Thanks man! I used to make beats all the time so I have a decent supply if needed, but it gets really sticky with copyrights and I’ve gotten flagged for using peoples beats before so I just use a subscription service for royalty free music. I appreciate it though!
It’s definitely way gnarlier than it used to be, but it’s still got its little pockets that remind me of the old SF from the 90’s/2000’s. They just priced out all of the cool people and the ones left are just left without options. It’s pretty fucked up :/
Bro the quality of your vids are skyrocketing! Your videos get me so hyped to go skate and as an older skater myself your progress on the board is inspiring bro. Keep it up 👍
Thanks so much, dude, I really appreciate the feedback. I’ve been trying to get better at editing and finding out stuff as I go as far as filming so that is really validating to hear. Thank you!
I knew someone would come through with the name! Thank you, I’ve heard that before too but couldn’t remember what it was called. Such a dope little spot and there’s always a crew there having a good time. Wish I had a local hotspot where people met up like that.
You would love it. I didn’t skate the long double sided curb because there was a whole group of dudes having a session on it but next spring I’m gonna go out there early and try to hit everything.
Yo much appreciated, Leon! Hopefully Cali and the whole US can catch up to the amazing parks you guys have over there. Much of America is still stuck in the 90’s for skatepark design.
Great skating as always (manuals for days!), and yeah; never leave home without a tripod. I have my skateboard/scooter “go bag”, which always has my tripod, wax, pads, helmet, and tools.
Banger, the fakie swervy ledge lines were dope, really snappy bank tricks as well. Also the up 3 down 3 at 1:55 is no joke, lot bigger in person. Cant wait to make it back to Frisco one day
Dude I wanted to at least get a manual or a 5050 on that spot but there was hella folks just lurking around it. If you’re ever out this way lmk man we can go skate some bullshit 👊
Not this time, the day was pretty short because I had to get back on the road and it gets dark so early. I visited pier 7 in one of my earlier videos from about a year ago though. One of my all time favorite skate spots!
Go early if you can. It was hectic at the plaza when we were there. It’s in the shape of a horseshoe so you gotta be really careful because people are coming from all over the place and you can’t see if you’re gonna be in someone’s way or vice versa.
Sick video and channel my man. I'm also in my 30's getting back into skating and the channel gets me hyped. Curious what kind of camera you're using? Especially those still zoom in shots look pretty cool if it's set up that way with the tripod how you get that going.
Thanks dude! Glad you’re getting back into it, it’s definitely been a journey since I picked it back up 3 years ago now. I just use an iPhone 14promax and the zoom stuff is all done in editing 👊
@@dadboard the journey is the fun part! Thanks for the tips on the filming! Back in the day we used to have to buy the digital video cam. Phones have come a long way with video quality.
Idk if it’s gonna work long term but they have these security guards walking around sorta trying to keep the crime in check. It was nice to see people with their kids out skating and stuff but the homeless and drug user population was basically just hanging out right outside of the barriers. We can’t just build skateparks and expect the mental health crisis to solve itself, but more skate plazas being built is nothing but a positive in my book
That first one under the bridge yes. Those curbs are ridiculously fun. Super easy to get into slappys on those things. I can’t BS slappy for shit but on those they just locked in right away.
Plaza skate parks need to become normalized. Would be nice to see an even number of plaza to regular skate park styling. That way both competitors would have a place to go and “soul skaters” can go to the spot. I'm 34 myself and wish we could skate together someday. It's hard as hell finding friends that skate at our age as well, or people that have the time and motivation to get out there regularly.
@@dadboard totally! When I got mine I switched laces right away. I recently changed it up to black laces, but decided to go back to the white....fresh white laces. The look down, feel good factor went back up, lol.
That was such a good doc. It’s not the _entire_ city but Andrew did a great job at exposing the underlying issues that have led it to become what it is. It’s gnarly, man. At one point we were standing in the middle of a street at an intersection and we were just surrounded by people screaming at nobody and walking around like zombies. People just laying in the middle of the sidewalk looking dead. It’s really bad in some areas. I tried not to include it because it’s a pretty big vibe killer 😞
@@dadboard I think that's in Austin about 2 and a half hours away. There are some good parks and spots out here too. Most of the concrete out here though is NOT skate friendly whatsoever. You gotta really want it if you're skating out here.
So lame someone went over his N with some wack fairy character too. He was such a style master, him and Reyes were probably my favorite duo for that era.
More like pricing everyone out so the only people left are either ultra rich or completely destitute. Our entire country has a massive mental health crisis that isn’t gonna just go away on its own but everyone wants to act like it will just fix itself. We need to fund mental health treatment in the United States and it’s gonna cost a hell of a lot more than this plaza, the homeless and mentally ill epidemic in San Francisco is just a symptom of a much larger, nationwide problem. This is just to brighten up the area and make it more accessible for people and to ward off crime. It seems to be doing what it’s intended to do.

Nice lines man!! Plus a bit of jazz 🎷 nice 👌
Let me know if you want some beats to use?

that plaza actually looks amazing, nicely Intergrated to the plaza.
It really is like a seamless extension of the surrounding architecture. They did it really well
Another sick video. “A lot of different experiences” in San Francisco 😂🤣That’s the best line I’ve ever heard someone use to describe the city.
It’s definitely way gnarlier than it used to be, but it’s still got its little pockets that remind me of the old SF from the 90’s/2000’s. They just priced out all of the cool people and the ones left are just left without options. It’s pretty fucked up :/

been watching your vids for a while. Keep it up! give us late 30's skaters some motivation to keep on kickflippin
Hey thanks you, man! Really appreciate that. That motivates _me_ to keep going too. 🙏 🍻
You got me missing my little city, it can be a lot of fun there just don’t get lost.
Just found the channel & immediately caught a vibe; keep killing it🔥💯
Yo much appreciated! Hope you dig the channel, man. I try to keep it relatable and as non annoying as possible, sometimes it works!
Jazz and shred - so good
This plaza looks incredible!
It was a lot of fun, can’t wait to go back in the spring and have more time to skate
Been thinking about making an another trip to sf this spot looks so perfect especially the slappy obstacles!!!

👍 sesh dude. That plaza with the red bricks was sick af ( big bank). I’d be there all the time! I like music you chose too. I’m motivated now

I wish we had more plaza style parks in NC
Im in nc as well! where are you from?
Same in Sacramento, man. Less mega bowls and wild transition more plazas. City’s need to catch up
Great footage. looks super fun. that last line was sick!
Excellent color coordination
lol thanks man. Look good feel good skate ok 👌
Alright looks like a blast!
I need to come to Cali, these NY winters suck worse and worse every year and I’m 38
Yeah it gets chilly but we don’t get _cold_ the way y’all do. Cali isn’t perfect but it’s definitely got its upsides in terms of climate.
Damn dude, enjoyed this video heaps! Loving the editing style, that plaza looks amazing and that fakie flip on the bank was beautiful 👌🏼
