I've just realized: The Characters talk a lot similar to Resident Evil Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles, Resident Evil 2, 3 and Final Fantasy VII Remakes.
Anise is new to someone like me who knows the original Seiken Densetsu 3.

@@bween9642 I know this is a 3 year old comment, but Crimson Wizard is correct. His name in Japanese is 紅蓮の魔導師 - literally: Crimson Wizard. Lol.
The fan translation called him Koren, and this was an error. I’m guessing they couldn’t fit Crimson Wizard, so they decided to go with the reading for 紅蓮 instead. But 紅蓮 is read “Guren”, not “Koren”. However, 紅 can also be read as “Kou” sometimes. Thus the translator made an error and thought 紅蓮 = Kouren.
Crimson Wizard is a completely accurate translation. Koren is a fan invented name and wrong for several reasons.
Note that they did something similar with 美獣: Bijuu (literally: Beautiful Beast), who was Bigieu in the fan translation.

The playable characters of Trials of Mana are kind of likened to Final Fantasy I-VI. The male ones are likened to the NES Final Fantasy trilogy. The female ones are likened to the SNES Final Fantasy trilogy.
• Kevin is likened to Final Fantasy I.
• Duran is likened to Final Fantasy II.
• Hawkeye is likened to Final Fantasy III.
• Riesz is likened to Final Fantasy IV.
• Charlotte is likened to Final Fantasy V.
• Angela is likened to Final Fantasy VI.

when the name "Genova" appeared on screen I thought "aw fuck i forgot about that thing"... it's a hard boss on the snes version... not sure bout the new one.

after play all. I think Grappavine is longest fighting boss cause you still not go on Class3. when on Class3 by far stronger than Class2 and that made everything very easy

behold, the original is millions of times better than a remake made with little time leaving many bugs, being inferior to the original 🙃

The original was full of bugs too. Shields, critical hits, and the entire Dex stat did not work as intended. Neither version is perfect, but the remake is a much smoother experience and probably closer to what the original devs would have loved to do if they weren’t limited by the hardware of the time.
