I would love an air. My Mini is a little restrictive to take outside of the home! Great video action.
You know, the pico and the Air are way slower than the Mini. THe mini has Gbps speeds. The new air is only at 300mbps.
So speed wise, you're good man. Also, the mini can run the same firmware as the Pico, and air. So you're good there too.
So, you're really only lacking in form factor - which to me - is less important that the speed.
If you really want to travel with it, you can stick a piece of velcro on it, and put it on the back of your laptop monitor, or something, and power it from a USB port on your laptop, or have it in a bag somewhere connected to a powerbank.
But yeah, don't succumb to that 'fear of missing out' man. For some reason, they're releasing this with a slower lan chip than the mini...which is weird. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2 big differences are USB-C and 3x the network speed.

I'd love to see a deep dive on the security of the DPN devices. I keep hearing objections to the DPN device saying it's vulnerable to a man in the middle attack. i.e. anyone routing traffic could pull your web traffic from their device. How true or feasible is this?
I like that idea! Everything is vulnerable at some point. There's no doubt about it, my Deeper devices are just ONE of my security measures.
You can change your location, you get privacy , you stop advertisements and earn crypto. The only thing you can't do is your taxes but you can do you taxes on it ! Come on people these are awesome. Your keys , your crypto, your privacy. Let's go.
I feel everyone should use a VPN but not all VPNs are equal. DYOR. If you put a pew pew to my head and made me chose which is more important between security vs privacy. I'd say security.

Can you still participate in DPN mining as this is a Wifi only device. How do you integrate this into a modem/router for full BW sharing ?
Me thinks this should come with a 'pig-tail' cable (or such) for those (usb) ports that are just out-of-reach.
You can use a regular USB-C extension. But you're right, it's not the right fit for every plug.

So it can't be plugged in the bottom of the phone? It has to be plugged into a charger .I have one butthey are going to get rid of the mining feature in a couple of years on my Pico I've heard

Having the c port I'd thought that would be tried first

That was my concern so I did test drive it in Mexico for 8 days. Hit 100 degrees with 97% humidity at times. It didn’t give out on me.
Thank you for the content Eric, may I please ask if you have any pull with the folks over at DPR...My goodness I have been trying to pull my first profits off after building for a year and I have been rejected 182 times as I have tried twice a day (almost 3 months). I have tried various times and token numbers(250 , 500, 1000 tokens) with none of it working...can it be the large farms withdraw via bots that exhaust the daily limits...And why not let the bots professionals fight it out from 00:00 - 19:00 hours and amateurs from 20:00 - 23:59 hours.....I just want a reason to speak well of this dapp and it's dev team....thanks
I gotta say that their discord… no TG group is by far the easiest place to get things sorted out
My main concern is I would want to disable sharing connections with anyone and eveyone, I don't want anyone else using my connection, nodes, or devices.
Deeper network allows someone else/others using the same device, to use your internet/network connections, etc. That puts you ask risk of allowing illegal activites from others.
I mean that's an option but you have plenty of control when it comes to blocking "bad traffic"

If you plan on participating in NPoW, then the Pico's are *OUT*, as they don't have the onboard memory to support this. So after DPN mining goes away, the Pico will be an DVPN only device.

I used one of these while living overseas, it was horrible! If you do full VPN, SUPER SLOW. If you whitelist certain IP addresses, you will be adding them constantly if you're using streaming like TH-cam TV. Do not believe the hype. Not enough users to support the "decentralized" VPN network. Not worth the money.
