Anyone else here just to see what the color turns out to be????????
100%
Skipped right to the end lol
Yep. Me.
Yes
!😂
@@fabyb6306Yup. Should neutralize some of the orange
Thanks for being brave and venturing to color "outside the lines". Everyone wonders what we can get away with when straying from the instructions. Your contribution to popular understanding is much appreciated! 🙏🙏🙏
I just wanna say thank you for posting this!!! I put a blue toned light gray permanent hair color on top of my orange hair and it turned a cool toned blonde!!!! So much better than bleaching and it worked!!
could i please ask which brand you used and the name of it?
Maybe not the result you wanted, but your hair looks so pretty. I love the color transitions. Great video!
Silver is too light, a level 9-10 depending on the shade, could even be 11-12 if just platinum level toners. But your hair is a mix of tones from a 4-5 brown to a very warm 6-7. Therefore silver is too light to effectively tone down your hair. It did a tiny bit, but if you want the Orange out, you first have to decide what end result you desire to achieve. Then you need to lighten your hair to be even or darken it to be even. Then you can tone it with the proper level and pigment.
Yeah 100%, kinda learned that lesson the hard way haha. In the past I've only bleached it to a certain level (lighter than the L'oreal achieved) to colour it with a bright pink or purple. It's a pity cos I loved those colours but I think the brand (RUSH) has since gone under.
@@MundaneAdventuresWithMagz You sshould try the Brad Mondo XMondo Color 😃
Just a question I hope you reply!!! Buttt my hair is pale yellow like a baby yellow would silver bring that yellow down? Someone said to mix it with 20% developer and it should get rid of the yellow and turn it white like my other part of my hair. Idk I don’t want to mess it up I need help been doing research for days and your comment comes close to someone I need to help me, for reference I have the exact same sliver as her. Help… I can’t get toner till I can never had yellow roots before so I never thought of getting it with the rest of the stuff… 😢
@@camarokefalas3926 did you try purple shampoo?
The color is MUCH improved. I am a mediun-dark ash blonde who is only greying here and there but mostly going transparent. No color to it at all so it's invisible and I look bald. Trying to find a shade that reflects my natural color but they were all too golden. Went with silver last time. Hair isn't silver but it looks great! Toned down the golden and put in the frosty highlights I had when I spent summers in the sun. The roots even blend in so there isn't such a distinct line of dyed and undyed. My hair was so dirty when I dyed it silver that I wonder if it kept some of the dye from being as effective. Getting ready to use the silver again (Nice and Easy, a new shade for them). Wondering if it will be a little more silvery this 2nd time using the shade. This is all new to me. Nature girl here. If I wasn't so short it wouldn't bother me so much that my cowlicks and transparent hair didn't make me look bald on top. Everybody sees the top of my head. So my fragile, thinning hair gets colored for the first time ever at 65.
Keranique shampoo and conditioner helped my thinning hair just don’t use it all the time.
That came out to a pretty strawberry blond at the end 🥰
Put some drops of Gentian Violet in your conditioner and it will turn kill your yellow right away turning into ash color. I follow those instructions from a YT video and and my red and yellow were tamed. My hair is ash tone now.
The final colour came out quite nicely. It's pretty. For future reference, the roots always process more quickly than the ends due to the heat from the head. It's best to do the roots last. The Hair Buddha has lots of good advice on his channel. Maybe you'd like to check him out? 🙂
I have watched 100 videos trying to get the best outcome results to help me make a decision on canceling out this brassy + yellow hair of mine and yours was the best one so far! Simple but knowledgeable and your results came out really nice imo ❤🎉 thank you for sharing
I love your color it looks beautiful with your complexion ❤
Looks a lot better ❤
Girl keep us posted with your hair SITUATION ❤ new sub because now im invested lol 😊
Lol me too!
It looks so much better I never would have guessed that it fixed it so well
I actually like your ending color. It’s really pretty.
Use direct dyes like manic panic , less damage, and works very well . Just choose the opposite color on the color wheel
It’s true that purple and yellow cancel each other out. Problem is that you mixed purple with red,not yellow. You need blonde hair to achieve the color silver. You didn’t have blonde hair at all. Or yellow. And It was different shades of orange so that is why it wasn’t even. You can’t expect a light color to cover two different darker colors evenly.
Haha yeah, I kinda figured that one out in the end and went with a bluish dye the second time I bleached my hair. I think it turned out much better. Definitely a learning experience!
@@MundaneAdventuresWithMagz Yes, color wheel, blue cancels orange. But the yellow parts will turn green so be careful.
Looks really nice and “gentle” now
Hi Maggie, just wanted to say thank you for this video, as I have been playing around with the idea of using that very colour! So, feel a bit more confident about it now. Of course, I’ll allow for the fact my hair is not yellow, but it’s great to see the actual colour of that particular dye!( purple base). Thank you once again! Brigid from Australia
When you said it's been 2 days, I knew this was the video I needed to watch. My hair is exactly like yours right now.
I love it! "Reads, wait, 2 wks, it's been 2 days, good enough," lol
You're my sister! I have done this too.
It’s a beautiful color it looks good on you ❤
Haha thanks Jesse
Very kind we need more ppl like you. Love a colorist lol
I just want to let you know it is very normal for your hair to turn yellow at your first attempt because your hair has different coloured pigments that dominate your hair and your must be red or a gingery shade, what you usually do is take the colour down gradually if you are starting with dark hair and wanting to go blonde, if you think about it, it makes sense. I just thought I'd send you this to let you know you did not fail and just needed to take a longer look at it. 😊 good luck with your other ventures
Looks much better, I was worried it may turn green on you. Looks so much calmer now❤
I went blonde a couple of times before and with dark hair u have to bleach it first and then use the hair color! But u got to go to a Sally’s beauty if u live in the states! If u do it with out knowing what ur doing then u run the risk of your hair falling out especially with using too much bleach! And dying it and then doing it again too soon!!
I fixed my struggle with brassy/orange roots this way: I bleach only the roots with a frost kit. The next day I then use my usual color (Ash blond). Loreal now makes a toner for blonds that cancels out 99% of brassiness between color treatments.
That’s good about L’Oreal now making pigmented toners.
To tone Yellow it’s Purple, To tone orange it’s Blue.
Looks much better! You’re so cute!
The color looks more natural now instead of clown orange, but it's gonna be tiring to keep it this way as it grows out. Always dealing a 2 process. Let it grow out a bit a streak it, that would be pretty with your natural dark hair. But do it professionally this time, then no mistakes or guessing. 😊
Love the end result
So beautiful with your skin tone!!!
U gotta put way way more Product to ur hair, that's 1 of ur problems. Girl I wish I knew u,I would love to help u out... can't wait to see what u do next❤
I guess in order to have your hair turn into grey color, you probably needed to bleach your hair once or even twice again (I'm Asian too, so I know a single bleach makes our hair go orange) until your hair turned blonde. Hope next time it goes well😊
You did a great job. You can also try using toner shampoos a few times to keep toning the yellow areas out. Over time the colour will change
Good of you to be a Guinea pig and let us see how this worked for you 😁 I have been wondering this myself after achieving that wonderful Lannister orange mane too 😂😂😂👌❤️
Always remember, tint won’t lift tint ever! You’re better off dying it back! Good luck 🍀
Dark color looks so much better on you 😊
"Can this L’Oreal Silver Grey boxed dye save my yellow orange hair?" - ofc no, but I'm still gonna watch
Your color now looks great on you and you fixed issue, why would you ruin it now with purple🙄🤯??
Not using enough product to fully saturate the hair will lead to inconsistent results and undesirable effects.
I honestly like your initial color! It goes with your skin color! I’ll watch more to see what happens.
try a blue based color in a medium brown which will take care if the orange
I like the light auburn she ended up with.
i just did a similar thing but i colour corrected it the next day with a brown colour. it covered very well.
Fellow Aussie here. Your hair looks great. You did well. 🇦🇺
I like it in this video. A preconceived notion can alter one's perception of the present reality. You may grow to like it as well after a couple of weeks.
It has toned it down a lot
Just use shimmer lights purple shampoo every time you shampoo while at the same time growing your hair out! It will be great plus not keep adding on more damaging effects to your poor hair!
The best thing you could have done was let a professional hair stylist color your hair. That's what they went to school for. It would have saved you a lot of problems. Lightening dark hair can be really tricky.
You need to find a blue based ash to cut that orange 🍊! 😂♥️😊
Love your humor
Don't care what some people say, I love the color!
I like the color it’s really pretty!
It went evenly you just didn't apply it properly........you apply it to the ends first and let it sit most of the time and when there is 15 ish minutes left you apply it on the roots as the heat from your scalp causes them to process faster......
if you apply on roots first and then the ends you get a un event results because again heat from the scalp make the roots process faster.....since the ends don't get much if any heat from the scalp.
Nvn g hB h..that’s only part of the problem. Her hair isn’t lightened enough for this color. She has to be blonde first.
I like when it said to wait 2 weeks after last color but she only waited 2 days🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s a pretty colour and suits you 😊
looks a million times better
When going to a lighter color bleaching most of the color you have on now , but leave a little color in, it’s like a sink if you bleach all the color of your hair color out the color you deposit won’t stay in long because it had nothing to grab on it’ll wash all out within a week so always leave a little of your natural or color treated shade in 😀 that box has 10 volume in it so thankfully you’ll get a little more lift , anything 10 or more is lifting 5 is depositing
That worked so well👍
I love the color ! I like the darker on the bottom and lighter on top.
You need to lift some of the orange from your hair to get that grey to work in your hair. I'd lift it almost to white, condition the heck out it, and then use this color.
They try to show people that it won’t lighten enough on hair that dark. With your normal hair color, you would have to use regular bleach and then when it gets light enough you would need to use something else to tone to a more pleasing color.
Bleach your hair at the back first start from bottom then work your way up an do your root last
Tysm for this. My bleached hair came out orange and yellowish after bleaching twice 😭 I don’t want to go platinum blonde so I’m not gonna bleach it anymore. Ill probably use dye like you did
I just bleached my hair and the only toner I have is silver so I’m super happy I found your video 😊new sub
it looks much better
It looks a lot better!
You also need to take small sections too! 😂🤍🍊
This result looks really nice on you
Artic blonde always took out the brassy orange in my hair when I bleached
BACK OFF PEOPLE! She is aware of what to do next time. She did not ask for your advice…too many snarky remarks! I personally love the outcome!
Well it’s much better than what it was
I think it looks lovely.
Your supposed to bleach your hair 2 or 3 times not once
Depends on the color you start with and desired color. Also condition of hair.
Some hair jus5 will not go blonde! The best that could be done foe me at an expensive salon looked like this lass. We ended up with fire engine red.
And use real bleach. Not a box dye!
I believe she did say that if she did it right with a proper bleach, it would’ve been better.
You have to bleach until the hair is fried, that's BS
It’s better than it was.
You should not bleach your hair more than once you will cause it to go slimy and fall out go to the professionals if you want to go light I see so many young women ruining their hair because they don’t know what they are doing I was a former hairdresser.
You need to add blue to neutralize the orange.
What about dying it a neutral brown in a shade darker than the color you have now?
It says leave it for 2 weeks so you leave it for 2 days😂 you are a true vigilante, a rebel flirting with danger just on the right side of the law😂❤❤❤
I want to start by saying that you’re beautiful no matter what ❤ but noooooo! You need to lighten your ends again, then go over your hair with a level 7! It would be like a beautiful light brown/dark blonde colour and would look amazing on you! Also, hello! Another Aussie! Nice to see your video! ❤
It was beautiful,a kiss from Brazil
OMG! I did the same thing! A freaken diaster. I ended up cutting.my hair in a pixie and a daily dose of purple shampoo, conditioner & anti brass purple mask. It's toning down. Thank Goodness 😮
I messed up on my hair in high school and turned it that bright orange color. Gosh I was so upset!!!! It looked awful 😝
Me too 😢 I had to go black to cover the orange…then I looked like a corpse 🧟♀️
To get rid of orange hair you need an ash color.
Make sure it’s a blue ash and not green
I really appreciated this video, ty! ❤
It looks a lot better
I have used this colour and got a very silver result, I you had used a "Cornwell" colour remover first, I think it would have worked
Yes it toned your hair in my opinion!
You must always start colouring from top before the back of your head
I sure hope so
Why do people want grey hair..never liked it on younger gals, naturally grey is beautiful but just don’t understand this..
Using Toner helps to releive orange/yellow tones.
Next time get black blue hair dye and mix with a clarifying shampoo put on hair. I don't remember how many minutes. There is a TH-cam video. I don't remember her name. But she had a parot in the video.
It looks nice x
Should've went purple to tone orange
I expect my hair to look like this after the first hair to be like this after bleaching even with two hair color removers to help plus 20 volume and baking soda to and clarifying shampoo lol
Should of rolled with the orange and make it cowboy copper cuz thays the new thing for winter. Cuz if you had dark hair you need to lighten again. Its a process. It took me almost 3 months of bleaching like once every other week and not using box dye anymore. Now that it finally is platinum i definitely dont want to go with a darker color for winter like alot of people do. Ill just use semi colors in between for the holiday of that month. But i also leave a lot of white out or dye the white to silver as well and it looks like a veil of white or silver. Now this month its silver/white at the top veil, jade green at the middle section of the back and garnet red in the bottom of it all. So basically it reminds me of red white and green candycanes and i love it. It turned out ao well. But to get the purple/blue out of my hair i did one round of color oops and that made the purple blue. Then i used loreal effasol color eraser and it knocked the blue out like it was never there. And i barely lost any hair.
Looks pretty!
I think it looks great.. strawberry blonde..
What she needed was a blue based color or additive. Blue, not purple, cancels orange.
Try L'Oreal R48. You will look like brand new person ❤
