This is my first semester as a mechanical engineer and I’ve been researching so much on electrical engineering because it really calls to my attention, this video was great, very informative and I think I’m making the switch, thank you so much!!
Great video, man. I am a mechanical engineer and when I was in college, I used to HATE those electrical engineering classes; Industrial Electronics and another one I'm glad I'm forgetting (lol). Anyway, when I graduated I thought I'd never see those electrical circuits again in my life, and three years later...guess what? Yep. I was assigned to lead a project for an electrical component in the Power Generation branch of electrical engineering. I was working with pure, super smart electrical engineers and to be honest, IT WASN'T THAT BAD! I actually enjoyed working with the experts and learning real-world applications of everything I'd learned in college (even though I hated it then). I ran that project for a couple of years and I must say, I was surprised I enjoyed it. That taught me that sometimes what we enjoy, or hate, in college may not be what we actually end up enjoying in industry. Industry is so complex, much broader, and hopefully, you find wonderful people to work with along the way from whom you can learn. I agree with you, there's no right or wrong answer! The key is to keep your mind open, despite your background, and explore what comes your way. You never know what you'll find!
Agreed! EE classes were my worst nightmare particularly the excruciating 4 hour labs but in retrospect EE is essential to developing a systems-level understanding of any modern product. Believe it or not Benjamin discovered one of the most important things on earth. Yup it all boils down to what our objective is and what we want in life. The more we expand our horizons, the more likely we will discover what we actually want to do in life.
You are the best influencencer because after watching your videos i have switched my goal which is to become robotics engeeniering rather than nurosegen you are the best youtuber
I decided to go with EE for the exact reason that you mentioned at the end of the video, job security and decent pay. Don't get me wrong ME is great but EE has a slight edge
I have now 13 and im interested in technology like, I mean more in mechanical engeneering but, to build what I want to achive I think I will need more that 1 college, 😊
Man, I wish I had seen a video like this 15 years ago! I may have made a drastic change to my university and struggling career pursuits now. I def would've chose EE based on the juxtapositions I see now let alone 15 years back. I've always enjoyed and done better in the electrical technical electives over my ME core curriculum. They didn't even offer any type of programing course besides an "intro to microprocessors" technical elective which I consciously took, despite the chagrin of my advisor! I envy some of you gen-z youngins today :/. Great video!
That means a lot and thanks for watching! It's weird to think programming was not offered back then when it's such an integral part of engineering today. I think it's never too late to explore your passion for EE, whether that's finding a job that includes elements of EE and ME or working on some side projects at home : )
Consider taking it up. I'm getting my second bachelors degree in EE and I am beginning to experience the fruit of my labor and decisions. I'm a senior now and many opportunities are opening up for me. It's a blessing.
EE is a great choice and opens up many doors. Minoring in ME is really nice to have if you want to get into mechatronics and are interested in the mechanical aspect of product development. I don't see any issues as long as you are graduating in 4 years.
@@EngineeringGoneWild I have been considering ME to transfer to aerospace but With an EE major and ME minor or classes, I was considering machine learning or the origamibotics for the human body, if you heard about that? Hopefully I’m not just going on a fictional tangent , and it can be done.
EE and ME are two of the most popular branches of engineering 🔥 Which one did you study 👇

it's really a matter of preference 🙂

impressive ending
an incredible amount of information, thank you
Thanks for sharing 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
really appreciated you showing the top 100 fortune 500 comparison. thank you.

I like both but my school doesn’t offer Mechatronics…

Wonderful sharing My friend
I was worried what i should pick, now iam relieved. thanks bro💖
great vid!
This has helped me a lot! Great video :D
8 like it nice sharing 😊
Very good❤❤🔥🔥
Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍
You forgot mechanical vibrations?
Nice sharing👍2
Screw it, Imma double major, both look so interesting😢
That's what ik considering too lol
Totally unnecessary, but hey if it's worth the extra time and cost to you go for it.
I enjoyed the video, but would you share your thoughts on majoring in electric and minoring in mechanical? Thank you.
