The whole concept of being “triggered” has roots in an old idea regarding teaching and learning in K-12 schools. That idea is that developing “self esteem” in students is more important than teaching/ learning or the students’ answers being correct. “Self esteem” was built by never contradicting students … meaning that teaching was removed from school and replaced by self-affirmation. So, now, it is not surprising that students are upset when their views are challenged or contradicted. Psychologists now know that the “self esteem” approach is totally invalid, but I see it continues to be deployed in schools.
Exactly my thoughts. Specially with the idea of basic income and travel restrictions ( related to limit the carbon footprint, green energy etc narrative)
This should be played at schools around all western countries right now. Sadly, and mark my words, unless each and every one of us stands up for the truth and fights for our freedom today, we soon won’t be able to watch discussions like this on youtube.
"Not having problems is actually a problem" is a great paradox. One of our core values is overconsumption from binging Netflix to something simple as the way we speak. We talk about corporations being the problem yet we continue to consume said products. I think that the problem paradox gives us purpose. I have met a lot of people who tackle problems because of validation or purpose. Yeonmi has a purpose and that is to be a voice of service for her people. I think many of us lost what it means to serve people.

It’s because people have open minds & know about false equivalencies. Wokeness is a problem but once she starts talking about “white people” shouldn’t be responsible for their ancestors it gets ridiculous..well if reparations are given perhaps one could take that stance but if not, people don’t want to hear silliness & her intellectual credibility plummets ofc it’s from her perspective but others are taking it another way for sure.

And as Yeonmi said, they say these things, yet they do not leave. I believe they should all go to a socialist country and live there for a year, if they can survive that. Or better, go to where Yeonmi escaped from, North Korea and then China. IF they survive, I'm sure they will have a change of heart. It is a odd human phenomenon, that those who speak endearingly about socialism and communism have never lived under those kind of governments and those most vehemently opposed to socialism and communism are those who lived it.
The same is true of Capitalism, except we ignore how many times the Rothschild's owned Banking consortium keeps robbing us blind with their build to burst economies that keep stealing away our civil liberties and all of our freedoms. America is a plutocracy, not a real democracy. Wage slavery to these foreign banksters is far better in Amerikkka. Fascism is on the rise globally due to these capitalist banksters robbing all nations with their build to burst free market economies. At least we have the illusion of freedom here, it makes us more compliant wage slaves. Remember always that the golden cage is even harder to escape than the rusted cage is. America is the golden cage, North Korea is the rusted cage, at least the rusted cage can be escaped, people in the golden cage don't even realize that they are in a cage because it is golden and shiny. It looks freer but it is a much stronger prison. With the illusion of freedoms. They never even try to escape it. At least the rusted cage is an obvious prison which can be escaped because it is poorly maintained. No one escapes the golden cage. Because they cannot see it is a cage.
