- 24MM Flat slide carburetor versus NIBBI On a Predator 224
Did some speed runs with the Predator 224 powered Coleman CC100X Minibike with the 24MM NIBBI carburetor and then swapped the carb out for a 24MM Flatslide and did the same test to see if there were any differences in performance.

Man you know how to make it a good Saturday! My boy
Thanks!
I’d really love to see you compare a 24mm Nibbi with a 26mm Nibbi on the same engine/bike and see what the differences would be!
Brother your output is amazing and your technical is appreciated
If you clamp the hose clamp for the TM24 right at the end of the adapter, it significantly reduces the vibration to the carb and helps it not slosh out so much fuel from the overflows.
Thank you I will try that. Mine comes out to you overflow also. Seems like it makes it burn rich on the low end also.
had "224" thumbs up before I screwed that up and made it 225. im hooked thanks for the videos.
great vid best channel when it comes to data for all things for minibikes . Keep up the great work it is much appreciated.
Thanks, will do!
Excellent as always Any plans on comparison with the ghost 212? You'd be the one to make it a true -vs- review.
Thanks for the video! Wasn’t familiar with Nibbi carbs before watching. I had been struggling with what looked like a fairly accurate Chinese copy of a Mikuni VM22 on my mild 196 build. Tried a 24mm Nibbi with a jetting recommendation from another video (130/50) and it runs great! (1100 ft altitude)
awesome video, love the 224 content as always
Glad you enjoy it!
That Exhaust sounds amazing.
Great video Black66! That little bike is Moving!
Just curious what is the pilot chat and the main jet difference between the two carbs? Loving the hell out of this channel
I agree
I second that, my buddy runs a VM26 on his predator that he welded and decked the head, billet everything to make these things last. Also I know you are at elevation but posting up what jet sizes would be great for a starting point knowing which way to go.
Another sweet comparison black 66!
Nibbi holdin strong! Imo I would put it back on, plus it looks so much better on that cc100
Agree 💯
I asked for this happy to see the results
Your bike is fast.Great video.
Great videos! I built a 236 with a 28mm Nibbi.
It's on my old Baja Dust Racer (the green one).
It Flies!
Very nice!
What was your jetting on the 28 mm ? I have a built predator ghost . Having trouble tuning mine
What a great video. Makes me want to try a 24mm flat slide
Thanks ! I have some flat slide videos. Check out the playlist on the channel.
What was the jetting for the TM24, both pilot and main?
It looks like you live in Arizona🤔I'd drive all the way there from Springfield, Ohio, just to show you mine and advice on what to do with mine. I have a predator 224, and it 53mph but i think itll run 60mph with some adjustments.
I’m ready to see a predator 459 build up now lol
Did you have to get a bigger size foam filter for the flat slide.
Nice comps…what was the weather difference for the testing on each day?
I realize this stuff comes down to Altitude, temperature etc. Most test I do are on the same day. When I can't get it done in the same day, I will get conditions as close a s possible. I have tested these two carbs before. They are always very close in performance.
@@Black66 Nice…I was actually expecting better performance out of the flat slide on both ends. Was a nice surprise. Wonder how these engine would respond to a carb size up like a vm26.
I would put the difference in performance down to density altitude and temperature. They’re nearly identical.
If one isn’t much more expensive than the other, go with the one that feels the best to use IMO.
You mention density attitude, are you a pilot?
@@JimmyJimJimJames No, just into drag racing. It’s an important metric to consider with slight performance changes.
What if you shortened up that intake tube on the flat slide?
I wanna see you get one of the 40$ flywheels off eBay or the 224 kit off eBay.
Waiting for you to go to fuel injection and a turbo. Jk. Really love the analysis that you do and the detail you add to these tests.
Nibbi is significantly cheaper. I'd call that a win! Perhaps try the 26mm Nibbi next? Bolts up to the same adapter.
@Kevin I have a 236cc that has a dyno observed near 20hp with all the parts you mentioned. Promotes my Mega Moto 212 to over 70mph with the torque converter.
You can run these up to 310cc and use nitro methanol and with a billet cylinder head. You'll see near 40hp. That's the most I've ever seen on a dyno. That won the small engine builders competition this year.
@Kevin I use a 26mm carb on my 236cc. It's probably still too small. But the driveability is fantastic. Significant power increase over the 24mm I had on it before.
I don't have a 310. I have a 275cc. The exhaust valve is 28mm. That uses a 32mm carb. The jets don't compare at all since you need about 2x as much fuel with nitro methanol.
You also, have to jet a carb up for larger carbs as the vacuum signal decreases when the only variable is the carb.
@Kevin I'd get a 24 then. Or a Chikuni. Those work great with mild builds. Once you get bigger valves you can go up in carb.
I like to stay 4mm under the intake valve size. My 236cc has a 32mm intake valve but I used a 26mm carb. Probably a bit too small for maximum hp, but it has great driveability and throttle response.
Stock is 27mm so, a 24mm carb would be fine.
@@WyFoster wow, excellent info, thanks!!
Always make your intake as short as possible it has an affect on throttle response. More volume in your intake slower the throttle will respond.
I have videos on the channel testing long VS short intakes. Check out the playlist. Actually the long intake out performed the short in some instances depending on the set up.
Fascinating! It’s weird how each set up has its optimal way.
@@stubert38 Well not always. The short has beaten up on the long in a few videos, I guess it depends on the set up.
@@stubert38Its not really fascinating .Its the mini bike expert .He knows everyting!!! 👍😃
Would you recommend using a pwk 30 mm on a upgraded predator?
Even a half inch longer manifold can increase your low end torque just a hair for that better 0-30.
Check out the long VS short intake videos on the channel. I have a few! th-cam.com/video/8jqzsH7HjL8/w-d-xo.html
I like the Nibbi carb but I can't find the flanged intake manifold anywhere online? You bought everything from Amazon?
You can use a VM22 intake . You can find them on ebay or GoPowerSports.
@@Black66 Does it use Mikuni style jets?
What size jets are you running on the mikuni?
Awesome
I’d love to see a tuning video on a nibbi and a flat slide, I swear I use the same jets you do but can’t get the bike to run good to save my life 😭
I'm at 3700 foot elevation. I usually get away with smaller jetting.
@@Black66 ahh, makes total sense then 😂😂 I was like my nibbi sucks butt with a 115 in it 😂😂😂
@@Black66 gotcha, more than anything I can’t figure out how to perfectly align my rear mechanical disk break, like with the 2 5mm allen bolts, I just can’t get it centered to where the break works right, first time messing with one and I’m not getting it at all lol
Black 66 hey bud. I have a ct200uex what do you prefer a straight chain, jackshaft, or torque converter ?? Please respond.
On the big bikes I prefer a torque converter with a juggernaut driver.
@@Black66 thank you
What is your jetting for the nibbi? Specifically the pilot jet.
I just got a nibbi for my predator. 26 lb springs, mod2 cam.010 gasket, rod and flywheel 1.2 nr roller rockers cm pushrods what jets are you using?
Check out the 224 playlist. I use quite a few different carbs on this bike with different jetting. My Jetting will probably different than yours because I live at 3700-foot elevation. The Nibbi is running a 120 main and a 35 pilot
Great video
Hey man any way to reach out to u to ask u a few ?s trying to build a bike and don’t want to make any mistakes building the wrong motor!
Is that Nibbi made of plastic, or just powder coated black?
It is coated . It's a really nice carb for the money.
HI,Jeffry! NIBBI products always are High quality and good prices for customer! Thank You!
Stupid question bro but what jetting would you recommend for a 196cc 6.5hp with a nibbi 24,26,28
That is very fast. Almost as fast as my minibike 🤣
Your minibike moves!
@@Black66 But it needs a flat slide carburetor 🙂
I have a 212r tillotson with a billet rod ... Fire265 cam... Pvl flywheel... but I will be upgrading to a billet flywheel soon ..but I haVe 26lb valve spring...26mm nibble carburetor...I did 72 mph..on a Coleman CT200 ex... With a stock 50 rear tooth sprocket and a 12 tooth clutch 420 Gold racing chain and she was still pulling I ran out of road
What kinda hose is it that everyone uses to old the flat slides to the manifolds?
Bro do you have a link to the air filter that you’re using on the 24 mm TM 24 flat slide? I just got the carb in today.
I think it was this one www.ebay.com/itm/112531659171?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
@@Black66 thanks again brotha!!! Huge help
Parabéns show de bola 👏👏👏👏👏
did you upgrade the stock chain to a 420?
No, I use RLV Gold on Gold 35 chain
what tank and straps are you using in this video?
The tank I picked up on ebay. The straps are from the hardware store. I have a video I'm going to put out on it.
What size jets would I put for a 212 with a exhaust and air filter cuz I put both of them on with a stock jets and it wouldn’t start at all but the jets Are in stock carb are thick all the down the jet and the mukuni are thick then skinny so I need the thick all the way around jet size lmk asap plz n thank yu
😎👍
man I'm having some issues with my MK flat slide. constant fuel out of the bowl overflow tube even after float adjustments. has anyone had this issue? Might be thinking i got the one in a million carb where the bowl tube was installed incorrectly. i dont know what else to check. Even checked the needle and seat which work as they should. Love the content BTW keep it coming!!
gonna guess you live in the desert SW judging by your test area lol. Im in SoAZ!
I laugh a little every time you make a high speed run past your camera thinking damn that thing is fast.
i have one, they feel fast. thats what matters.
Hello. Would you be able to guide me on where to find a ring compressor that works for the Tilly 212? Or another way to ask is what size ring compressor do I need for the Tilly 212?
This one will work www.amazon.com/dp/B07XG12T3Z/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07XG12T3Z&pd_rd_w=fim8H&pf_rd_p=57cbdc41-b731-4e3d-aca7-49078b13a07b&pd_rd_wg=fHkZ4&pf_rd_r=5W35Y2YBPHC2RZTY3J86&pd_rd_r=ccac5062-c1fa-4da8-8f81-ed2316b3d774&s=automotive&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUE3WDk4NTVJNUhSQTEmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA2MDM3MzQyQ1IzRjAwMkhZMFc1JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA0NDE5NzNVUkJGMVE3UEIzTFomd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWxfdGhlbWF0aWMmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl

On the 224 it was in this video th-cam.com/video/FF7al9I2dns/w-d-xo.html
I love your vids I want to replace mine too .
Thanks! Both work really well
On your 212 predator
How do you connect your Head lamp on
30mm flatslide
Put up the Awesome videos bro! I'm trading my 3 bikes for a Harley Money! But i might get another mini.
A Harley and a mini would be sweet!
Does anyone know what app he uses
What mph app do you use?
I use digiHUD on the phone along with the camera GPS for top speed and a Dragy performance meter for 0 to 30
No offense, but what is the purpose of all this?
Having fun is number one! It is fun testing different combinations of parts to find out what works best. Check out the playlist on the channel. many more comparisons .
The sticker is going to slow your time cause of wind resistance ??!! Str8n it out !!😬
It depends on what the sticker says...😀
