Nobody wants to be enslaved by a damn high elf
Spartan War118 Thats the point! i also hate the thalmor, if i have the choice, as leader of the school of WhinterHold i wish i could stop the war and unite Tulius and Ulfric against the Thalmor, i hope we can destroy them in ESVI
you miss the point of the civil war. if the empire loses everyone loses. if skyrim becomes indipendent then the empire stand no chance if the thalmor attack again... okay not if but when.
Holy Jesus, how is this not have its own series on netflix or something yet? The history is so detailed. I'm playing ESO at the moment and was happy when i saved Vivec City, but then saw this video and it was like "Oh Vivec city was demolished, and Vvardenfell became a shithole because of the meteor" and I'm all, ".........Oh" (insert Curb your enthusiasm theme) (-___________-!! )
Something you forgot about Oblivion is that the Hero of Kavach became Seogorath in the Shivering Isles DLC which is 100% canon and after he freed Jigalag ( daedric God of order) from his curse to be stuck as Seogorath untill the greymarch. But the video was still good
A common misunderstanding people have and is completely understandable how they think that way but the only events that the dragonborn does is the main quest, the dawnguard dlc and the dragonborn DLC but all the other events also happens by Unknown people so the emporer was still assassinated and the pygic order met with the to be arch Mage about the eye of Magnus but none of these people were the dragonborn but completely separate people.
We cant tell what is cannon or not till the next game comes out. But I can see the Dragonborn doing the main and Dragonborn DLC though. Also maybe solving the Civil war quest line
Wrong, Piano. Bethesda themselves said that this is how every questline in Morrowind and Oblivion are canon. So, it's not much to think that they'll do the same for Skyrim.
AntiSkillshot ... You didn't read what I said did you? I said all the quest are canon the main protagonist the dragonborn only does the main quest line and the dlc's all the other quest are done by no name adventurers
Or it's a mix, like Sheogorath IV who may be the Hero of Kvatch. He mentions Martin, a severed head, and a fox. But not a tree or a ghost. "...Apart from that Martin fellow, but he turned into a dragon god and that's hardly sporting. You know, I was there for that whole sordid affair. Butterflies (the room where you first meet Haskill), blood (Blood of the Daedra/Divines), a Fox (The Grey Fox), a severed head (Dark Brotherhood quest), and the CHEESE!! To die for. (What the old Sheogorath used to talk about.)"
Gotta give the red guards in hammerfell credit, they’ve been holding off the Aldmeri dominion well. If my brother nords in Skyrim would’ve helped the empire rebuild, it would be easier to beat the dominion
Not bad, but you made a few mistakes, don't worry, a lot of people make them. the -'J The Native uprising in Markarth happened in 4e174, they were left to rule it for 2 years before efforts to retake it began. The Native uprising was put down in 4e181, the Markarth Incident occurred "not long" after this (no date was specified, it may have been the same year). Ulfric was not the Jarl of Windhelm until after his release from prison after the Markarth Incident, his father the Great Bear of Eastmarch, served as Windhelms jarl
Well, Madanach was captured and control of the city was returned to the Empire in 4e181, that's what they call the uprising in question, they aren't being figurative as in its an uprising in their hearts that will last 1000s of years
vuk djuraskovic the overall lore of the elder scrolls makes the silamrillion look like child's play from the creation of everything to the current events the elder scrolls lore is crazy and that's not even taking C0da into consideration the lore becomes badshit crazy for example having vivec giving his head to maruns Dagon his head as they have inter corse or how the redguard people sidestepped literally had metaphorically from the end of time of there time line to the beginning of time in the current lore.
HiiPER MaaDMaan that's because is the work of many people and many may years that's why, while the silmarillion it's the work of one, and not so many years, which is amazing, I love both BTW, no need to fight
HiiPER MaaDMaan look that was sarcasm upthere, I wached to 4 mins and then skiped this clip. I haven't even finished the Silmarillion, and that's because theexplaining in the book about about complicated structures/buildings, places of towns, where is what is really complicated. And I think that you haven't readed the Silmarillion either. So I don't want to fight.
3:58 The Nerervarine (Playable Character in TES3: Morrowind) destroyed Lorkan's Heart. This is where the False Gods of the Tribunal (Almalexia, Sotha Sil, and Vivec) got their power. They felt they could be better gods for their people than the Daedra...namely Azura. They betrayed Nerevar, killing him, and used Kagrenac's tools (Sunder and Keening) to tap into the Lorkan's Heart for power. After the Heart of Lorkan was destroyed, the Tribunal's power slowly began to fade. So, Vivec didn't disappear due to a "Lack of Faith." He disappeared because his divine power finally ran out. He probably went somewhere to pass away quietly. He spoke many times about trying to finally die. _"Count only the good days. For mortals, they are too few." - Vivec_
Well actully almalexia in the sceme to marry nerervarine killed him when his gaurd was down with blade through the back when he was going to destroy the heart how ever sotha sil and vivec didnt really know what came of him stated to them went to travel the world never seen again years later sotha sil (best friend) found out the reserection of nerevarine and truth his friend was killed in secert all those years ago in a fury of rage more at him self that he blindly didnt notices he then uses his ablities to construct a army to march to alamalexia but she made the first move killed sotha sil to absorb his power in hopes be enough to kill nerervarine left for dead so she though left him there but his creations helped wired him into his constructs he then sent forth his legions on full on attack reserection nerervarine didnt know defended the city as went on to seek answers finds out sotha sil was killed by alamalexia or likely caught in the act (she went back to finish him off)the fight broke between them alamalexia knew if nerevarine ever came back she was powerless at her state to stop him thus reasons why she fortify her base with as many fooled heavy armored troops she ended up dieing to nerervarine blade last her thurst of power broke and act her mercy repared her city before turning to ash
@Preston Castillo: The use of a "Period" is crucial in constructing sentences. It makes it easier for readers to read what you're trying to say. It's hard to take someone's opinion seriously when you have difficulty understanding them. www.grammarly.com has a convenient app for Google Chrome and other browsers that point out many grammatical errors as you type. I've found it very useful when writing articles.
This lore has so much details and events that makes warcraft lore easy to understand. I started to get lost the moment you guys mentioned this Umbriel and the disappearance of the moons. Two things I just heard by rewatching this video (yeah one time wasn't enough LOL). I don't want do underestimate your work, It's really impressive what you guys made with all this information. But I hope Shoddycast series makes it less confusing to understand all these events.
"...Make high fantasy epics like The Silmarillion look tame..." WTF?! The story J.R.R. Tolkien made is the best fantasy story in the world! No game, story, movie or whatever, can compete with it!!
It's just to give potential fans an idea of what to expect... I know she missed a ton, got names and dates wrong, but honestly, for someone who clearly never played the games, she did pretty good, eh?
Wikis are unfortunately quite unreliable, I tried correcting a few blatant mistakes only to have them over turned by the administrators who, rather than going by in game lore, sought their information from another wiki... now i'm not saying wikis don't get a lot right, but peppered in there are a lot of false "facts"
Would be cool if in the next game some NPC tells ramdom stories about "The last Dragonborn", like his fight against Alduin in Sovngarden, his leadership of Dark Brotherhood, his skills being the Arch mage etc. He could even be considered as a semi-god or a God, along Thalos.
3:14 : "Talos or Tiber Septim as he was originally known was the first emperor of Tamriel" Yeah... I think they forgot the Alessian, Reman and Ayleid empires ...
You have forgotten the part, when Dragonborn joined the Ulfric, re-established the empire under new Dragonborn dynasty and swept Thalmor from the face of the earth, spilling so much Elven blood that it drove them to near extinction in the same fashion as Ysgramor did. Then they burned and razed to the ground all Elven cities, worship of Talos became prominent cult in the Empire and Dragonborn became the second human who became divine. Then he woke up and realized he really made it and was happy with his doings, as the genocide of the Elves was for greater good.
They pronounced Helgen right. In the game they mispronounce it. Skyrim and Nords are based on Scandinavia. The way she pronounced Helgen is the proper pronunciation in at least Swedish I don't know about Norwegian. Helgen literally translates to Weekend.
But what’s the canon ending to Skyrim? Does the Dragonborn kill the blades or Parthunaux? Or does he just lie and say he/she killed Parthunaux and keeps it secret that he still lives. Does the Dragonborn Become a companion, the dark brotherhood, the thieves guild, a hero of the dawnguard, an evil vampire, the hero of Solstheim? What happens to him in Canon?
Jared Kun because this is a series where they explain video game timelines in 15-20 mins. If they explained every little detail it would take forever. I invite u to time yourself, and reply to this comment telling and explaining in detail the full timeline. They aren’t fans of the series, just a TH-cam channel trying to get people’s attention.
You guys can't pay attention, this video actually gives the Timeline of Elders Scrolls, the Eras between Oblivion - Skyrim. In the beginning of the video they even say that it would take forever to explain the entire Elder Scrolls Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim with all of its Lore. It would be a video of maybe 5 hours.
You guys totally forgot the part a little bit after the events of the Oblivion crisis where the hero of kvatch basically became the new sheogorath after the original sheogorath became jyggalag and began the gray March but was defeated
I wouldn't rely on this vid for the Lore... it gives a base guideline, but gets many details (and dates) wrong.... but over all, it gives a relatively good base understanding of the major events within its time frame
For those complaining Bout not giving a complete timeline, I believe this is a series they have. And this Is a episode revolving around the time between Oblivion and elder scrolls
Maybe she didn’t write the script? Whoever did could of atleast told her before posting it on yt how to pronounce some words.. I blame whoever wrote the script.
You lost me at the mention of Silmarillion... I love TES lore and it's complexity, but honestly... Don't even compare it to silmarillion. J.R.R. Tolkien wrote it alone, and his son put it together. It's impressively complex for one person to come up with by himself, and compared to TES lore it's far more consistent. I just wouldn't compare the two in the first place, given that one is a classic literature masterpiece, and the other is a successful franchise of fantasy games.
I have, but that's beside the point. There's a team writing that stuff for TES, and it's inconsistent. Lots of plotholes. Silmarillion has little to none, and it was written by one person. I just think it's a dumb comparison.
@@MadBasist Technically the simirillion is just a collection of his writings. Also TES is intentionally contridictary as it has unreliable narrators. Simirillion also has a few plot holes
Idk if it's a bug but in the thumbnail it shows Skyrim and ESO before Oblivion and that's a HUGE mistake as the Oblivion crysis is mentionned in Skyrim meaning it take place after not before the crysis and ESO is 3000 years before skyrim.
Orion_Qc Constellation where did you get 3000 from? From the beginning of the second era to the beginning of Skyrim is barely 1,500 years and ESO takes place on the middle of the second era
It's actually theorized that Alduin is not dead. The reason being is that the dragonborn never had absorbed his soul. This could result in alduin coming back in the future after he recovers his physical form.
The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim(special edition,) is my first ES game and I can say you don’t need the other games to play and understand what The Elder Scrolls are about so, if you’re looking for a RPG game, Skyrim is the game to choose; in Skyrim, you’re told just about enough about Oblivion and Daedra; Daedra are “evil,” and you can read the scattered books throughout Skyrim to catch up anyway OR you can find a video like this but I came here, mostly for Skyrim and I’m currently level 52, I play as a Nord who is “Dragonborn,” and I chose to be a vampire but I’ve recently come across a quest where I can cure my vampirism(which I’m not interested in yet,) so, I’m doing miscellaneous quests/side quests until I max out as much as possible before curing my vampirism. Lastly in Skyrim, for new players, there’s a bug you should be aware of: if you choose to side with Stormcloaks, you’ll have a quest somewhere in Solitude with a NPC named Aldis and it’s about a daughter of someone but the girls name is Angeline(Aldis is glitched begins solid walls and you cannot access this quest,) so to save your time, choose to side with the Imperials OR at least get this one quest in particular completed BEFORE “Liberating Solitude,” and BEFORE “Liberating Whiterun,” which means you’re going to war with both Whiterun and Solitude and some other holds, taking sides with Ulfric Stormcloak. So I highly recommend doing just a bit in Solitude BEFORE choosing a side between Stormcloaks and Imperials. You may also want to do this quest with Aldis BEFORE making council with The Greybeards about the dragon problem, as Dragonborn. From here, you’re free to do what you want and eventually side with Stormcloaks this clearing your game save and achievement score from this glitch/bug.
@@eltonj888 molag bal doesn't have a definitive gender but he can alternative between two genders and he did sleep with vivec as a man. vivec bit his "spear" off, at some point was headless while having sex, and they engaged in a great deal of kinky sex. when his head returned to his body, vivec then teaches molag bal a ritual involving oral sex, which unfortunately (when done en masse by their respective followers) causes the land to explode into lava and crazy monsters to appear. funniest part was that while vivec consented, molag bal had no idea whatsoever and was surprised to discover that he had memories of screwing vivec. they talk about children, banging, and marriage in sermon 12 and above.

Long live to the empire!
Vice versa for me
I liked the imperial armor (and even played as an imperial)
But once i figured out why we were fighting nords
I quickly changed sides
To be honest, i do not hate Imperials or the empire
I only hate the damn thalmor elves
So i say this
Why can't imperials nords and even redguards work together to battle the thalmor and put them out for good?
Nobody wants to be enslaved by a damn high elf
Spartan War118 Thats the point! i also hate the thalmor, if i have the choice, as leader of the school of WhinterHold i wish i could stop the war and unite Tulius and Ulfric against the Thalmor, i hope we can destroy them in ESVI
+Davi Ramos well of the next game is in valenwood or hammerfell, we may do just that

Something you forgot about Oblivion is that the Hero of Kavach became Seogorath in the Shivering Isles DLC which is 100% canon and after he freed Jigalag ( daedric God of order) from his curse to be stuck as Seogorath untill the greymarch.
But the video was still good
Nice spelling!
This is truth. This is how everything in Oblivion is still canon.
To die for. @Preston Castillo: The use of a "Period" is crucial in constructing sentences. It makes it easier for readers to read what you're trying to say.
Look Into the deeper stuff of TES, it's far more complex
