What's to make fun of here? It appears they extinguished the fire through the windows with one small line in a short amount of time and with minimum equipment.
@@JB91710 what would the game plan be if the fire was on the third or fourth floor? Second no one was ready to go inside, even with the hard cut in the video no one was even getting ready to go inside. On the right side of the video you can see some smoke coming out of the windows above a doorway, unsure about euro construction but it looks like a stair tower to me, which would suggest the apartment door is open, shooting water into a window like that will make that hallway extremely uncomfortable for any victims.
@@cfl941 You're basing this on what, 30 seconds of edited footage? Typically, Fire Engines in Edinburgh (nay, in most places) carry 6 firefighters. We only ever see 4 different firefighters in the video. So.. what do you think, were the other two abducted by aliens upon arrival or do you think maybe they went inside and/or are doing something behind the fire engine where we can't see? You can very obviously tell this is nothing like the US fire scenes, as ours actually got out and did something instead of just stand there and wait for 7 different chiefs to arrive. Just because you can't see two people doesn't mean they aren't there. Hell, even if there is only those 4 firefighters, at least the reason they didn't do things properly is because they didn't have enough people to do things properly, and not just because they couldn't be bothered.
@@Perseus7567 lmao a 4 man engine is more then capable to properly start an attack on this fire. I will admit i too, would be nervous if i was force to crawl down that hallway with a garden hose.
@@cfl941 The fact that you call it a 'garden hose' tells me that you do not know what you are talking about. It is a high pressure hose reel, and they are more than capable of dealing with heavy fire loads. This fire was contained to the flat it started in and the resident was rescued by firefighters. The crew of the first arriving fire appliance did start an attack. That is exactly what this video shows.
@@duffman5z Because of the clean cab policy im sure. At least the crew cab is clean of carcinogens and they can breath in that lovely toxic smoke because the BA sets arnt easily accessible.
They got it done quickly, safely and with a minimum of equipment and personnel and you think that they are cowards. Oh, you mean they should have risked their lives unnecessarily, so they looked more like USA heroes. I get it now.
@@Chrispeacock1212 Except for the fact the data shows that in ~80% of US residential structures fire damage is contained to the room of origin. Of those that are not, ~50% the fire damage is limited to one adjacent compartment.
Really smart to keep some leafy boughs between the camera and the action.
And that first due engine parked in exactly the wrong spot.
Thanks buddy
Why did you stop the video so early?! There was far more going on, I’m sure.
Sorry , I still have other footage on my phone , I will upload soon
@@gf.channeltwo weeks later still haven't updated the footage.
Pump always parks where the ALP needs to be 😫
Too much editing to know how long that actually took or if it was only extinguished from the exterior.
"Whiskas Full Of MEATY GOODNESS" 😹😹😹😹
A fire fighter extinguishing with a garden hose... Certainly the infamous British humor, I guess.
Its one of the high pressure hose reels/fast attack line
Why leave that hose reel on 50lpm? Big water needed fast…
Yikes, and all i ever see are people making fun of American fire trucks in the comment sections lmao

How slow did them firefighters exit the truck..in your own time🤦🏻♂️
smooth is fast
I hope my car doesn't get any ash on it, i shall file a former complaint to the fire service.

I'm guessing he is talking cut a hole in the roof to allow the rest of the building go up 😉
Euro FD's and their little garden hoses 🤣
US Fire Dept usually take 5-10 mins before getting hoses working. UK get job done in seconds.
Until they bowl out the 70s and 45s. The houses are burnt down by the time yanks get water on😅
Found the outdated arrogant yank! Suppose its better than needing armed police and bullet proof doors in our schools.
