I can't believe that it's time for her first driving lesson already.. time flies way too fast! Either way.. we might as well do it in the V12, todays video was nerve wracking for the both of us but it turned out to go really well! She whipped that S65 AMG Mercedes like a boss! I was about her age when my uncle let me drive his brand new '02 Silverado behind our local Walmart. I was prettttty close to hitting a concrete barrier when I realized that a half-ton pickup didn't handle like cars in Gran Turismo did.

She did great 👍, my grandfather threw me into his Chrysler Sebring and had me drive 125+ miles on a rural highway with him to Cali my first time out. I was a right line hugger in the beginning 😂. He would constantly say " Is my a$$ on the white line?" Lmao 😂

I know right, I literally begged my mother to take the day off from work and let me miss school on my birthday so I could get my license and nowadays the kids are more interested in computers and video games and they couldn’t care less about driving. Growing up I went from motorcycles to ATC’s to quads and if I was an out driving a two wheeler a three wheeler or a four wheeler it was a bad day
In our days (or at least in my time in the 70s, when I was a young boy, here in Europe) it was a whole different thing. We didn't have all the distractions that there are today (computers, smartphones, etc.). Today the important thing is that they are with a smartphone in their hand. If our fathers in those days allowed us to take the steering wheel of the car in our hands, we were super excited.
@@aris1956 I am so glad I was able to grow up in the time before everybody had a cell phone or a computer when I was a child Atari was the big thing and I wasn’t into Atari. I remember summertime is a child and we literally would wake up and not come home until dinner, unfortunately those days are over and I made it a point to buy a cabin up in the mountains so I could take my girls skiing and snowmobiling and just doing things and the one rule I had was no cell phones and no electronics while we are at our vacation home
@aris1956 that's one of the best ways we can break the social media insanity, at least for a weekend or a week. It is a sad thing.
I actually owned 2 rust buckets when I was 13. A '78 jeep renegade and a '71 MG midget. I drove the midget around town and learned how to rebuild an engine. The jeep I took up on log roads in the woods and had a blast driving around slow. They totalled $650 together but what an experience. Should have kept the jeep:)

As such I second the request of another episode with the danger ranger. It will be crazy frustrating but ultimately rewarding. Best wishes regardless and great job!

I sold my 2020 C63S AMG Coupe due to the amber engine warning light that kept coming on. Inside word from the AMG technician was you're going to have future problems.

Seeing that she’s going to high school just reminds me how long I’ve been watching this channel, I truly love this channel seeing the growth and also reminding that I’m getting old 😂. But also to see syd so intrigued to be driving is definitely amazing because usually this is a stressful moment for student and teacher but I bet ya she’s gonna become a car gal like her pops their bond is unmatched 🙌🏽

I still remember the slap my father gave me when I was 7 years old and learning to drive his minivan. After that slap, I never made a mistake in driving ever again 😂

@@bobbysixkiller2135 I basically let go off of the clutch too fast and the parking brake was still engaged then the car went flying and almost hit the wall. Very valuable lesson learnt tho. I was learning to drive a manual btw not automatic.

Such a great video! It reminds me of the days when my grandfather taught me how to drive for a first time, I was like 10 years old and we were on a black village road with no cars around, but it was a Opel Vectra and a manual (very popular car in Bulgaria in the mid 00's), not an AMG 😂. I hope you do another video with her, so we can see the progress, and I hope one day she makes a channel and over succeed ❤

I learned to drive in my mom's 2003 CL55 AMG and it started an obsession that has resulted in my current 2021 C63.
She has no idea how lucky she is to be learning in this masterpiece. Unfortunately, she won't be driving a car of this caliber for a long time!

Teaching your kid how to drive is super fun, I recall showing my son and it wasn't long until they are off on their own. Treasure these moments. Super cool to drive a V12 S65 AMG for her first car. I’m a driving instructor in the UK, and this was a nice video, the smile on her face says it all and it looks like you both had fun. Try and avoid words like hit, she’ll do exactly that…. Use words like press or squeeze and use the descriptive word like gently or firmly before, so “gently press the brake pedal” it’s much better and safer than “hit the brake”. No dual controls and all the bhp had me fearing the worst especially when you got out of the car and let her drive solo, but good job dad. The birth of a petrol head.👍

My son is 2 and this hit me in the feels. I let him sit in my lap and pretend drive all the time and it takes me back to a simpler time. He already has a major love for cars that I hope one day he will pass along to his children. Cars are truly magical.

Crazy how much she is growing.. she definitely isn’t that little girl anymore.. have fun in high school! And maybe Mike will continue to teach you to drive in these next two years so when she hits 16, she can get her license quickly! Mike definitely seems to really enjoy his time with Sydney.. I know her father is still around, but Mike is definitely a good dude by including her and accepting her as if she was his own.

Awesome video!! Been watching for years and time sure flies!! You blink and time passes so fast! I got my drivers license in the year 2000! Back then where I live as long as you had completed drivers ed you could get your license the day you turned 15! We didn’t have to drive with a parent or have a learner permit after we passed drivers Ed!
When I got my license my sister was 2 years older than me and she taught me to drive our 94’ Ford escort with manual transmission that we shared! She passed away a few years ago!!
To this day I have never owned a car with an automatic transmission! I had 2 Nissan Sentra spec V inn 03’ and 04’
