The Dancer Of The Boreal Valley isn't fighting you for revenge, she doesn't even know Pontiff is dead, she is just doing what Pontiff was forcing her to do. She is believed to be a daughter of Gwynevere, though her heritage doesn't really matter anymore. The Dancer, Vordt, and the other Outrider Knights each wore a Pontiff's eye ring, which turned them into beasts. Also, bonus Irithyll lore, the Irithyll dogs are actually people, Sullivan's beasts are actually people, in short, everything in Irithyll is or was a person. Pontiff is the villain of dark souls 3 and almost anyone associated with him is his victim.

The consumed king went mad due to stuff and speaking with a certain scales dragon who you might remember from dark souls 1. Some people and bosses are more linked to dark souls 1 like path of the dragon is linked to a place and a person that was the first born of gwyn. You might remember seeing broken statue's in dark souls one or missing ones. Use path of the dragon at spot with a stone person dragon in the dungeon. Sorry if I rambled to much.
Very nice to see these games played by a newcomer - the fact that you compliment it with great animations make it even better! I definitely like seeing your perspective on the lore as well - I also wonder with what buffable greatsword or ultra will you go 🐸
I keep coming back to all of these; and I just finished my ds1 100% playthrough, and am starting my ds3 100% playthrough. I absolutely love watching you and seeing you go through the same things that i did in my first playthrough. im absolutely here for it. keep up the great animations and keep having fun.

Path of the Dragon is a gesture that will grant you access to a new area. You need to use it in a place with a good view in your "favourite" area so far. Recall where you found sth dragon-related
The pus of man enemies exemplify one of my few problems with this game. They are really hard to read! They are just a mass of limbs and tentacles, and they even have an animated texture. All this visual chaos makes it difficult to know when they are winding up for an attack, what areas around them are safe, etc. I have the same issue with the winged monkey things from Road of Sacrifices, and also [something you haven't gotten to yet].
i like the pus of man enemies because theyre tough and have strange attack patterns. it seems like they are meant to be avoided but i love a challenge. also theyre weak to fire and it can stagger them (black fire bombs are great) so thats the tactic if you dont want to avoid them.
Pus of Man sucks so bad. They're not AS bad once you learn their moves but because you have to get close to them to hit them it becomes so hard to decipher their attacks. Probably my least favourite enemy. Also, cool vid.
Yes I did, found Siegwards sh!t, gave it back and also I got the storm ruler aswell! (looks really cool but requires special upgrade materials and I'm not boutta refind 20 of those damn things)

@@mcspeedy dont worry about it, its ur first run in the game and the lore is hard to catch up, and the pale drake u killed deserved it, u dont know what he did to his people, just enjoy the game :D
pus of man is a weird enemy, I like it and think its good it's there but at the same time hate fighting it, too unpredictable. Just use fire arrows from the safe distance
I see, I personally found that interacting with them yielded nothing positive at all, and that I "feared" them due the tedious annoyance of the moveset and health sponge (which feels like a rather negative reason) rather than strategically avoiding them due them being a "proper challege" like a black knight. (which feels like a more positive reason)
oh I understand completely, I'm just a big lore nerd when it comes to the dark souls and love all the creative monsters and how they came to live. btw, the child of oceiros is with him when you find him, just invisible. he later slams ocelotte in the ground when he goes feral 🥲

(They were all bloated n stuff) perhaps they had an earlier form of it?
@@mcspeedy the pus is some kind of corruption stemmimg from the abyss, Manus had something similar happened to him so it may be a humanity warped by the abyss
@@mcspeedy the abyss goop on your weapons is a physical corruption from fighting with abyssal creatures/in the abyss itself. The pus of a man comes from the manus, when he was alive he was a very powerful sorcerer using very dark magic and long story short, primordial serpent kaathe wanted to make him a dark lord, but accidentally made his soul very angry and its power mutated humanity of people of oolacile and manus himself. Even though in the end he was beaten, his power didn't fade completely and still can cause this mutation. I'm not really sure why it happens in ds3 perhaps because the age of fire is ending and the abyss grows stronger?

I think you can interpret the Dancer as Irithyll's last stand or Pontiff's revenge, even if it technically isn't that from a lore standpoint.

Holy hell the animation is good! I like watching Dark Souls 3 gameplay as is, but that made it that much better. Keep up the good work.
