    This video reminded me of my younger days as a young man then in the late seventies or early eighties. We would buy one from a wrecking yard that still could run and drive but some kind of body damage would rule them scrap to the insurance company. You could see everything from under the hood and look up around the transmission to get out bolts and what not and just take that cab off completely to put some real old style cab we thought was "Cool" or long before the word "Sic". On went say a fifty model ford cab and stuff, along with some headers and dual exhaust pipes. It was a very common thing back in my day as I am nearly seventy four now. Thanks for that great memory J.C and Mrs. Thank you so much!

    I bought my daughter a 06 f250 with a bad 3v, now we get to pull the engine together and fix up the truck. I know sounds like fun times.

    Glad to see some parts be saved from this one. I guess I don’t really know how good we have it up in the Northwest because none of our trucks rust away like those in the “salt belt.”

    Factory Five now sells a tube frame kit that uses F150 cabs, might advertise on their forum

      @j.c.smithprojects  ปีที่แล้ว

      this IS a good frame. all you see is a thin layer that was added as an over lay. its a 2005 in ohio and its in one piece. that is a victory

  • @Chr.U.Cas1622

    Simply put pig fat/grease on the gradall. Then it will no longer squeak so annoyingly but only grunt! 😜😁 ;-)
    Have a nice day.

      @@williamkelley7654 even the best maintenance won't stop that POS from eating it's timing guides ,chains ,tensioners or cam phasers ,,gutless POS is what every one of those trucks i have ever had was ,, i've owned 3 and all of them were junk ,, 2 of them were 2 valve engines ,, and the last was a 3V and i hated it the most,, installed the 3rd timing chain set at 197K miles ,, and it blew a head at 199K for no reason ,,
      replaced that last F150 with an 02 chevy truck 2 years ago and it's still going with 400,000 miles on it ,and it's had the piss kicked out of it

      i have done more cam phasers, vct solenoids, chains, chain tensioners, guides, and upgraded oil pumps in these engines than most. never had to do it more than once. many people use the cheapest parts they can find. or beat the crap out of the truck. then wonder why they have to do it 3 times. quality parts and religious oil changes are a must. most times the issues are from poor maintenance. these engines require good clean oil and cant be run low. i have owned probably over 50 trucks with 5.4l 3 valve engines. I sold many to folks i know. they never had any other issues with the timing components after i repaired them. know of 3 pushing high 300k,
