@ shoot. This whole time I’ve always just dogged on spray lacquer. Never thought of layering the two. Gonna have to give that one a go on the next curb
My favorite thing about skating today is the popularity of curbs. Idk about you, but by the time i first picked up skating in 02 or 03, itd been AT LEAST ten or twelve years since they were common in pro videos and were seen as just something you only used used as a beginner and stopped skating them once you could get on a ledge. But in my eyes, curbs amd banks are the two funnest things to skate
Thanks man, I think my new years resolution is to work on more switch stuff. I always avoided it because it felt uncomfortable but I’ve actually been having fun kicking around a few little switch tricks here and there lately
I keep thinking about prepping this one spot I found because of yours vids, haha. It legit has a ramp pathway to ride in on and two long curbs/ledges I can prep. Slopes downward and can pick up speed fairly quickly but there's some environmental hazards that can easily lead up to losing a board, and is also in the parking lot of a business... Clearly I'm still thinking about it though.
Dude, I'm 38 and still can't slappy. Haven't really put too much time into learning them. But could you maybe make a video on how you learned them and what works best for you? And if you've already made that video and somehow I missed it, could you reply with the link in the comment? Thanks homie, always enjoy the videos.
I got you, man. I’m no expert by any means but I think I could maybe provide a little insight to what I’ve learned over the last couple years of learning slappys 🤝 I’ll probably dive more into that type of content over the winter when it’s harder to go explore for spots and make regular videos
So jealous of Cali curbs. Here in SC no curb has any angle and they are all super rounded on top. They also don’t attach to the road there is a giant crack then like a foot of curb ground between the asphalt and the curb.
Trying to figure out if those curbs are wider than I expected or your trucks are narrower than I expected? I can’t skate the curbs near my house anymore because it fits between my wheels and the grass catches my wheels. I used to skate 7.75 with 7.5 trucks and now I skate 8.5 with 8.75 trucks so my wheels no longer sit on top of the curb
Dude, that painted curb with the rocks looks nice Living in the desert, I’m always looking for a spot with trees. Unfortunately, the better looking spots with curbs are schools (which I just don’t want to be hassled)
Keep killing it, babe. Your energy is infectious and your love of nature enchanting I love you. 🐝
9:54: < beep beep beep > "DAD BOARD!" - ha ha, how sick is that?
Still wondering who that was 🤔
Out there doing the lord's work! (those curbs won't wax themselves) 🙌🏾
Dude I just love this channel
🙏
Skate and Destroy 2024🇺🇲🇺🇲
lifted my spirits by jack'n a parking block from my boss.... super heavy but *superfun!*
keep killin it my man! wholesome vibes
Get the roll / brush on laquer for spots like that looks less suspicious
Good idea
That Dad Board shoutout was sick!
THANKS FOR SHARING BROTHER 🙏
Get the behr wet look sealer. More cost effective, way more stealthy, and works better i.e. slides for days
That’s what I used for these but normally I go over that with clear lacquer for extra 🧈
@ shoot. This whole time I’ve always just dogged on spray lacquer. Never thought of layering the two. Gonna have to give that one a go on the next curb
Yo! I feel like I have seen you hanging around my cousin Johnny Diego(RIP) back in the day. TH-cam suggested your channel and it is rad!
I knew Diego well. RIP 🙏
Great vid and vibes as usual, my man.
If it’s a church, go to their website and go to the events or calendar. That will tell you days that are good to go there.
Solid nollie heel. I can NOT do those lol. Thanks for the good Sunday morning watch bro.
Thanks dude, appreciate it!
Good vibes bro 🤙

Thanks man! Doin my best
Love the Airplane reference lol
Sweet spots! Did you find the glasses?
@@mateusds909 no unfortunately not. He circled back and I gave him directions to the nearest dollar tree so he could get some new ones though

That’s shit matters! Much appreciated, my dude! 👊
Them switch flips was🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

@dadboard I love skating switch. It's sooo much fun.
Damn where did you score that sick ass hat? Love cool little stuff like that
Some little smoke shop had it for like $7 and I snagged it right away
Cali has unreal curbs y'all are so lucky
Yeah not gonna act like I’m not spoiled rotten. I do appreciate them though.
"What have you done," indeed. America just decided to crash out 😭

Doooo iiiiit
why not apply the lacquer with a paint brush?

bro, good work.
@@lorenzojoneson thanks man
sick lines
Steezy skate Dad 2024 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 have you ever tried paraffin wax? Me and my buddies used to use it back in the day and it made ledges super slick.
Yesir that’s what I’m using here. Gulf wax 🥇
8:31 yeah same dude

These are 8.5” axles. Love 8.75 but don’t have any af1 60’s just yet
Oh yeah then those curbs are definitely wider. I got some 8.5’s and they’re too wide for the curb too. But 8.25’s are fine 🤷♂️
What is your current board setup? I'm thinking of buying my first egg. So just curious.
9” generator blank symmetrical egg, AF1 55’s, 54mm F4 radials, pepper grip 👊
@@dadboard Thanks man!
i totaly get that wibe thing, if a spot dont feel good/cool/safe/fresh i wont skate there. if the wibes are off so am i.
It would be sick to get you on Curb Warz
Love that show. I’d get mopped up but I’d try lol
WHAT SHOES CAPTAIN ?
Easier because of the ants, LOL
Fo sho you'll want to Steel Stik those expansion joints...give yourself at least 24' of curb!
Definitely! Just didn’t want to put _too_ much work in without knowing if it was an auto bust first. Coast seems pretty clear so far
Trust me you’re blessed Florida is trash for curbs
Ga is the same way i dont think ive ever seen a good curb in my city
If there’s needles, used condoms or broken bottles, it’s rarely going to be a great spot
not necessarily... those spots have no kick-outs.

@@RedBoard86 school parking lots are usually pretty mellow as long as you go when nobody’s there, but I feel you.
Shoe gooe is a life saver haha
