i pinned mine the other day on the slip road and it did enjoy the exercise! 👍👍
My EP3 has smoked a MK4 and MK3 Clio RS. Numbers mean nothing. Still, the Clio's are great fun to drive.
When the cars are this similar on paper, the difference between the drivers is all it can take. 🤔🤔 I have yet to race an ep3 so can't comment from my experience tbh. I can believe the ep3 might be a bit faster in a straight line, but as soon as it gets to the twisties the Renault is top of class.
lovely looking car that RS Clio, I rekon a gun metal silver or a similar colour dark grey etc, great video as always calvin,.... is that hump in the middle of the roof some kind of oem roll bar or something as if renault knew there clio's would be tracked so much

Great wee cars, always had a soft spot for the sporty clio's and Megan's. Please leave the wheels silver and just do the repairs that you talked about. My son wants that exact car when he's old enough. 3 years to wait before he can drive. Keep up the good work 👍

@@dmoney6388 nice one, just watch out for the common faults or it'll be expensive. 💪💪 Trust me that smile never goes away, I've had mine 6 months and 6k miles now and when I see it I have the same childish grin as I did when I picked her up 😁😁😅😅

15/20mm spacers on the wheels, keep them silver, a pair of chrome exhaust tips and some form of subtle spoiler 👍🏻

I think I’d leave the wheels the same colour, definitely needs wheel spacers though 👌🏻
fastest way to get rid of the fantastic handling that double ball joint front suspension provides, it was specifically designed to work the best with the factory rim offset.

@@Barnzy213 I dunno man... To be fair aroumd the corners iv heard they are good and type r traction aint the best but that k20 is just so dam reliable
@@Nadk2010 the Clio handles much better is slightly faster and doesn’t rust. Can’t beat Honda reliability though but rust is a big problem with them.
@@jamie3499 I've heard the ep3 having problems with it's gearbox as well. But the K20 is basically invincible

Eh hardly. They weigh about the same, have about the same peak power and the Clio has more torque and gets to the power band sooner. 🤔 🤔 I've raced an FN2 but it was literally no contest, I had the worst tyres ever lmao and couldn't go more than half throttle in 1st so I didn't stand a chance(I'd not long bought the car and hadn't had time to change the rubber). Ps4 tyres now, just waiting for a Civic and I'll see what happens 🤷🏻♀️.
I’ve raced an EP3 in my 197. Absolutely nothing in it. Clio 172/182 stomps them both lol

I drive these when new it’s better than a type r ep3 in power delivery but type r would be a better long term runner. I didn’t like the Brembo 4 pots on there are the car nose dives excessively and tramlines under heavy breaking
The brakes are amazing at rotation. I agree with the tramlining, but the nose dive means the brakes can be used to make you faster with weight transfer, its so easy to rotate the rear around a corner using the brakes. 🤔 🤔 But it doesn't make it feel quite as stable as some might light, that's the thing with these they don't ever want to go straight.
Put a cup spoiler on it
